I was now 17 weeks pregnant which means I could find out the gender of my baby! Blake and I have an appointment today and we could not be any more ecstatic. Soon enough, we're at the doctors being called in.

I lay down on the bed as they put gel on my stomach once again. I look up at Blake with a smile and squeeze his hand.

"Do the two of you want to find out right now?" The doctor asks.

"No, thank you. We're wanting to find out tonight with the family and friends." I smile.

"Okay, sounds good! I'll give you an envelope with the gender in it to give to the store."

"Thank you so much!" I tell her and she turns the monitor away from us as she tries to find the baby. When we hear it's heartbeat, we see her smile and turn to us. "The baby is perfect and very healthy."

"I'm so glad!" Blake and I smile. The doctor prints the sonogram pictures and puts it in an envelope for us.

"I can take that. Thanks!" Blake says, as he helps me up.

"No problem! See you next time!" She says as we walk out the door. On the way home, I'm holding Blake's hand as he drives and I'm staring at the envelope.

"I'm so tempted to open it," I say.

"I know it's tempting but don't do it." 

"I know I know," I sigh. We drop the envelope off at the store and go home to get everything ready.

"Blake, why am I so nervous?" I ask him while I walk around, picking up coopers doggy toys.

"Because it's our baby. It's our little boy or girl." Blake turns around and smiles at me while he's making dinner.

"What do you think it is?" I ask.

"Hmmm, I think it's a boy."

"Well, I looked up my symptoms and everything I've been going through all points to a girl."

"Really? Like what?"

"Extreme morning, lots of food cravings, mood swings-"

"You can say that again." I hear blake mutter.

"No uterus no opinion." I quote and glare at blake in which he raises his hands in surrender.

"Anyway, that and a lot more signs. So yeah I think it's a girl." I say. "Do you have any names in mind that aren't completely ridiculous, B?"

"I've always liked the name Wyatt." He smiles.

"Hmm, Wyatt Richardson. Has a nice ring to it."

"Yeah it does. What about for a girl?" He asks me.

"Lili Jane?"

"Lili Jane Richardson. That's a perfect name."

"So if it's a girl, should we name her that?"

"I vote yes." Blake smiles.

"Alright, I guess it's official." I had been thinking over names for weeks and I'm glad Blake agrees with my favourite. "Blake are you good with the food?"

"Yep and I don't want you to do anything else." 

I sigh before saying, "Alright I'm going to take a shower before everyone gets here." I say and I do exactly that. After I get out, I put makeup on and throw on a cute floral top that shows my bump really well along with jeans.

"Is everything ready?" I walk out to the kitchen.

"Yep! And you look beautiful."

"Aw thanks so do you." I laugh. "I wish I could help with all of this, B."

"No no you're doing enough."

Ten minutes later, our best friends arrive along with both of our families not long after. I'm growing more and more excited and I can't wait to find out the gender.

"You look beautiful, sweetheart." Mum hugs me.

"Aw thank you." I smile. Reece and Indie come up to me as well to give me a big hug.

"You ready?" Reece asks. 

"So ready." I grin. We had asked Soulla to pick up the gender reveal smoke bombs, so we all gathered to the backyard where she handed them to us. Every camera was pointed at us as we counted down.

"3...2...1!" We pulled the string and pink smoke filled the air. I hug Blake, who is grinning wide.

"We're going to have a little girl." He kisses me and pulls away as everyone comes to hug us. 

"Congratulations, Blake and Lani!" Carson comes and gives me a big hug.

"Thank you!"

"I'm so excited to have a little niece."

We all went inside to eat dinner and Indie and Delilah give me big bear hugs. "I'm so happy for you, Leilani."

"Thank you!" 

"Do you have any name ideas yet?" Indie asks.

"We have a name decided already."

"You do?" Delilah asks in surprise.

"Yeah we decided it right before everyone came over." I smile and put my hands on my ever-growing belly. "Lili Jane Richardson."

"She'll have the same initials as you!" Delilah squeals.

"I didn't realize that." I laugh.

"It's a perfect name." Indie grins. "Oh man, I'm so excited to meet her!" She says.

"Remember when you refused to admit that you and blake liked each other? Yeah, you're welcome for helping you realize that." Delilah laughs.

"Well, thank you." I laugh as well.

I haven't updated this book in a while and thought you guys deserved it. this book almost has 1.2k reads!! that's nuts!! Thank you to all my readers I appreciate it so much💕 I feel like this story is getting cheesier by the chapter but idc anymore lol

also, I've been researching all these pregnancy facts bc I don't want to be wrong bc I'm just that much of a perfectionist lol and I'm pretty sure that if my mom looked through my search history she'd think I was pregnant LOL

I'm so sad about all the blake drama. he doesn't deserve any of it😔😔😔
