Chapter 1
Amina didn't know what was wrong with them. Their mother was talking to the guards about something. It was as if they didn't exist, and it aggravated them.
"-ou sure? You'd be risking her life-" The guard tried talking Laine out of whatever she was planning. "I'm positive. She's going to work in the guard, whether she wants to or not." The queen hissed.
Amina already understood who they were talking about. They sighed and walked out of the castle. It was a gorgeous castle, but they needed a break.
Her paws guided them to the Great Cavern. Amina walked in, seeking answers.
They walked around the cavern with a stick, dragging it across the walls. When Amina finished, the stick was on fire. They dropped it into a small hole, illuminating the stars. Amina walked to the center of the cavern, and laid down. "I need answers to my questions please. Why does mom hate me? It's like she treats me as if I killed our entire family! My younger brother gets more attention than I ever did. Why?" Amina asked.
Silence.
Amina opened their eyes and started examining the stars. They frowned when they couldn't find anything. "Sorry I asked." They apologized and left.
It was around late night when Amina returned. Queen Laine glared at Amina. "Get ready, you're working in the guard since you're nothing but a monster. You can have something since I've decided that you're still my daughter and have some worth." Queen Laine hissed. Amina nodded. "Yes mother." She mumbled.
Amina walked over to their room behind the staircase. It was comfortable, cozy, and a full room. It could've been worse, like a closet or the coldest room, but Amina didn't really care.
They got a few things, such as their golden crown, and walked out. A guard was waiting, and took them out of the castle, all the way to another building. It was close to the great Daisy Leap land. The largest of the leaps. "You'll start training tomorrow. It's useless to have you otherwise." The guard stated. Amina nodded, and walked inside, taking a bunkbed and laying down.
When the guard left, another 'cat walked in. "Hi..." He greeted. Amina noticed that he seemed timid. "Hi! I'm Amina, you are?" They asked. The 'cat didn't answer, and seemingly ignored them.
Amina was literally a princess. She should be getting more attention than what they've gotten in their entire life!
Amina frowned, and curled up, ready to rest.
