Tobio's eyes slowly blinked to adjust to the light of the room, it had been a long time since he had felt the feeling of waking up after fainting and as usual, it didn't feel good at all. As his eyes got used to the light Tobio began to wander his gaze and stopped at the sight of Kouka-san who was crying until her eyes were swollen.

"Kouka-san?" Damn his voice was dry as a broken car engine, well at least this time Tobio could still get the words out, last time he remembered he was in too much pain to say anything.

"Ah Tobio-kun, are you awake? How are you feeling sweetheart?" Kouka-san wiped away her tears, Tobio always felt strange when he saw how much this gentle woman loved him. His eyebrows furrowed at the sincere soft words, yep it felt strange.

"Dizzy..." He whispered softly.

"That must be it, take it easy dear, the doctor said you're just tired and it'll go away once you rest"

Tobio nodded weakly, ever since he got sick everyone never told him that the pain would just go away, it was because they all knew Tobio's illness wasn't over yet and Tobio would appreciate it much more if they told him the truth instead of empty sweet words.

"Where are we now?" The dizziness in his head made Tobio's vision unfocused so he couldn't grasp the location where he was currently lying.

"This is the school health room dear, we can't take you to the hospital without first aid and luckily the school doctor said that you're fine, just plain tired" As usual Kouka-san explained to him with a gentle tone and a short choice of words.

"I see"

"Are you feeling better already? If not let's go to the hospital for further examination" Kouka stroked Tobio's cheek, she was glad that at least the boy let her touch him as long as he wasn't in the mode of flying through the negative thoughts that terrorized his sleep at night.

"No, it's okay, I'll start school tomorrow" Tobio rejected the stifling image of the hospital room, lonely and too quiet for his own good.

"Are you sure dear? We won't force you if you object" Kouka's forehead wrinkled as Tobio shook his head slowly. This kid really didn't want to be hospitalized anymore huh.

"No, I've caused you enough trouble Kouka-san" The frown on Kouka's forehead deepened, what nonsense was this kid spouting right now?.

"Nonsense, you are as important as Shouko, Kyouya and Kiyoomi in our eyes darling, our job as adults is to keep you comfortable and safe" Is that so? Honestly, Tobio's understanding of normal adults behavior is shallower than the special pool for kids at the water park so he doesn't know how adults should act on him at all.

"I'm sorry but we'll be home in half an hour because Takami-kun has to take care of your registration administration Tobio-kun"

Tobio nodded slowly, he was a little calm that this time he didn't dirty the floor with his blood or vomit. Tobio always felt bad for the janitor who cleaned up his mess even though the middle-aged man always said that he didn't blame Tobio for it at all and always wished him the best for his recovery.

Five minutes later Kouka-san had to leave Tobio because Kyouya called her. Tobio stared flatly at the plain and boring roof of the school medical room, yep typical medical room that always made him feel cooped up.

Tobio snorted, unlucky for him because it looked like he wouldn't be able to sleep tonight, his head hadn't stopped throbbing yet and his leg muscles were starting to give signals that were not at all pleasant to feel.

Brak!

Tobio gasped in surprise, who was the moron who slid the door to the infirmary so roughly?! How uncivilized!

"Oi Gaikoku-hito! Did you die?!" Tobio caught sight of a messy, greasy patch of orange hair. (Gaikoku-hito : stranger).

"Apperently not yet!" Tobio didn't know why his mouth replied with the same shout, resulting his head throbbing again.

"I see you still kicking some ass brutely huh?" The pole boy from earlier appeared behind tangerine.

"Be nice Tsukishima, we don't want to make the patient sicker" The silver haired teenager patted his kouhai's shoulder roughly, weird, why does this one look so much like Narumi-san?.

"Ano-are you feeling better-" Not yet finished the freckles spoke suddenly a hyperactive chibi appeared.

"Hey you fell like whoosh! And bam! But Asahi-san caught you like shooo boom! The sound came like woah! Are you sure you okay?!"

"Right! You're so pale like a dead salted fish! Did you drink your water properly? Don't worry! Your senpai will be watching over you from now on!"

The shortest and the bald one among them shamelessly jumped around Tobio's bed before the brown-haired teen pulled them back to avoid bumping into the poor patient.

"Be quiet everyone! He needs his rest okay?" The short brown haired teen moved his friends away from Tobio, which was appreciated by him.

"You're the noisy one Daichi-san" The plain looking boy also appeared from outside the medical room.

"I'm trying Enno-kun"

"Stop shortening it, my name is Ennoshita, Daichi-san" The plain boy shake his head, not sure why he drag his own ass here instead of going home early to play with his dog.

"Why it always sound like 'ennoshit-a'?" The baldie randomly said as he slowly get away from Tobio's bed.

"Thats because he had enough shit about you Tanaka-san" The glasses freak answer it clearly without hesitation.

"Get your ass here Saltyshima! Senpai will teach you some lesson!" The baldie one start run to chase his kouhai, they ended up running around inside of the infirmary.

"Gah! Yamaguchi Move! Move!"

"Uwaah!" Chaos continue in that small infirmary.

"That's enough! Tanaka! Stop chasing Tsukishima!" The brownie? Daichi? Start yelling his kouhai's to stop but it came out useless.

"Oi did you hear the captain you shithead! Stop chasing around like an overgrown toddler!" Suddenly two strong arm put the two idiot down by grab their shirt collar.

"Good grief, stop embarrasing our team name everywhere you could dumbass" The grown man with a blonde spiky hair scolding his student. Tobio just knew this guy was their volleyball coach.

"Sorry coach" The two said in unison.

"I'm sorry about their childlike attitude, uhh-"

"Kageyama Tobio"

"Right, please forgive for their shitty behavior Kageyama"

"It's alright"

"..." The room suddenly filled with an awkward silence.

"So I heard you is the New student huh? Did you ever played volleyball before?" The silver who remind Tobio of Narumi-san try to loose the atmosphere.

"Yes, but I quit in eighth grade" Tobio feels like he could answer his senpai question like he replied whenever his therapist (Narumi-san) ask him a question.

"Uh whyyy? Volleyball is a fun game! Not everyone can play volleyball! Why would you throw that fun away?" The little orange slam the table next to Tobio's bed.

"Oi Hinata-"

"Because not everyone can find pleasure in there" Tobio answered flatly and definitely.

"..." Once again silence was created between them.

"Maa maa, everyone has a different opinion, we should respect it Hinata" their coach advised while patting Hinata's soft head.

"By the way have you decided which club you want to join?" One of the three most inconspicuous people among them asked Tobio.

"No, I'm planning not to join any club" That's right, after all with his trash-like physical condition, Tobio wouldn't be able to do the usual club activities.

"But that means you're breaking school rules! Is that okay?" Tobio nodded towards the freckled boy, the principal had allowed him to do anything that could support his health.

"It's.... It's a blatant favoritism! Why the hell you got such a princess treatment? It's unfair!" Once again Hinata protest to Tobio.

"What? so you suggest that you want that kind of treatment? Lame" As usual Tsukishima start spreading his salt on Hinata's fresh made jealousy rage.

"Shut up jerkyshima! It's not like I want them, It just sounds unfair!"

"So you are jealous, just admitted it shrimp"

"Like hell-"

"Stop or I will kick you guys sorry ass out right away" The two teens with huge high gape tensed at the cold hands in both their shoulder.

"We're sorry Suga-san" Both said in unison.

"Good"

"Suga?" Tobio muttered quietly but Suga still hears him anyway.

"Yes, my Name is Sugawara Koushi, did you know me Kageyama-kun?" So this is the infamous Koushi that Narumi-san had always speak to him almost everyday. How unfortunate he was at the same school with his therapist eldest son.

'No but I know your Mother' That sentence was an excellent but Tobio didn't want these people to know about him being sick and never able to fully free from medicine for the rest of his life. About his pathetic life.

"No" He replied shortly.

"Okay so-"

"Tobio-kun? Did you make some friends?" Kouka-san entered the room, it seemed that the conversation with Kyouya took more time than she thought.

"Kageyama-san-"

"No Kouka-san, they're from volleyball club, not my friends" Kageyama cut the coach greeting sharply, Kouka-san wasn't his mother and he didn't want to continue the misundertanding with these strangers.

"Is that so?" Kouka-san seem sad and Tobio felt a little uneasy to see that.

"Yes ma'am, we're from volleyball club, we came here to apologize to Kageyama-kun, because I guess these kids excited scream scare him"

"I'ts not like that, Ano-"

"Ukai Keishin"

"Yes, Ukai-san, Tobio-kun had a very weak stamina so if he exhausted himself, he will pass out immediatly" Right, that is the scenario, Tobio refused to tell other people beside the school teacher about his 'condition'.

"Ehh, but he played volleyball before! Is he just lazy-" Hinata want to shout another protest but silenced by a glamour death glare from Kouka. Seriously, this boy has to learn to read the situation.

"And?" Her voice sounded so cold and Tobio felt relieve that he never received those kind of tone from her.

"Excuse me Ukai-san, Me and my husband want to take Tobio-kun home, can you please coordinate your students? Because all their yapping distrub Tobio-kun's rest time and he needs it"

Hoo that is new for sure, the Kouka Tobio knew is a wonderful woman with very soft personality, now after seeing this new side of her made Tobio think about the old allusion 'Don't judge a book from it's cover'.

"Yes and I'm sorry ma'am"

"Please don't, it's not entirely your fault, it must been hard for you to manage bunch of teenagers in their way to adult life who can't keep their mouth shut for a second like a one year old baby that just learn to yap" Tobio stare at Kouka with glitter in his eyes, she looks so badass at this point.

The important point is, the Karasuno especially Hinata, learn to keep their mouth closed for a moment.

"We're leaving honey, Takami was ready with our car" Kouka offer her hand for Tobio to hold and helping him stand. The Karasuno team surprised with her strength, pulling up a tall and big teenager who is sick like Kageyama was a big deal even for a man like Ukai. They really take a lesson to not upset the woman at the upcoming future.

After the two blackhead get away, Hinata's head been smacked by Ukai and no one want to stop it, not when Hinata can't control his damn mouth and start poking at someone privacy.

"Hinata, everyone had their own privacy that we have to respect, when someone doesn't wanna spill something then don't poking it like it was nothing! You're not his fucking jealous auntie who want to know a damn everything about his life" Everyone laugh at the last sentence, but the point was taken by Hinata, he feels guilty and want to apologize next time he sees the boy.

The next morning Tobio got out of Takami-san's car and headed to his new school. Before entering he had to report to the teacher's room to be escorted to the class he would be attending, after all Tobio had never been here so he didn't know which class he would be attending.

After being accompanied by Takami-san to the teacher's room, Tobio finally went with his English teacher to introduce himself. The moment Tobio stepped into class 1-3, everyone's eyes were on him. Tobio's flat gaze swept over the class, hmm, the empty bench at the end was a good spot to sleep silently during class, he decided to sit there after introducing himself.

What Tobio didn't realize was that he was in the same class as Hinata, the short tangerine was staring at Tobio with his mouth wide open. Just yesterday he saw the bowl-haired teenager faint and today he was in the same class with him?!!.

"Aaaaa-You! You Again! Why you!" Hinata pointing Tobio with his index finger. Tobio stare flatly at the tangerine, so he is at the same class with that human sized tangerine. So what? Its not like Tobio care anyway.

"Hinata! Sit back!" Said their teacher angrily and Hinata sit back immediatly.

"Okay class, we had a new student today, he was under some condition before so he can't attend a normal school, that's why you guys should be nice to him and do not act rudely like a dog claiming his territory from the other dog" The laughing sound echoed in the classroom when their teacher glare at the orange boy while the boy blushed so hard.

"Please introduce yourself Kageyama-kun"

"My Name Kageyama Tobio, please take care of me" After said it the boy walk to the choosen bench and sit on it like he belong to that bench. He clearly not allowed his classmate to know him more than his name and he meant it.

His previous classmates hates him because he always so grumpy and his disappearence was not helping at all. Nobody want to do anything with him, the only people who would talk to him were his volleyball teammates and he ruined that by being an unruly asshole. He just do this bullshit for the Sakusa family, an effort for interact with other stranger was too much for him to handle.

Let him be an invisible ghost that appear transparent to other people visions.

The teacher start his lesson, Tobio didn't even put an effort as he start sleeping five minutes after the lesson start. He stay quiet and let out an "don't fucking try to breath near me" Aura so no one want to stand near him or try to start a proper conversation with him. Tobio spend his first day with sleepy silence.

When they at the last lesson, Tobio quickly pack his things and leave soon after the bell ringing without second thought, he walk out even faster than his teacher. Yesterday was quite mess but today he hopes he get home early to sleep without any drama but seriously the universe never want him to be happy after all.

"Hey You!" Tobio glanced around, looking for the figure calling him but he couldn't find it.

"Hey here! Here!"

"..." Tobio blinked before walking back as if he hadn't heard anything.

"Here damn it! Why are you acting like that Shittyshima! Don't be so arrogant about being tall!" Oh it was the wrong way of looking at the tangerine, his eyes were high up.

"Did I say something about your height?"

"Eh... Well... That's- uuh"

Tobio sent an 'oh so? That's it, bye' glance at Hinata then started to walk away.

"Hey wait! Let me talk!" Tobio doesn't hesitate to frown his forehead, okay his head start to throbing, gotta get home fast.

"Say it quick, let me see if your word worth my time or not" Tobio crossed his arm, he will wait for five second and leave if this tangerine doesn't say anything.

"Okay okay! I'm just gonna say sorry okay? Sorry.... For saying something like that" Hinata start fidgeting his fingers, he never met someone this silence before.

"Like I'm just a lazy bun?"

"It's not my intention to say those words! I'm sorry!"

"It's fine, it's not like your words fully wrong though, I'm quit because I want nothing to do with it anymore and my physical condition make it worse so yes, I'm just a lazy bum who wants to go home, bye shrimp" Tobio almost never get a proper conversation with other people at his age so he felt much freaking awkward right now, he just want to go home damn it.

"Hey hey wait! Uhh, Did you want to go with me to watch us play volleyball?" Frown in Tobio's forehead deepened, Okay this is bad, he wants to punch this midget's face so bad.

"Why should I?" His tone was harsh, he hopes Hinata would pick it and go away so he can back home.

"Uhh Because all my senpai wants you to be there?" And why? Why should these people wants him to be there?.

"No." Tobio began to walk away faster and faster, he almost run but Kouka-san tell him to not exhausted himself so he is not doing that. Tobio went away without caring about the shouting from his orange's classmate.

Gladly Tobio went home safely. He took his shoes, put in on the shoe shelf and walk in slowly. In the kitchen Tobio saw Kiyoomi frying a whole big portion katsudon while checking the pot, that means they will eat some katsudon-curry tonight. Oh yeah, the youngest in the Sakusa Family will keep Tobio's company for two days because his parents had a emergency problem with their bussiness.

"Tadaima"

"Okaeri Tobio, how the first day? Did it went well?"

"My brain try to gnaw at my very thin memory core at math lesson but generally I'm fine"

"Glad to hear that"

"..."

After the short conversation Tobio and Kiyoomi silently ate the katsudon-curry. The Sakusa's youngest always have this kind of calming aura with him everywhere he's with Tobio. Kiyoomi was so gentle with him, the same with his two older siblings. Shouko is quiet but she will be noisy and spoiled at home, Kyouya is so kind and soft but he will be all silent whenever he gets serious so Tobio feel a little awkward when that happen.

In the other hand, Kiyoomi is the definition of stoicism. He is quiet, pretty understanding to his closest people, a bit perfectionist and a clean freak. Yet the other side, he is kind of big hearted, smart, observant, soft in the inside and loved his family so dearly. Kiyoomi doesn't hesitate when it comes to his family, he's always ready to roast someone to death with his sharp tongue when he needs it.

Their relationship is like a roommates who respect each other. Kiyoomi was one of Tobio's safe place beside the other Sakusa's family member. Kiyoomi cares a lot about Tobio but he never bother to ask anything whenever he offer his hands to help Tobio.

Not when he wiped Tobio's mouth when the younger boy vomited in front of him, not when Tobio was too weak to eat with his own two hands and not when Tobio was completely silent for hours after having a nightmare. Kiyoomi was always there, his silence bringing calmness to Tobio, like Tobio really needed people like the Sakusa family to keep his mind in a safe zone.

Back to the present, Tobio finished his dinner which had a much smaller portion than Kiyoomi. The curly-haired teen needed plenty of nutrition to keep playing volleyball, so Tobio was a bit surprised to hear that his brother was one of the top five spikers in the nation right now.

Tobio thinks Kiyoomi will become an international player someday, fulfilling his hard-earned dreams, unlike Tobio's which were dashed before they started. Tobio shook his head, his dreams had been extinguished since his grandfather passed away, why was he thinking about that now? It was impossible for a cancer patient like him to become a professional player, Tobio know that, he should faced the reality.

"Are you done Tobio?" Tobio's head perks up, his blue eyes blinked twice before he nods slowly.

"Yeah, thanks for the food Kiyoomi-san, it's delicious" Kiyoomi's cooking was always delicious even he used a very healthy ingredient that usually tastes plain.

"Thank you for the compliment, now give me your plate, I will wash it" Tobio gives his plate to Kiyoomi's hand and slowly walk to the living room to watch some cartoon on TV.

Five minuets later Kiyoomi come back with a huge plastic box with a typical hospital logo on the front. Medicine time he guess. And he's right, it's the time to swallow those large pills. Sometimes Tobio had a thought that he consume a lots of drug instead of a cure because his medicine is ridiculously big.

"Here, drink your medicine and go to sleep, I'm sure your body needs rest"

"I guess so too, thanks Kiyoomi-san"

"Anytime Tobio"

After make sure Tobio chugging all of his medicine, Kiyoomi escorting the boy to his bedroom, tuck him to bed, kiss his forehead and turn the lamp off after saying goodnight. Kiyoomi really like the boy and consider him as his own little brother, he hopes he can do best for Tobio, he wants him to be happy and content after all.
