Chapter 101

OOH, OOH, OOH

I'M JUST ANOTHER KIND OF GIRL

AND YOU WANNA SEE MY WORLD

SO COME RUN AWAY

YEAH, YEAH

Third person pov

Screams erupted around the two picnic tables as people scrambled to get up and away from Vlad, who rose to his full height without seeming to realize how much it was scaring people. 1-B was definitely more confused than they were terrified, but the fear in 1-A made them worried enough to clamber away as well. Several quirks spun into gear as people hopped from their seats, full of panic and unsure of what to do as the lanky creature blinked down at them with his beady eyes.

Sometimes it really felt like 1-A attracted the craziest of the crazy. Because of course, at their secluded summer camp that nobody knew the destination of beforehand, there would be a Nomu. It was just their hellish luck at work once again! It was starting to get irritating-- the constant run ins with villains despite them not being full-fledged heroes yet. They just wanted to get through their first year without anyone dying!

"It's a Nomu! Dammit! I thought this place was supposed to be a secret!" Jiro clenched her teeth as everyone huddled together, backing away from the pair of tables nervously. Lillian's brows furrowed as she stood, her eyes darting around in search of either Chad or Eri. Vlad never went anywhere alone unless it was to deliver food of some sort. Even then, Chad was usually nearby in his car. Vlad was trusted, but they were always concerned he'd be seen and taken away. After Hosu, everyone had their eyes peeled for Nomu or anything even relatively resembling them.

Vlad was relatively docile. If a police officer walked up to him and slapped cuffs on him, he'd probably just stand there. It wasn't until threatened that he acted, or until someone he chose to care about was threatened. He had a brain, and he was learning more and more everyday. That made him somewhat vulnerable in a sense. He didn't quite understand the concept of being sneaky just yet. His lack of subtly was displayed perfectly right in this very moment as he chirped at them curiously.

"Burn it already, Todoroki!" Mina squeaked in terror as the Half-and-Half boy calmly stood up, Izuku blinking dumbly before following. Hitoshi could only sit there and stare dumbly, wondering how things had gotten to this point. He was in the hero course. Neito was dead. He actually had friends, most of which actually lived with him for the most part, or had for a time at one point or another. A Nomu was standing here in front of him, holding a two boxes of Pizza and staring at him like a deformed dog waiting for praise. Bakugo was for once silent, his lips pressed firmly pressed together, and a defeated look in his eyes as he simply sat.

Now don't get things wrong here. Bakugo didn't have anything against Vlad. He was just... well, he was a Nomu, and those weren't really socially acceptable in most situations. This was a flawless example of one of said situations. Vlad didn't need to be here. Bakugo had long since accepted that having Lillian in his life would mean Vlad was in his life. Even without Lillian, Bakugo had still interned with Chad. The Nomu was pretty much just a weird pet bat-parrot with arms and legs that really liked wearing khaki shorts and dumb Hawaiian shirts anyway, so it's not like he was the worst or anything. Just extremely weird and... definitely not supposed to be here. Bakugo wasn't sure why he bothered being surprised anymore.

"D-Don't worry, guys." Izuku finally got out after he got over his initial surprise. "He won't hurt you! It's just Vlad!"

"What do you mean 'It's just Vlad'?! It's a Nomu!" Kaminari sputtered. The few people around him scooted away as his skin began to spark. Lillian walked around the side of the table and over to him, intent on getting some pizza to go along with her curry. Not the best combination, but definitely not the worst either.

1-A and 1-B were teeming with unease as some of their strongest peers simply approached the creature. Lillian, who'd been right in the thick of the USJ attack. She'd seen what had happened to Mr. Aizawa, and for a while, she really hadn't been okay! But here she was, walking right up to it with a confused expression as though it wasn't about to kill her. Momo shifted uneasily, pulling a weapon out of her arm just in case. Dark Shadow had also seemed out, and was hovering defensively behind Tokoyami. Kirishima's arms had hardened, and TetsuTetsu had turned almost completely to metal as the tension thickened. Even Kendo, who was usually pretty level headed, couldn't stop her hands from expanding just a tad.

"Are you guys for real? You've got to be insane!" Ojiro's tail swayed anxiously. "Someone needs to do something! Where are the teachers?"

Lillian winced slightly, unsure of what to say. Her eyes met Bakugo's as he stared. The teenager looked vexed. Lillian had to wonder how Vlad had found them in the first place. Chad had assured them that he wouldn't be making any appearances unless strictly necessary, and it was the same for Vlad and Eri. They'd be staying behind for the week, keeping and eye on Neito and offering him their company as he regained himself in the hospital. They'd also be helping out Mihoko, who had apparently bought some sort of old hotel and was renovating it into... well, they really weren't sure what. They had learned not to ask questions.

"No, he's right. It's just Vlad bringing us pizza." Hitoshi sighed, shaking his head. His peers gaped at him in disbelief, and looked even more terrified as Lillian started to do a rather complex handshake with the creature. Vlad wasn't the best at talking, but he wasn't an idiot. He was great at memorizing things. Their handshake was full with slaps, fist bumps, finger explosions, and such of the like.

"Yeah, it's... he's fine, you shits. He's on our side." Bakugo finally shook his head. 1-A looked mortified at his admittance, though several relaxed marginally at the news that they weren't about to get their heads ripped off their shoulders. It's not as though Vlad had done anything threatening, unless you counted screaming the word 'avocado' at the top of your lungs as a warning of some sort.

"Man, you too, Bakugo?!" Sero mourned. This wasn't right. That was a Nomu. The enemy! There was no possible way they could actually trust that thing, right? Even Todoroki didn't seem to mind it, taking one of the pizza boxes from it with hungry eyes. Vlad let out a small squawk that had everyone backing up even further, wondering if it was possible that their classmates were having a lapse into insanity. It wasn't like Lillian to not panic, or like Izuku. He and Todoroki had also been two people who'd seen the Nomu up close and even fought directly with it, and Bakugo had been right up there with them! Hitoshi sort of made sense-- he was weird enough for it. But the others?

"What's going on out here?" A voice snapped. The startled crowd parted like the red sea, revealing an out-of-breath Iida and a very irritated Aizawa. Vlad King was right there with him, his arms crossed over his chest in a disappointed manner that made 1-B wince considerably. They had no idea what was going on! Hopefully they wouldn't get in trouble. Vlad King was disappointed enough in their progress in contrast to their hero course counterpart's as it was.

Lillian, holding a slice of pizza, froze as she turned to look at her father with wide eyes. Shoto and Izuku were the same, the former holding the box of pizza open, and the latter already with a piece of cheese in his mouth. Aizawa's dark expression dropped immediately into something more exasperated, and his grip on his capture weapon slackened minimally. Of course. This wasn't the League of Villains invading-- it was just Vlad showing up out of fucking nowhere, as usual! And with food. Always with food. At least the thing hadn't brought soda. It exploded every time and made a huge mess, and Aizawa wasn't a fan. Lillian's ceiling still had cranberry-colored stains on it! Still!

"...You never said no Vlad?" Hitoshi tried. Aizawa glowered, and his mouth snapped shut. 1-A and 1-B both backed up further as the two teachers approached. Vlad King was tense, muscles bunched and at the ready as he waited to see what his fellow teacher would do. He had never personally encountered a Nomu, and though it was tall and winged, it didn't appear all that threatening as it held a box of pizza out for the teenagers surrounding it. Said teens didn't appear to be all that worried, which only added to it all.

"Which one of you called him?" Aizawa demanded, eyes roving over the guilty group in search of the culprit. Bakugo was the only one who didn't look like he'd done something, having gone back to dousing his curry in Paprika in a pissy manner. He didn't sign up for this bullshit; though, he had a feeling he'd have to deal with it if he really wanted things to work with Lillian. And he definitely wanted that shit to work. You know what? no. It wouldn't just work out. It would flourish. Absolutely blossom. Their love life wouldn't just be a single flower, but a whole mother fucking bouquet

"I-I didn't." Lillian said after a moment of silence, taking a quick bite of her pizza when her father's gaze flitted to her. Vlad King looked immensely lost now, clearly having expected something much different.

"Wasn't me." Hitoshi shrugged.

"I broke my phone." Shoto informed with a shrug.

"He broke mine too." Izuku said in a small voice. Aizawa glared for a moment longer before wordlessly turning to look down at Bakugo. The explosive teen didn't notice at first. At least, not until everyone started to stare. Even Vlad was looking at him expectantly. That was saying something considering how short his attention span tended to be. They were honestly lucky he hadn't flipped the table yet out of sheer boredom alone. There was no television out here, which meant minimal entertainment for his stimulation-hungry mind. The rages he went through when he couldn't access The Office due to Netflix being down were truly something to behold.

"Why the fuck are you all looking at me? I didn't call the little shit." Bakugo snapped when he finally realized. Lillian shrugged. That sounded about accurate. Aizawa felt his eye twitch. Just what the hell was up with this year's class? His long lost daughter was in it, and half were gay. Bakugo was a menace. A true gremlin of a child. Aizawa was surprised Izuku was still alive considering how many bones he seemed to break, and Shoto's daddy issues ran deeper than the grand canyon. He didn't even want to think about Kaminari's weird fear of his daughter, which seemed to fluctuate in its severity depending on Lillian's mood alone.

"Alright, then where did he come from?" Aizawa's eyes narrowed. Vlad blinked. Yeah, definitely not what he'd expected. He'd expected some shouting, cursing-- maybe a bit of blood if a scuffle went down. Instead it was just Eraserhead looking scarily similar to how a disappointed parent may appear.

"Apples." The creature answering croakily. Several people shrieked, but they were quickly shushed by the calmer classmates. The ones who were actually interested in what was happening, and not just scared out of their minds. Vlad King tensed considerably, and Aizawa looked towards Lillian and Hitoshi expectantly. They were the most fluent in 'Vlad'. Aizawa didn't know how. He wasn't sure he wanted to.

"The woods." Hitoshi said simply.

"Okay," Aizawa grit his teeth, "why?"

"Eggs aye carpet double knife." Vlad explained, cocking his head. Lillian's eyes went wide, and Shoto choked on his pizza with clear alarm painted across his face. Hitoshi's gaze whipped to the trees, his shoulders raising slightly as his eyes searched through the darkness beyond the towering trunks. Aizawa's brows shot up, and Izuku looked a bit concerned, like he'd caught some of it, but not all. Bakugo just looked downright lost, lowering his fork onto his plate with a frown on his face.

Lillian felt as though her heart rate had somehow managed to both slow down and speed up at the same time, her head filling with cotton. She was nowhere as good as Chad or Eri when speaking with Vlad, but she was almost positive she'd heard that correctly. Had she? By the looks Hitoshi and Shoto were both sporting, she had a sinking feeling she definitely had. As in, they were totally fucked. What did they do now? Where was Vlad? If Vlad was here, Chad was around, and that meant the man probably had some sort of plan in mind.

"Well, what did he say?" Vlad King asked gruffly. Lillian's attention snapped back to her teachers, as though she'd forgotten they were even there.

"Villains are coming to attack." Lillian blurted out, her eyes wide. Aizawa tensed considerably, as did Vlad King. Before anyone could get a word in, it was already happening. Vlad managed to get an arm around Shoto and Hitoshi just as warp gates opened beneath them and several of their peers, sending them screaming and plummeting down. Aizawa felt horror overtake him as his daughter's terrified gaze met his own just before she too fell, Bakugo diving after her with an enraged yell. His mouth opened wordlessly, his eyes wide as several of his students were transported god know's where.

Ahead of them, the woods lit up blue.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For the record, Dabi in no way agreed to this plan. He wasn't here for it in the slightest. Chad had told him it was safest if he went along with the League's plans to attack the summer camp, to which the scarred man had called bullshit. This was a horrible idea! Just watching his blue flames overtake the trees in the area-- blocking anyone from entering the part of the forest they were dropping students in-- made him sick to his stomach!
He was supposed to go along with it. Stay in the fray for as long as he could, and not reveal himself as being on the opposite side unless it was desperately needed. The whole thing was idiotic, and he wasn't sure why he'd agreed to it. Going to the authorities would have been better. Hell, Chad had tried to pull some strings to get the whole camp cancelled, but by then it had been too late. So here he was, stuck in this dusty old forest leading a pack of goons he wanted nothing to do with.
The weirdo with the multiple personality disorder had made some sort of deranged clone of him, and Dabi had no idea where the fuck it had gone off to. Only that it was batshit, and seemed genuine in its intent to harm the people here. It was apparently going after Eraserhead and the others who hadn't been warped, so he could only hope they'd figure out how to get rid of it fast. Having a copy of himself running about without him able to control it made him more uncomfortable than he cared to admit. Not to mention it could also use his quirk. It would last long against a few sturdy blows, nor were the flames as hot, but they'd still burn like a bitch.
The woods were almost completely dark aside from his blue inferno. Briefly, he thought he saw Izuku Midoriya dart by, encased in green lightning. His gaze jerked in the direction he'd seen the flash of emerald, the sickening feeling in the pit of his stomach only getting worse when he realized the teenager was heading towards where Muscular was stationed. Learning the League had broken serial killers out of jail just to assist made something inside him churn angrily. They were attacking kids! He could understand Stain to an extent, though not all the heroes he killed deserved it, but this was too much. What was the point of this? He thought they wanted to kill All Might, but now he wasn't so sure. Chad hadn't known their motive either.
He was here as damage control while Chad tried to rally the heroes and get them down here as fast as possible. Dabi's job was to ensure nobody died, and try to stop any kidnappings they had planned. He had no idea who Shigaraki was targeting. Mr. Compress was the only one with that information, along with a few more members of the Vanguard. He'd tried to goad it out of them, but it was to no avail. He was just as clueless as Chad was in this area, and that... it was dangerous.
A bit further away, Lillian found herself landing hard on a patch of damp grass. Bakugo slammed down onto his back not inches from her, rolling out of the way just in time to miss being hit by a student from 1-B. Curses flew from his mouth unbidden as he pushed himself to his knees. This was really fucking bad. None of them had expected Kurogiri to pop up like that. The abrupt appearance of so many portals had been a slap to the face, and a bold reminder that the enemies they were facing had planned this all. This time around, the explosive blond had a feeling the villains in these woods were no amateurs.
Lillian sat up fast, wincing as the twinge her left arm gave. It wasn't broken, but she'd definitely landed on it weird. There was an unfamiliar stench in the air that immediately struck her as odd and made her already racing heart skip a few unsteady beats. Cleanup on aisle number Holy-Shit-We're-Gonna-Die. This was ridiculous. Could they have no off-campus activities? Internships had gone well enough. Oh, wait, they actually hadn't. Iida had almost gotten himself straight up murdered, and Izuku and Shoto were in that same boat. Chad had shot out the knee caps of a serial killer.
"Freckles, are you alright?" Bakugo kept his voice low as he stood up, moving to help the girl get back to her feet. The 1-B student had hit his head coming down, and was dizzily trying to push himself into an upright position. His hair was a tan brown color, his eyes reminding Lillian of a frog's in a way. She blinked slightly, shaking her head to try and clear her shock somewhat as she was helped to her feet. This wasn't good. It was dark, which meant minimal visibility. Freezing entire scenes before her would be tougher, but at least she could still do people so long as she had a glimpse.
"I-I'm alright. I think I hurt m-my arm, but it's not broken." Lillian winced slightly, eyes shifting to the 1-B boy. Neito had mentioned him before, having stolen his quirk a few times for pranks. Kosei Tsuburaba. He could create solid air, which proved to be useful for defense and mobility. Neito had made invisible stairs before using it. "Are you okay? T-Tsuburaba, right?"
The boy blinked languidly at her, clearly very out of it. Bakugo grit his teeth irritably. Now was far from the time for this. They couldn't keep sitting around like chickens waiting for slaughter! Lillian was scared, trembling slightly as she tugging Kosei to his feet the best she could. He stumbled forward, nearly bowling them both over in the process. Bakugo moved to steady Lillian, not really caring what happened to concussion boy over here. Lillian shook out her hands considerably as the blonde begrudgingly took over holding the brunette up anyway. Caring fucking sucked, but at least it was someone worth caring for. And no, he didn't mean the brain damaged fuck. He obviously meant Freckles.
"He's useless right now, but I guess we can't exactly leave the shithead here." Bakugo grunted. Lillian took a few deep breaths and nodded. It was alright. She was alright. Bakugo was here with her, and she could freeze things in the blink of an eye. Even throw Bakugo's explosions if the need arose. They just had to find their way back to camp, and they'd be okay.
"R-Right. If I freeze him, he'll... h-he'll feel like a cardboard cut out, almost." Lillian finally managed to look up, her cool blue eyes meeting his fiery crimson. He was gazing at her intently. Maybe once it would have made her unease worse, but now she couldn't help but feel somewhat comforted by its intensity. "We'll be able to carry him without him weighing much."
Lillian did her best to curb her jitters. Now wasn't the time to panic. There'd be plenty of time to do that later. She could text Neito using an assortment of cursed imagines and various collections of jumbled letters to help convey how absolutely terrifying this whole thing was. But until then, she needed to buck the hell up and put on her big-girl pants. If she dies young, bury her in satin and play Old Town Road at her funeral while allowing her corpse to be carried in a steampunk carriage pulled by certified Texas rednecks on chestnut horses with little bandanas on.
"Help me get him on my back first, then you can freeze him like that. Shit'll be easier that way." Bakugo grunted, jerking his head in agreement. Lillian nodded back grimly, hoping everyone else was okay. Vlad had managed to get a hold of Shoto and Hitoshi if she was remembering things correctly before she fell. Lillian could only hope her father was remaining calm. The look on his face before she was sucked into one of Kurogiri's warp gates would surely haunt her for the rest of her life. Never had she seen such shocked terror on her father's face. She hoped she never would have to again, after this.
They maneuvered Kosei onto Bakugo's back, Lillian leaning in close and making a telescope with her hand as to not accidentally freeze her explosive friend as well. Bakugo, who was normally brash, loud, and full of vulgarity, remained relatively calm and talked in a steady voice while still managing to maintain his irritated persona. The medium he'd chosen to take on was comforting, and Lillian was sure she would have panicked without him. A part of her wanted to berate him for needlessly diving in after her. The other wanted to hug him and cry until she passed out and/or died. He was too good of a friend to her, no matter what anyone else said about his personality.
"Alright. Let's get this bread." Lillian murmured, partially to herself, but mostly to Bakugo. The boy snorted.
"What if I want a damn gluten free diet?" He asked quietly back as they began to head in the general direction they thought the campsite may be. The flames were primarily in that direction, and Bakugo thought for sure he'd seen them fly up right before he'd jumped head first in after Lillian. He was glad he did, too, or else she'd have been stuck by herself with this fucking loser. The thought of her getting hurt made his throat tighten and his rage boil to an all time high.
"Then we'll get some gluten free bread, you ass." Lillian smiled shakily at him, afraid to raise her voice. They were obviously under attack. It was almost undoubtedly the League of Villains, unless Kurogiri was broadening his horizons. Lillian had no idea how many people they'd brought along this time. She hadn't seen dozens upon dozens of villains parading out of the woods before she'd gone down, and she was sure Ragdoll's quirk would have picked up on so many presences anyway. This group was probably smaller, and more controlled. That implied they were far more dangerous.
Bakugo kept glancing at Lillian was they walked on as silently as they could. She seemed to have calmed herself down considerably, though an anxious air still rested around her. That was to be expected. She was still doing damn well, her eyes sharp and vigilant. At the beginning of the year, she would have freaked. The freckled girl had come a long way, and he was oddly proud of that fact, even if he hadn't exactly been there with her every single step of the way. He would be, from here on out. They'd both get out of this, and then they'd go on a fucking date. Yeah. He'd ask her on an actual, certified, real, legitimate date. Just you fucking watch.
The woods were dense and eerily cold, their deep and controlled breathing accompanying the crunch of dried leaves beneath their feet. They kept their whispering to a minimum, their ears open and their eyes never ceasing in their searching. Lillian was ready to throw down. She gave herself a mental pep talk as they walked. She could handle this utter bullshit. She'd faced villains before, and she'd damn well do it again if it's what was needed. It would be fine. If she could stand in front of hundreds at a Present Mic concert and rap along to Hamilton, she could freeze a bastard or two. She'd frozen people at the USJ. She'd frozen Endeavor, and hadn't died. This, she could do.
Bakugo too was slowly ramping himself up, though maybe that was due to his ever-growing agitation. He could hear things, just barely, echoing in the distance. Shouting, fighting-- whatever you wanted to call the sounds of a battle. Lillian could hear them too if that was anything to go off of. They were currently trailing in the direction from which they'd heard a blood curdling scream, their hearts racing as they stuck side to side, as close as they could get without accidentally tripping one another. Whoever it was had probably been one of their classmates. Lillian could only hope they weren't dead. If they were hurt, they had to help.
"Shit." Bakugo hissed lightly, coming to a full stop. Lillian did the same, her eyes going wide. In front of them was a figure dressed all in black, down on their knees. And lying on the ground in front of whoever they were was... was most definitely a severed hand. Lillian swallowed the bile threatening to bubble up, her eyes the size of dinner plates and utterly horrified. Bakugo was tense beside her, scooting so he was a bit in front of her as the individual shifted. Were they in a straight jacket?
"So pretty." They hissed out, their voice gravely. "No, have to work. Can't."
They sounded almost pained as they said it, beginning to stand. Lillian unintentionally held her breath, sweat pouring down her face and soaking at her shirt. Bakugo was looked several shades paler than usual, his hand reaching out and grabbing hers. Lillian held him in a death grip, not caring how sweaty his palm was, because hers was worse. Neither took their eyes off the figure before them, far too afraid to even blink.
"But it's so delicious. Beautiful flesh. Don't tempt me." The man growled. Lillian felt her blood run cold as they turned to face them, the only part of them visible being their open mouth. "I have a job to do."
They didn't have permission to fight or use their quirks. Though this man was clearly insane and probably a cannibal if what he was saying was any indication, there was a reason he was here. That meant he was probably powerful. And if he was powerful, then that meant freezing him could have some major repercussions. She was already tired from training all day-- not to mention the fact that Kosei would be unfrozen and weigh down Bakugo if she did this.
As the man began to run at them, Lillian found herself blinking him into stillness anyway.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hitoshi had a pretty high pain threshold, but he couldn't stop the stuttering gasps that continued to escape him as tears slid down his cheeks. Vlad held him securely in his arms as they ran through the woods, Shoto's flaming hand outstretched to provide some light. He held the bleeding stump where his left hand had once been to his chest tightly, the pained sobs he was trying hard to stifle being the only sound aside from their heavy breathing. Shoto was near tears too as they rushed ahead, his mind racing and heart aching for his dear friend. It had all been so sudden. The speed at which had it happened made it that much more terrifying.

"Just keep pressure on it. We'll be back at camp soon." Shoto panted out as they hopped over a toppled tree. They'd fallen right into the grasp of a man in a straight jacket, whose teeth had shot out sharply and bent at horribly unnatural angles to attack. It had all happened so, so, so fast. They'd landed hard, both of them rolling from Vlad's grasp. It had taken only seconds of them being there before Hitoshi was screaming. It had been short, loud, and the most horrifying thing Shoto had heard since the day he'd gotten scalding water dumped on his face.

Hitoshi had passed out, and they'd taken off running per Shoto's frantic shouts. Vlad had scooped the bleeding teenager up. Only Hitoshi hadn't stayed unconscious as the half-and-half teen had hoped. He was now back awake, shaking like a leaf in a hurricane and drenched in a cold sweat as his teeth chattered together. He was going into shock, holding Shoto's shirt against the stump as tightly as he could manage. He'd vomited from the pain a few times, but still managed to keep his eyes wide open and alert as they went along.

"It'll be okay. We'll be okay." Shoto breathed as they went, saying it more to himself than to Hitoshi. Tears of his own stung at his eyes, but he blinked them back stubbornly and urged his body to keep moving. Hitoshi had to be okay. Hitoshi had been one of the people to take him in. To be his friend, and show him how apps worked, and show him memes, and introduce him to Disney. He was one of the reasons he and Izuku were together now, and his family had done so, so much for his. He had contributed greatly to Shoto's happiness. Hitoshi had saved Shoto, and now, Shoto was going to try his damn best to do the same.

"Sh-Sh-Shit." Hitoshi stuttered out, more bile threatening to rise up his throat. "This a-a-ain't it ch-chief."

A wet, broken laugh escaped Shoto as they went.

"Definitely not, Hitoshi." He managed to choke as they continued to run, his flames causing him to sweat harder. He didn't care. "This isn't free r-real estate, am I right?"

Shoto thought he heard Hitoshi wheeze out a laugh, but it was lost again in his tears and sharp breaths full of pain. Shoto blinked some more, his own breaths coming out choppy. He couldn't panic. They'd be okay. It would be fine. They'd all be just fine. He just had to remain calm, and get Hitoshi the help he needed. He had faith that Izuku and Lillian could handle themselves, along with their other classmates. He believed in them. He had to, for his sake, and for Hitoshi's.
