ELIANA LIETH LOST FAITH IN POLITICS. She had been an intern for the Senator of Naboo for much of her early 20s and it made her realise how much of a mess it was. She had grown up as the New Republic stabilised and yet when she finally stepped through the doors of the Senate, there was no stability at all. Initially, her life goal had been to provide for the betterment of the galaxy but the more she sat in the Senate, the more she realised how flawed and irreparable the system was.

Then the First Order began to grow and she watched as the Senate sat idly by. So she left. With no plan and nowhere to go, ELIANA left only to be saved by LEIA ORGANA. The older woman took her under her wing and introduced her to the Resistance, where ELIANA found her true calling. Piloting.

She rose through the ranks quickly and her natural affinity meant she outgrew most rivals. Until POE DAMERON. He was the one person she couldn't seem to beat and thus their rivalry began. It was a well-known and documented rivalry, every win and loss was bet on or counted by their friends. Even LEIA was somewhat aware.

Which is why ELIANA was horrified to find that she was sent on an undercover op with the very man she had spent the better half of her years in the Resistance trying to beat.
