Chapter 15 - The Truth untold part 2

(Warning - sensitive themes mentioned but nothing bad happens - I promise)

Yoongi was awoken by droplets of rain pattering down his face. The alley was not covered over, so the rain got in easily.

His vision was blurry and he still felt weak from running so far even though they had been passed out for hours.

Hight had fallen over the city, and the only light was a flickering orange box on the side of the wall, covered in slimy green moss. The black sky above them looked threatening even though the storm had passed, and the rain still persisted, and Yoongi could tell his clothes were soaked - he could see his skin through the material.

Sitting up slowly, he groaned, rubbing his eyes with wet, muddy hands and flinching as the dirt entered them. It stung... a lot.

When he could see again, he looked around for Jimin. The boy was still passed out on the path, soaked with rain and blood. Mud was smeared all over his hair from where he had collapsed, and his face was blank with no expression.

Yoongi shakily stood up and stumbled over to the boy, only just realizing how dangerously cold he felt. It would be very unlikely that he escaped a fever after enduring this.

Kneeling down beside Jimin in the muddy puddle, he wiped the water and dirt off his face and helped him to sit up, but there was still no sign of consciousness in the boy.

"Wake up..." He begged, slapping his cheek lightly as a thunderclap echoed through the sky.

Great... So the storm hadn't stopped...

Yoongi looked around, but they were in the middle of the alley and no one was there. No one he could ask for help.

In all his years of running and living by himself, he had never felt so alone.

Yes, he had Jimin (barely), but Hoseok was gone, and Jungkook too. He didn't realise how happy he had been until he had lost everything...

A vicious roar of thunder stirred him from his thoughts and he stood up, carrying Jimin bridal style in the pouring rain.

He was about to leave the alley when suddenly he heard a voice.

Two voices.

No... three.

Three men entered the alleyway and Yoongi backed up slightly, nervous about what they would do. He had heard stories about people trapped in alleyways and people doing terrible things, and he was far too cold and weak to fight back at that moment.

He nearly dropped Jimin as his legs buckled, and he had to put the boy down again. He had to admit defeat to the exhaustion and hunger ripping through him.

"What have we here?" One of the men laughed as they approached them.

Yoongi was on his knees, while Jimin laid flat on the soaking wet ground. The rain was still hammering down...

He looked up at the three men, who were far too close for comfort, and moved in front of the boy protectively, which the people teased him for.

"Keeping your little buddy safe are we?" One of them mocked. "What did you do to him to put him in that state? Rape? Knife wound?"

It was then they noticed the blood on Yoongi's shirt. It was almost pitch black, but the silvery moonlight cast eerie shadows over the place, and the orange light was flickering more than ever.

"Good god kid... You really did stab someone..." The main man said curiously.

Yoongi barely had time to react before the guy grabbed his collar and lifted him off the ground.

"Search him. He could have anything down his trousers."

He felt the men's hands frisk his body and immediately felt uncomfortable. He knew this wasn't going to end well...

"No knife boss."

"Good..." The man smirked. "Then we can get straight to work!"

The blonde boy's eyes opened wide as he realised what he meant, but it was too late. He was slammed up against the wall hard, which forced a cry from his throat.

"Beg for help, Kid." The man grinned. "No one will come."

Yoongi was slammed against the wall again, groaning as his skull made contact with the slimy, wet bricks.

"H...Help..." He begged, voice cracking from the cold. "P...Please!!!"

"Too late kid." The guy growled, tossing him on the floor.

"Or is it?" Someone said from behind.

Suddenly, then man who had been abusing Yoongi collapsed next to him and the blonde looked up, confused.

The other two men were squaring up to Jimin, who was standing in front of Yoongi protectively, and just like that, the tables had turned. Yoongi was the most helpless of the two of them.

Jimin dodged a fist from one of the men and shoved his heel into the man's groin, making him cry out and fall down.

The other man ran away, not wanting to get caught up in the mess.

Jimin ran beside Yoongi and rested a hand behind his head.

"Are you alright?"

The boy nodded and they both stood up.

"We have to get away from here." Yoongi sighed over the thundering rain.

Jimin nodded and they began to walk as quickly as they could out of the alley.

The drops of rain felt like bullets, and the claps of thunder like furious rocket engines. They picked up the pace and made their way to a small hotel. Yoongi paid for a room and they scrambled there as fast as they could.

Yoongi let Jimin shower first, as he knew he was the most vulnerable, and needed to warm up and get out of his clothes.

While he waited, he stripped out of his soaked shirt and jeans and wrapped himself in one of the hotel bedsheets. He also made sure to draw all the curtains to try and block out the storm, as he knew Jiminie had a phobia of thunder.

Just as he was about to sit down, he heard a gentle sniffling coming from the bathroom. Standing up, he walked slowly over to investigate, pressing his ear up against the door.

He tapped his knuckles on the wood and spoke softly.

"Jiminie? Are you okay?"

No reply.

He asked again but was still answered with silence.

Trying the door handle, he discovered it wasn't locked, and gently pushed it open.

"Jiminie?"

What he saw then was not anything he had expected.

The boy was sat up against the bathtub which was filled to the brim with water with the taps still running, and he was still in his rain-soaked clothes. Tears were streaming down his face like rivers of sadness, and he was holding a picture of Hobi, which he had set alight to in one corner.

"JIMINIE!" Yoongi gasped, running forward and grabbing the photo, burning his fingers lightly in the process. He threw the paper into the bath, where it hissed and extinguished. He hastily turned the taps off and turned to the younger, who was still weeping silently.

Sitting down slowly beside him, Yoongi looked over at the boy and wrapped an arm around his shoulder, pulling him close. Jimin sobbed and buried his face in Yoongi's chest.

The older man gently rocked him, stroking his hair like a child and whispering soothing words.

"Shhh Jiminie.... Don't cry... I'm here... Don't cry..."

"I just want to end it all..." The younger sobbed. "I can't live this way any more...I want to die!"

Tears filled Yoongi's eyes hearing the boy speak like this. Gone was the happy, bouncy boy who had given him tea on the night of the car accident. Vanished was the person who laughed and messed around with him in the hotel room. This wasn't Park Jimin.

This was a broken man.

Jimin cried into his chest, shaking with tears. He needed his life to go back to normal: when he wasn't on the run; when he and Hobi and Yoongi could just mess around like friends; when there wasn't a constant risk of being betrayed, hunted or shot...

When you knew your friends would still be alive the next day.

He held onto Yoongi like he was the only thing left in his world. To be honest... he was.

Yoongi was the only person he had left. He didn't know the fate of Hobi or Jungkookie. The only man he knew was safe was the man holding him close at that minute. The man he couldn't help but secretly fall hopelessly in love with...

Min Yoongi.

No one had ever treated him like this before. Yes - Hobi was a good Hyung, and amazing roommate, but Yoongi truly cared for him. Yoongi made him want to live.

When he thought about it, he had done so much for their group. He was the one who paid for the hotel that night. Yoongi was the one who had snuck into the house and smuggled them their possessions to stop him going in there and risk getting caught. He was even the one who had rescued him from the crowd, and Jungkook from the train...

From the moment he saw him, he had this feeling. He didn't know what it was at that point but it was clear now. He loved Min Yoongi.

His tears eventually stopped flowing as the boy began to speak again. His voice was soothing no matter what words he spoke.

"I am so sorry about Hobi, Jiminie..." The older whispered, for neither of them knew if the boy had survived or not. "I am sorry about everything... this is all my fault..."

"What do you mean?" Jimin asked, looking up at him with confused, red, teary eyes. "How is this in any way your fault?"

Yoongi sighed.

He couldn't keep this up. Not any more

He had had enough of this.

No more lies.

No more hiding.

He took a deep breath and looked away from Jimin. He couldn't bare to look at him.
