x. the weasleys

Before Tori could even open her eyes she was tackled in a hug. "I'm so glad you're alright!" Fred's voice caused Tori to smile, as she quickly hugged her friend back.

She felt everything, all the fear and anxiety melt away. She hugged her friend tightly, feeling truly safe.

"Tori? You're here!" Another voice called and Tori felt an impact. She looked up to see George joining the hug with both Tori and his brother.

A door opened, revealing a women's voice. "Fred, George." The trio broke apart, seeing a woman staring at them. Tori recognized her as Mrs. Weasley from the train station.

Fred stood in front of Tori who was visibly confused. "Mum, can we talk?" He gestured into the kitchen and his mother followed, glancing at Tori.

"What's going on?" Tori whispered to George. The twin shrugged sheepishly, "Don't get mad, but Fred didn't tell Mum, or anyone really, you were coming..."

"What?!" Tori whispered shouted. She was bewildered. "Fred said it would be fine!"

"He was worried about you Tori, you should have seen him. I've never seen him write so fast." Tori sighed, shaking her head. "Won't your mum..."

And it was that second that the kitchen door burst open and Tori was scooped into yet another hug. This time it was from Mrs. Weasley herself.

"Oh you poor thing, you stay here as long as you need to, alright honey?" Mrs. Weasley broke away and brushed the dust off of Tori.

"Mrs. Weasley..."

"You can call me Molly, dear."

"Oh, um, Molly, I understand if you don't have any room for me. I didn't know I was going to be unexpected..." Tori shot a look a Fred, who smiled weakly at her.

"Oh, nonsense! You'll have to share a room but it will make due. Hold on, GINNY! COME DOWN HERE!"

There was a pounding noise, and a ginger headed girl came down the stairs. She hopped off the last step, just like Dove would do.

"Yes, Mum?"

"This is Tori, she's going to be staying with us for a little while, can you get the spare bed out for her? And clean that corner of your room so it's not a mess." The redhead nodded and made her way upstairs. "Boys," Molly turned towards the twins. "You two can take Tori's trunk upstairs."

After about ten minutes, and a lot of complaining that Tori must have had bricks in her trunk, the twins manage to place it onto the spare bed that was across from Ginny.

Ginny was sitting on her bed, looking into her vanity mirror. The twins left Tori at the doorway of Ginny's room and Tori didn't know what to say.

"I'm sorry to take up any space," Tori told the girl, genuinely feeling guilty.  Ginny was kind of forced into it, but she only shrugged, "Do you know how to braid hair?"

"What?"

"Do you know how to braid hair? Mum's too busy and nobody else will help me."

"Uh, yeah." Tori came towards Ginny, who sat down in front of her mirror. Ginny handed her a brush and a hair tie, and Tori got to work.

She had braided not only her hair, but her sisters before, so it didn't take long. She started from the top of Ginny's head and began working her way down. Ginny made a face everything Tori pulled something.

"Sorry," Tori mumbled, continuing with her hair, she was almost at the bottom when there was a knock at the door. Tori turned her head to see Fred who was smiling as he watched.

"Uh, Seems you're a bit busy, don't mind me, but we're having one of my mum's meat pies for dinner, you still hungry?"

Tori adjusted her fingering and nodded. She hadn't eaten much and definitely was hungry. "Uh, yeah. I could eat. Thank you."

Fred shot her another smile and left as Tori tied the hairband around the rest of Ginny's hair.

The Eight-year-old looked at Tori in the mirror. "Are you dating my brother?"

Tori threw her a startled look, "What? No, I'm not dating Fred! We're too young for that stuff and..." She trailed off, seeing Ginny smirk. "What?"

"I never asked if you were dating Fred."

Tori stared at the girl as she continued smirking. Ginny got up from her chair and grabbed Tori's hand, leading her down the stairs and to the kitchen. Which smelled amazing, by the way. Ginny gestured to the chair next to her and Tori hesitantly sat, afraid she was taking another's chair.

"That's Charlie's chair." Fred plopped down in the one next to her, "He'll just sit in Dad's tonight. He's working late. Again."

"Victoria?" Percy came down the stairs with Charlie, who looked happy to see her. "Hi, Tori!" Charlie greeted her cheerfully, sit down across from her. Percy wasn't really like that. "What are you doing here?" He asked, looking around like her brother was going to jump out any minute.

"She was probably invited, now sit down and eat," Charlie said. "I'm starving."

"Again. I'm sorry again if I take up any room," Tori glanced at the bed she would be sleeping before turned towards Ginny, who only shrugged. They had just finished dinner and Tori loved the Weasley's already. They were everything her family wasn't and she loved it. She had even met the eldest brother, Bill, who was very nice to her.  "You're okay. My Aunt Muriel used to stay here during Christmas. So I'm used to it, let's just hope you don't snore."

Tori laughed, promising Ginny she didn't. "Plus, it's nice to have another girl in the house, especially one who can do hair. Mom's always busy, Ron usually too busy watching Fred and George play quidditch, and George is usually playing quidditch..."

"Wait. George does hair?" Tori raised an eyebrow.

"You told her my secret! Now she'll never think I'm cool!" George appeared at the doorway, dramatically gasping before falling on the ground. "He's dead!" Fred gasped, falling to the ground and pushing on his brother's gut to give him air.

"Neither of you guys are cool." Tori shook her head as Ginny giggled, kicking George's foot. "Words hurt, dear Tori," Fred replied, his hand over his heart.

"Is it time?" Ginny asked her two older brothers, who nodded. "Time for what?" Tori looked at the siblings in confusion. "Quidditch, of course." Fred and George answered in unison, looking at her like it was obvious.

"Come on, you've played before, right?" George asked her as they left Ginny's room. Tori nodded, "I've played Keeper, once and Chaser a few times."

Over the summer her brother had brought friends over and they needed an extra player. Tori was pretty good at the sport, but she hadn't played in a while since first years weren't allowed to join the team.

"Good, cause we need a chaser." Charlie came up behind the group while they made their way outside. "Good luck trying to get Percy, he's studying."

Fred groaned, picking up a broom and handing one to Tori. "You'll be on my team," Charlie told her when she asked. "We don't have enough for a full team. You said you played Chaser right?"

"A couple of times..." Tori replied, Charlie, shrugged. "That's good enough for me, You'll play chaser, I'll play seeker, George will play beater and Ginny will be the Keeper." Tori nodded. "Okay,"

"Don't worry, the Bludgers aren't real." George grinned, "They're just old muggle balls that Dad put an enchantment on."

After getting help from Charlie, Tori managed to get her broom in the air and make her way over towards Percy, who had finally come out of his room. Mrs. Weasley came towards the center with a ball that looked very similar to the quaffle, "Now please be careful, and try not to knock each other off of your brooms." She shot a look at Fred and George, both who grinned.

Molly threw that ball into the air, and the game started.
