Chapter Five
Harry woke up to his head buried in Draco's chest. A smile formed on his face, knowing who he was with and what happened last night.
Draco's breathing was even, showing he was still asleep. His arms were wrapped around Harry, leaving him immobilized, which he didn't mind. He snuggled in closer, and closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep again.
Draco woke up to find a sleeping Harry curled up in his arms. Warmth seemed to fill Draco as he watched the boy sleep peacefully. He watched him for a bit until Harry stirred.
"Good morning, love," Draco murmured quietly as Harry sat up.
"Good morning, ferret," Harry replied with a yawn.
"How'd you sleep?" He said, sitting up.
"I always seem to sleep well when I'm with you," Harry replied with a grin.
Draco smiled at his boyfriend, happiness overflowing from his heart, making him feel warm. He leaned down to kiss Harry lovingly, once they first kissed, they couldn't seem to stop.
"Do I really have to wait till next Friday to see you again?" Draco complained.
"I wish I didn't have to wait either, but if people found out, it wouldn't end well," Harry replied.
Draco sighed miserably. "I hate to break this up, but this time I promised Pansy and Blaise to hang out. I bid you good day, Scarhead."
Harry smiled at Draco's back as he left the room.
When Draco got into the Slytherin common room, he was greeted by a smirking Pansy, and laughing Blaise.
"Heyyy, Draco," Pansy smirked. "Have fun with Potter?"
Draco's face immediately turned red, causing Pansy to join in with Blaise's laughter. "H-How did you find out?" He spluttered.
"It was pretty obvious, darling," Pansy said, regaining composure. "I could already tell you liked Potter, all I needed was proof that he liked you, and when he ran into you in the hallway, that was all the explanation I needed," she smiled. "I'm very happy for you, Draco. You two are fucking adorable, although I'm not sure how Potter puts up with such a tight arse like you," Draco smacked her.
The next Friday, Harry stayed in the common room till everyone left, or so he thought. A certain intelligent Gryffindor was standing in the shadows, with Harry's invisibility cloak covering her. With one last look around the common room, Harry left, not knowing Hermione was behind him.
Harry made his way to the Room of Requirement, standing right next to the door, seemingly waiting for someone. Hermione nearly screamed when she saw a certain Slytherin come up behind him and give him a hug.
"Woah, Draco!" Harry laughed turning around so he was facing the taller boy.
"Hi, Harry," he smiled down at him, love shimmering in his eyes. "You're early."
"So are you," he pointed out.
"Yes, but I'm always early."
Hermione couldn't believe her eyes. She must be seeing things, there's no way this was actually happening. Harry... and Malfoy? She followed the two into the Room of Requirement, to see if this was all some cruel joke Malfoy was playing on her best friend. Once they went in, Malfoy did the unthinkable. He grabbed Harry's tie, and pulled him in for a kiss.
Hermione gasped, waiting for Harry to pull away from the Slytherin, but instead, he did the opposite. He leaned into the kiss, a small moan escaping his throat as Draco's tongue slithered into his mouth.
Hermione was frozen with shock. This wasn't actually happening. This was a bad dream, a nightmare she couldn't wake up from. Even though she was horrified at the sight of the two so close, she couldn't help but note how their bodies fit together, as if they were puzzle pieces. When the two broke off for air, she could see the love shimmering in Harry's eyes, and for his sake, she hoped this wasn't just an act.
"How's your week been?" Harry asked after the pair caught their breath.
Draco shrugged. "Okay, I guess. But, pretty dull, considering you're the highlight of my week," He smirked and winked at Harry, causing him to turn bright red.
"Well, Malfoy, you have no room to talk when you're my entire world," Harry shot back.
"Well, Potter, I've liked you since 1st year, when you only started liking me two years ago," He said, emphatically. Harry blushed crimson when he heard Draco say this.
"And you never thought to tell me?"
Draco laughed. "Harry, be realistic. We were supposed to hate each other, how would you feel if one day after we fought, I just randomly said 'Oh, by the way, I'm in love with you,' and just walked off?"
Harry giggled. "Fair point, Malfoy. Guess you win this battle."
"A Malfoy never loses," Draco said before diving in for another kiss.
Hermione was speechless at this point. The two boys were civil with each other, more than civil. Now that she thought about it, when Harry and Malfoy collided in the hallway, they had both gone beet red, and the malice in Malfoy's comment was lacking. Although the idea was absurd, the more she watched the pair, the more it made sense. Harry had always seemed to have an unhealthy obsession with Malfoy. When her attention finally went back to the two boys, they were wrapped around each other, fast asleep.
I shouldn't be here, she realized. They only see each other like this once a week. I shouldn't be intruding. And with that, she left the room, quietly closing the door behind her.
