xxi. quality quidditch supplies

This summers been, amazing.

Honestly. There's never a dull moment with the Weasley family, and I absolutely love it here.

Me and Ginny have grown closer. She's a really great kid, totally obsessed with quidditch. She usually wakes me and the twins up in the middle of the night to fly around outside, though, I don't mind.

One week until we're back at school, and we're heading to Diagon Alley today. It's odd to think about what will happen this year, but as we promised each other last year, Angelina and I are trying out for the quidditch team. Charlie's been good about giving us pointers, but not exactly helping us.

Charlie has also been having a girl over, I've spoken to her once or twice. Her name is Andy, she's pretty nice. They both talk about a whole bunch of animal nonsense so Fred and George make fun of them a lot.

I love the twins. They're the best. I don't think the summer would be the same without them. Well, Ron's trying to stand over my shoulder while he tells me we're leaving. So that all for now,

Tori.

p.s. I also learned how to swim!

"Alright! I'm coming. Bloody hell!" Tori sighed, throwing a ball of paper at the ten-year-old boy. Ron wrinkled his nose at her, racing out of the room. Tori shut her notebook, tucking it under her pillow before grabbing her letter that sat on Ginny's vanity.

She tucked it into her short's pockets, rushing down the stairs. She ran her fingers through her hair, jumping off the last step. "Tori head to the living room please." Molly smiled at the young girl before turning back towards the stairs and beginning to shout. "CHARLES! PERCY! IF YOU TWO AREN'T DOWN HERE IN THE NEXT FIVE MINUTES WE ARE LEAVING WITHOUT YOU BOYS!"

Tori snickered, ducking under some flying toy as she walked into the living room. Fred was arguing with Ron about... something. George sat on the couch, reading the Daily Prophet to Ginny. Tori plopped down next to them, listening in.

"Canada takes the win against Scotland during this year's Quidditch World Cup. In this grueling five day match, Canada won with two hundred seventy points, while Scotland had two hundred forty. It was 'a bitter disappointment' for Scotland, as Scottish Seeker Hector Lamont missed the Golden Snitch by millimeters. In a post-match interview, Lamont blamed his father 'Stubby' Lamont for not giving him longer fingers."

Tori scoffed, rolling her head back against the couch. "Wow. Imagine that—" She was cut off by Percy storming into the room, red in the face. "YOU! YOU TWO DID THIS!" He screeched louder than a tawny owl, pointing to his now bright green hair.

Tori has to cover her mouth to stop from laughing. Even Arthur, who had come into the screaming, looked like he was going to choke back a laugh. Percy, unsurprisingly, did not find this funny. He went on a tangent, going on about how he didn't get any respect and how he was tired of it.

"Percy enough! You can wear a hat until we get home! In which your brothers will be cleaning up after dinner every day until they leave for school." Molly shot a look at the twins, who sighed.

"Come on, we must be going." She gestured first the unlit fireplace and Tori knew they were using the floo powder. Charlie came down the stairs, his letter in hand.

"Fred, George, Tori? You three first." The trio rose from the couch, getting death stares from Percy as he put on one of his father's hats.

The three of them grabbed hands as Molly handed George the floo powder. "Wait for us there, be careful!" The trio nodded, speaking together.

"Diagon Alley!"

Tori shut her eyes, clutching her friends' hands tightly. She felt herself stretch in ten of thousands of different ways. She could also pretty sure she could hear laughing.

She felt herself lurch forward, suddenly stopping and once again being on her feet. "You can open your eyes." George poked his friend, lightly.

Tori listened to him, opening one of her eyes before opening the other. The bright buildings of Diagon Alley caught her eye, filling her with a familiar sense of delight.

Another sound came from behind them, causing the trio to jump. Charlie, Percy, and Ron appeared, quickly stepping out to make room for Molly, Arthur, and Ginny.

"Alright. Look at your letters, only buy what you need. Nothing else." She sent a stern look towards the twins and began handing out money to her children.

Tori felt her money in her pocket, turning away from the family. She hated being there during their talks about money. She always felt guilty, her family had always been at the top of the wizard hierarchy. She was the rich kid, who had her own vault and never, ever, had money problems.

The Weasley's weren't like that. They struggled a lot but didn't seem to mind. They filled it all up with love and appreciation for each other. Maybe that was better than money.

"Alright. Meet back here before noon!" Molly shouted. The children ran off, ready to explore more of the alley for themselves. Tori walked with the twins, reading her letter.

"We need a copy of Magical Drafts and Potions, The Standard Book of Spells; Grade 2 by Miranda Goshawk, One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi, A History of Magic, and A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration."

"Sounds boring," Fred admitted, swinging his and Tori's hand. She realized she had never let go, and George came to a very similar conclusion. He smirked, whistling a tune as he turned away.

Tori found an excuse to let go by pointing to the quidditch shop. "Do you think we'll need to buy a broom to try out?" She asked as they all walked towards the display case. It was cover in brooms and Scottish flags since they won the World Cup. The signs were screaming at the children to rush in and buy a broom from their favorite team. Tori tore her eyes away to look at Fred, who shook his head. "Most kids only buy a broom once they're on the team. Or, that's at least what Charlie did."

"That's probably the best idea," Tori admitted, her eyes on the beautiful broom in front of her. It was a Comet Two Hundred Sixty broom, which was one of the best brooms of all time. Tori felt the urge to rush in and buy it, but she decided to wait. If she made the team, she would buy it. If.

"Come on," Tori told the twins, yanking them away from the store. "Let's go get our books."
