4: feeling vs. knowing
Remember that feeling and knowing are two dofferent things. That is very important to remember.
Here's an example of how this is so:
Let's say there's someone who has depression. They know that in the end it gets better, but at the moment, they don't feel like it, they pain feels like it'll never end. You can tell them "it'll be okay," but it's such empty words they already know. You may think that becajse they're in so much pain, they may not know that, but this person does. You told them something useless that doesn't help at all.
Now, let's change this scenario a bit. Let's say that you understand that they know it'll be okay, they just don't feel it, you now say something that does help, "I am here for you."
And bam!!! You may have just saved a life.
Unimportant? Pfft, yeah, right.
