Chapter 8
I am trying so hard to do my homework. But let me ask you this: have you ever tried to do work of any kind, when your house is full of noise? And I mean FULL.
Mom is yelling at Nick for inviting ALL his friends over, without permission. They just broke the 9th plate this month. In the living room, Charles is watching some too full action movie with Mitcha. Why can't I watch with them? Because that 1 (in Mitcha's case 2) year gain they have on me, added to my being a girl, apparently equals a movie I've already seen being 'too gory' for me. Uuuuh!
Korry's music is cranked to the max, and so is her singing. Or should I say screeching. Ty, who was supposed to pick me up in 10 minutes, got here 20 minutes early. Now, him and dad are trying to talk about something, but it's so loud they have to shout just to hear each other. This of course just adds to the din.
The twins (Zack and Thomas) are most likely the source of the crashing and banging that I assume is coming from the basement. They actually sound pretty good on a real drum set, that's why, when Ty takes me to dance, he also takes the twins to their drum classes.
Nelson is currently unaccounted for.
Scratch that. I just chased him out of my room. While he's in his birthday suit. Fun.
To be honest, I'm surprised Benny isn't... Know what? Scratch that too. He's crying now. Or, rather, screaming.
I've tried turning up my own music, but that just raises the overall noise level. And everyone's response is the same: crank up their volume to match. And once the volume goes up, it ain't ever lowered.
We'll, I really need to get back to my vain attempt at algebra.
