"HA BEAT YA!" The Doctor shouted when he got to the TARDIS about ten seconds before Jana. "Okay you beat me by ten seconds that's not a lot." Jana said putting her hands on her hips. "Alright let's just go." The Doctor said before opening up the door to the TARDIS. "So where to?" Jana asked. "I haven't the slightest idea." The Doctor said with a smirk. He started pushing buttons and flipping switches again and then pulled the handbrake with absolutely no warning. The TARDIS started shaking again and Jana was flung back until she hit a rail. "Ow." Jana said slightly annoyed with The Doctor for not telling her to hold on to something. Suddenly everything stopped shaking. "Let's see where we are." said The Doctor cheerfully. He ran over to the door and opened it. "Oh Jana you're gonna like this." He said in a excited voice. Jana got up and walked over to the door. "Where are we?" Jana asked. They seemed to be in front of a diner. "I know we're in America but I don't know what state. I do know when we are though." The Doctor said grinning at Jana. "Um okay when are we?" Jana asked. "I know that it's sometime in the 50's." The Doctor said shutting the door and grinning from ear to ear. "Jana I believe this calls for an outfit change." The Doctor said. "This is all I brought though." Jana replied. "No problem. Follow me." The Doctor said before walking up one of the many staircases that branched out from the TARDIS's console. Jana followed him. They went into a room and Jana's mouth dropped open. "Wow I guess I don't need to worry about bringing something." Jana said in awe. The room they stood in had clothes for about any time or any place. The Doctor turned to Jana and said"Take your pick they should all be your style and size." Then walked out of the room. Jana picked out a pink blouse with a white shirt under it and a poodle skirt. The blouse also had a poodle on it. She put her hair into low Fifty-ish looking pigtails and walked out of the room and into the console room. After waiting a couple of minutes for The Doctor, Jana went outside. After standing there for a little bit she heard a rumbling noise from inside the TARDIS. The doors flew open and The Doctor came out riding on a blue scooter.(The motorcycle-ish kind) He had swapped his trench coat for a leather jacket,his dress shirt and tie for a simple white T-shirt and his dress pants for jeans. He wore shades too. He grinned mischievously at Jana and said"You need a ride?" patting the handlebars of the scooter. "Sure." Jana said ,trying her hardest not to burst out laughing. The Doctor handed her a helmet. Jana put it on and got on the scooter. "Um how am I gonna stay on the scooter?" Jana said, knowing it would be awkward for both her and The Doctor if she had to hold on to him. "Just hold on to me. I know it's awkward but its the only way you're gonna stay on the scooter." The Doctor said. Jana did as he said and The Doctor rode towards the diner. Jana wondered how The Doctor was so good at riding a scooter considering he was thirteen like Jana.(or so she thought XD) They pulled up in front of the diner which was called Bethany's Diner. "You know I just realized that I'm really hungry." Jana said implying that she wanted to go inside. "Let's go inside." The Doctor said taking the hint. They got off of the scooter and took off their helmets. "What are we gonna do with these?" Jana asked gesturing to her helmet. "Oh,um. I guess put it on the handlebars of the scooter." The Doctor said putting his helmet on one of the handlebars. Jana did the same. Jana and The Doctor walked inside and sat down at a booth. The Doctor took off his shades. "Where did you get those?" Jana asked referring to The Doctor's shades. "Oh I found them." The Doctor said while smiling his face off. "Okaaaaay." Jana said confused as to why The Doctor was smiling like that. A waitress walked over to the booth that Jana and The Doctor were sitting at. "What do you two want to eat?" "Um.... I'll take a hamburger, fries, Coke-a-Cola,and a chocolate milkshake." Jana said. "I'll take the same." said The Doctor. "Okay I'll be right out with that!" the waitress said before walking away. "So how do you like it?" The Doctor asked Jana. "What the diner or time travel?" Jana replied laughing. "Time travel! DUH" The Doctor said before bursting out into laughter. "I really think its AWESOME!" Jana said. "Shhhhhhh we're the only people who know what we're talking about so don't scream or people will think that you're more insane than you really are!" The Doctor whispered both warningly and teasingly. Jana started laughing really hard. The bell attached to the door rang as it did every time the door was opened. Two teenage boys and two teenage girls walked into the diner and glared over at The Doctor and Jana. "What's up with that?" Jana asked in a low voice. "I have no idea but it doesn't look good." The Doctor replied. The people who were glaring at Jana and The Doctor went over to the booth they were sitting at. One of the teenage boys slammed his hands down on the table. "This is our booth." He said. "Um....you don't have a certain booth, I'm afraid." The Doctor said. "Who are you to tell us what we have and don't have!?" Said one of the girls who sounded like she was from New Jersey. "We were here first though!" Jana said. "HA,What are you,a preschooler?!" Said the other girl who also sounded like she was from New Jersey. Jana looked at The Doctor not believing that they were being bullied like this. He looked back at her sympathetically. The boy who had his hands on the table looked at Jana and smiled a sickeningly sweet smile. At this Jana saw The Doctor whip his head around to look at the boy. "Don't.....you.....dare.....do....anything....to....hurt......her."The Doctor said his voice cold and filled with rage. The boy smirked at The Doctor and slapped Jana's arm.....hard. "And what are YOU gonna do about it?" the boy said. Jana looked down at her arm. The slap had left a red handprint on her arm which was rapidly fading. The pain,on the other hand, was fading much more slowly. The Doctor stood up glaring at the boy. "HA you think that you can take ME?!" The boy laughed. "No I don't,because I won't fight,but I do know how to prove a point." The Doctor said coldly. "Ohhhh I'm soooo scared." the boy laughed sarcastically. The Doctor looked at the corner of the room where a jukebox was blasting music. He then looked at Jana and whispered "Cover your ears." Jana did as she was told. The Doctor put his hand into his jacket pocket and pulled out a strange device. It was a whiteish silverish color with a blue bulb on the top. "Ohhhh a flashlight even scaaaaaareeeeeer." The boy laughed mockingly. The Doctor simply pointed the divice at the jukebox and said,"Ill give you one more chance,go away and don't bother us." The boy laughed at this and said "You can't tell us what to do." The Doctor pressed a button on the device pointed at the jukebox. A horrible high pitched shriek came from the jukebox causing everybody in the diner to scream. The Doctor released the button and smirked at the group of bullies who were now either crouching on the floor holding their ears or had fallen into a booth holding their ears. "Jana I think we should go." The Doctor said,sounding satisfied with himself. "Yeah we probably should."Jana said. They walked out and got on The Doctor's scooter. Before he started up the scooter The Doctor turned to Jana and asked,"Are you okay?" Jana looked at The Doctor and smiled. "Never better." Jana said as The Doctor started up the scooter.

After they had changed back into their normal clothes Jana and The Doctor returned home in the TARDIS. When Jana got out she saw that it was nearly dark outside. "Where are you gonna stay." Jana asked. "Ill stay in the TARDIS." The Doctor answered. "Meet you here at about noon." Jana said. "How bout I meet you at the mall at about eleven-o-clock?" The Doctor asked as he was not one for waiting. "Okay that'll do." Jana said. She dident like waiting either. Jana walked into her house not knowing that her parents expected her home over an hour ago.
