"Shu..Shub."

"Yes meri jaan."

"I was scared."

"I know my love but now you don't need to be scared I am here na hmm."

He said stroking her hair and back and holding her in his arms like a baby.

"What if something would have happened?"

"Nothing happened. I won't let anything happen."

"Who did all this?"

"Esha and Aisha."

She knew this, maybe. She closed her eyes as fresh tears flew from her eyes.

"Bas meri jaan aankhein laal ho gayi hai tumhari. And I don't like tears in your eyes. They are gone now. They will never come back in our life I promise."

"I love you Shub."

She whispered before sleep consumed her and he smiled.

"I love you too meri jaan."

He whispered and kissed her head softly before laying her down on the bed and getting up but as soon as she felt the lack of touch she woke up abruptly.

"Shh bas bas I am here."

"Where are you going? Please don't leave me."

"Accha nahi ja raha. Come sleep."

He said extending his hands laying down on the bed and she immediately clung to him. He sighed and finally let the sleep consume both of them.

The next morning both of them were woken up by the loud banging of the door and the sound of the bell ringing. Shubman got irritated and Sara left him knowing it was important.

He went to the door bare chested and opened the door only to see Arjun standing there.

Arjun's eyes widened as he looked at Shubman, his mind wandering in different directions. Did he do it with his sister? With his sister???

"Ohh hello itna mat socho kuch nahi hua hai."

Shubman brought him out of his reverie and Arjun sighed in relief.

"Woh..I.. I came here to meet Sara."

"I will call her but I am not sure if she wants to meet you yet."

Arjun nodded and got in while Shubman picked one of his shirt lying in the living room and wore it. There house was a mess right now, but was it their mistake? No.

"Sara."

Shubman whispered sitting on his knees beside the bed and stroked her cheek.

"Hmm."

She replied still lost looking at the ceiling.

"Look here baby, I don't like it when you give your attention anything else except me."

She chuckled and looked at him with love filled gaze and kept her hand on his cheek.

"I am sorry."

"Why are you saying sorry baby?"

"Meri wajah se tum is sab mai fas gaye ho. Na mai tumse milti na hume pyaar hota aur na hi tumhe Esha se milna padta."

And the moment she said this she regretted saying this cause she could see his dark eyes. Even though he was all lovey dovey to her he never liked it when she asked what if we had never met.

"Get up Sara. Your brother is outside and we need to go to the police station."

He said without any emotions and went to the washroom while she shed a few tears looking at his retreating figure. She knew she did a grave mistake but this was her fear speaking, what if instead of her they would have hurted Shubman?

Shubman came back bathing and got ready not even sparing a glance at her. She got up and hugged him from the back but he didn't say anything.

"Shub.."

"Don't make me angry Sara go and get ready. It's already very late."

And he removed her hands and walked out while Sara just kept looking at him, she knew she had hurt him.

When he came out she went in the washroom sighing. While Arjun looked at Shubman hopeful to see Sara but she was not there.

"Where is Sara?"

"She is coming."

Arjun nodded and waited. Once Sara came he got up but Sara immediately took some steps back making Arjun stop in his tracks while Shubman couldn't look at the love of his life so vulnerable, could he?

He went to her and encircled his arm around his waist giving her the warmth and comfort she needed. She looked at him hopefully but still his cold face was on.

Arjun who was probably more hurt than anything else couldn't stop but let his tears flow while Sara just could not gather the courage again to go and wipe his tears, she was afraid of getting hurt again.

"Kaisi hai tu prin.."

"I am okay. Itni chinta krne ki jarurat nahi hai."

Before he could complete his sentence she stopped him. It killed her insides to talk to her brother, her whole life like this. But what could she do? They had hurt to an extent no one could take her out of it.

"We are getting late, we should get going."

Shubman said to make the situation less akward and held Sara's hand. Soon the three found themselves at the police station and infront of Esha and Aisha who still had the handcuffs on.

The three sat infront of them and those two had a stupid smirk on their faces making Shubman glare at them.

"What were you trying to do?"

"We were trying to kill your sister so that both our ways would have cleared. She would have got her Shubman and I would have got you with this piece of shit out of our life."

Esha spoke spitting venom through her words and Shubman held Sara's hand giving her assurance. Arjun smirked and leaned back on his chair.

"You did wrong Esha. Maine socha tha mere bacche ko maar diya aur mujhe dhokha diya, you would realise your mistake isliye maine tumhare khilaaf zyada charges nahi lagaye but then you tried to harm my baby sister. And this is where you crossed your limit, you know Arjun can do anything, anything for his sister even if it means killing you with my bare hands and then going to the jail."

"Ohh toh ye sab pyaar tab kaha tha Arjun? Bhool gaye the na apni pyaari behen ko."

Esha spoke instigating Arjun and Sara while Arjun looked down in guilt but quickly gathered himself. He could not let these affect his relationship anymore.

"It's okay Sara is safe isliye tumhe mai kuch nahi krunga but soon you will be where you deserve."

He spoke sternly and she scoffed, they both were not scared of anything now since they were already caught.

"And may I ask why were you involved in this?"

Shubman spoke looking at Aisha and she just gave him a smile but did it affect him? No, ofcourse not.

"Ohh Shubman, I loved you from my childhood baby but phir bhi tumhe kabhi dikha nahi and then this bitch came into your life aur tum muzhe bhool gaye. Kitni koshish ki maine tumhe usse dur rakhne ki uss trip mai and I even succeeded but fir tumhe isse pyaar ho gaya. Toh mai kya krti usse marne ke alawa."

She spoke, they both were in their senses and yet they themselves were spitting out all the truth. This was what they needed, as Esha and Aisha were refusing to speak the truth infront of the police Shubman knew once he takes Sara infront of them they will definitely speak in their jealousy.

"Tch too bad, tumhe mai bhi nahi mila aur Sara bhi nahi mili. Ab tum dono sado mai apni zindagi jee lunga aaram se."

He whispered and taking Sara's hand he got up going out while Arjun followed them. Sara gave her verbal statement and soon they both send in the jail.

Once they came out of the station Arjun again looked at Sara who looked distressed, she couldn't believe people were ready to kill her just because she loved her brother and her boyfriend.

"Saru.."

He called and she looked at him. He was relieved, atleast she spared him a glance.

"Apne bhai ko maaf krde Sara. Tu jo bolegi woh mai sab krunga. Sab kuch, dekh maine Shubman ko accept kr liya. Tu kehti thi na bachpan mai ki bhai aapko jabtak Mera boyfriend pasand nahi aayega mai shaadi nahi krungi. Mujhe pasand hai Shubman Sara. Mai tujhse bohot pyaar krta hu Sara, please ek baar apne bhai ko maaf krde. Bas ek last chance dede aur meri khoi hui Sara mujhe lauta de. I promise aage se humesha tuzhoe trust krunga, kabhi tuzhe galat nahi bolunga. Please."

He practically begged infront of her and she hugged him making his eyes flow in tears of happiness.

"Maine aapko tabhi maaf krdiya tha Arjun par mujhe thoda time chahiye. Jab mai puri tarah ready ho jaungi I will come to meet you par abhi nahi."

She said and he hugged her back, getting his peace back after so many years. She broke the hug and gave him a small smile before sitting in the cab Shubman had booked for them.

She looked at him who was looking out of the window and sighed, she knew she had hurt him deeply and now it was her time to make him her priority, make him happy.
