012 | meeting two others

her eyes held a million stories

EVER SINCE THE ANNOUNCEMENT of the U.A. sports festival, Serena had been training her ass off. She was going to win the festival, even if she had to defeat her friends. At the end of the day, the blue-haired beauty was fully prepared to become number one. However, Serena forbade herself from using her time quirk. She couldn't risk any other villains finding out about her power. She made a silly mistake of showing it to that hand freak and his goons, and it was going to cost her. Serena knew without a doubt that she now had a target on her back, and like hell was she going to let others find out.

Currently, the blue-haired girl was in a large clearing she stumbled upon a week ago. She dubbed it her training ground. She was working on her ice quirk, focusing on enhancing the strength and temperature of it. All Might had given her a book he found that had lots of teachings regarding the use of an ice quirk. Serena was currently sitting on the ground with her legs crossed, her eyes shut and her mind at peace. The book the number one hero gave her was open in front of her, the words already processed into her brain after just a glance.

She placed her hands on the ground, her hair glowing as she activated her quirk, and just like that, the whole area was covered in ice. However, instead of leaving it, Serena slowly focused on the ice's temperature. Inhaling deeply, she activated her quirk once again, gradually increasing the temperature of the ice. She grinned gleefully as it began to melt.

"I did it!" she cheered, her eyes shining brightly. She continued to practice controlling the temperature, going wild with her quirk. It was only when the sun started to lower itself that Serena decided she was done for the day. She packed up her stuff and left, walking back to her house and enjoying the cool breeze that swept past her.

The blue-haired beauty was walking past an alley when she heard a distressed cry. Her hero instincts kicked in, and she took a sharp turn, walking through the alleyway with her quirk slowly activating. Her eyes laid upon three intoxicated men surrounding a scared brown-haired boy, who pressed himself against the wall. The older males were picking on the smaller one, teasing and mocking him. Serena felt her eyes twitch, angered at the sight before her. It reminded her of when Midoriya used to get picked on.

When the leader of the three raised his hand, Serena activated her quirk, freezing it. The guys all gasped. The leader clutched his arm to his chest, groaning at the freezing temperature.

"Didn't your parents ever tell you to pick on someone your own size?" she mocked as she showed herself to the group. Her blue hair shone radiantly in the dimly lit alley, scaring the older men. She froze the three of them, her ice striking and engulfing them painfully.

They groaned out in pain, trying to get out of the ice, but their actions were futile. They wouldn't be able to escape. "Are you okay?" Serena asked the young boy who gulped slowly. "Did they hurt you or anything?" he shook his head. She smiled cordially at the boy, walking over to him and helping him up. "Run along now. I'll teach these guys a lesson."

The young boy licked his chapped lips, nodding his head. He picked up his stuff from the ground and quickly hurried out of the alleyway, glancing back at his hero. He would never forget her stunning blue hair and hypnotising icy eyes.

The teenager looked back at the three males. A wicked grin spread across her lips. "Now, I think a punishment is due." Serena clenched her hands, watching as they yelled out in pain as the ice began to crush them. "If there's one thing I hate," she started, her eyes narrowing in on the taller males that trembled in her ice, aware of the power that she possessed. They could feel it ooze off of her. "It's bullies."

"P-please, let u-us go!" the one on the left pleaded. "W-we won't e-ever do i-it again!" the others agreed, nodding their head vigorously.

"Promises are worthless if they're not kept," she hummed, staring at them for another second before releasing them from her poisonous ice. "Now go." Serena watched as they quickly ran away with their tails between their legs, afraid to even look up at her. "Idiots," she muttered, running a hand through her hair. She hated people like them. People that would always mock those that were below them yet fear those that were above them.

"I'm surprised you didn't finish them off," an unfamiliar voice spoke, shocking Serena who thought that she was alone. She quickly regained her composure, glancing in the direction where the sound came from. She watched as a dark-haired male stepped out, her eyes immediately drawn to the patches of gnarled, wrinkled, purple skin that covered much of his lower face and neck, all the way down past his collarbone, below his eyes and on his arms and legs. They appeared to be attached to the rest of his skin by multiple, crude surgical staples or hoop piercings, making it impossible for Serena to tell if the scars were accidental or self-inflicted.

"And you are?" she asked, facing him with an emotionless expression on her face.

The strikingly handsome male smirked.

"Dabi," he answered, walking forward until he stood just an inch away from the blue-haired girl. Serena remained unfazed, not at all intimidated by the scarred male in front of her. "So, tell me," he said, pushing her chin up with a finger, their eyes locking and sending shivers down both their backs. "Why didn't you finish them off?"

Serena's frosty eyes rested on Dabi's, neither moving. Dabi held her gaze, not wanting to back down and show that he was the weaker one of the two. Those icy eyes bore straight into his eyes, unwavering. The blue in them appeared to glow a little. "I don't need to justify my actions to you," she responded, stepping away from him. "But if you must know, I let them go because I know they won't do it again."

Dabi hummed, taking a step forward. "And what if they do?"

Serena shrugged, taking another step back, not liking how close they were. "I'll throw them in jail for harassment."

"You planning on being a hero?" Dabi asked, taking another step forward and watching as she took another back. He knew she wasn't afraid of him; he could see it in her eyes that she was just uncomfortable with close proximity. He wanted to see her squirm under him. Dabi searched her blue irises, finding some almost invisible light speckles in them besides that black ever-growing hole in their middle. Those speckles were strange, hypnotic almost. They had some shade to them, but he couldn't tell if they were was blue or green. Either way, it made something in his chest flare without any smoke.

It was a pleasant feeling, one that made him want to take her back home and claim her as his.

But he couldn't.

"I plan on being number one," she remarked casually, eyes widening slightly when she felt her back being pressed against the wall. Dabi smirked, breaking out of his possessive chain of thoughts and placed his hands on the wall beside her head.

"And what if I told you I'm a villain?" Serena's eyes widened, surprised that the male caging her against the wall would bluntly tell her his status in this good or bad society they live in.

"Oh? What's this?" Hearing another voice, both Serena and Dabi looked to the side, watching as a blonde entered the alley, his large crimson wings drawing the attention of both the girl and boy.

Hawks raised his head, his eyes locking with the girl's, who looked slightly disinterested. But there was something about those icy blue eyes that had him hooked, drawing him closer as he stared into them longer. "Dabi," he addressed the taller male. "What have we said about tormenting innocent civilians?" Dabi let out a 'tch' sound before stepping back, stuffing his hands into his pockets.

Serena rose a brow.

"You two know each other?" she asked, still leaning against the wall.

"Know him?" Hawks grinned, walking forward and slinging his arm over Dabi's shoulder. "He's my boyfriend," Serena looked taken back by his announcement.

"A hero and a villain?" A small smirk took over her features. "Who would've thought?" she chuckled, watching as Hawks pulled the dark-haired male closer, the latter blushing at the action while looking away in an attempt to remain his aloof expression. Dabi reminded her of Shoto, both in appearance and their personality — at least when Dabi looked away and pretended not to like the attention he was receiving from his boyfriend. But there was something very similar between the dark-haired male in front of her and the dual-coloured male in her class. However, Serena was not going to pry.

Time would reveal all.

"Say," started Hawks as he glanced back at the girl, properly looking her up and down. "Are you related to the retired now un-retired hero Blizzard?" Serena rose a brow, crossing her arms over her chest.

"What does it matter to you?" Hawks' grin widened at her answer. His assumption was correct.

"So, it is you! You're the girl that froze time at such a young age and took down some of the most wanted criminals!" Dabi rose a brow at the information. The girl in front of them was obviously powerful with her ice quirk, but a time quirk? A smirk slowly spread across Dabi's face. She would make a fantastic villain if he got her on his side. But, of course, that would take some time. He was already having a few problems bringing Hawks over to his side, but he knew that with just the right amount of push, he could get both of them to work with him.

Serena stared at the males that stood in front of her. She glanced down to the watch on her wrist. "As lovely as this..." she paused, struggling to find the word for their meeting. "encounter is, I've got to head home." Serena pushed herself off the wall, walking past them, only for a hand to latch onto her arm and yank her back. She collided into one of their chests, the responsible male holding her close to him and judging by the rough texture of his arms, Serena knew this was Dabi.

"We can't leave a young lady such as yourself alone on a dark night like this," Hawks said, bending his knees so he could be at her eye-level, a sly smirk on his lips as his eyes darkened, looking her up and down, taking in her features.

"Exactly," agreed Dabi. "Who knows what disgusting creatures lurk out there?" he pulled her closer to his body. "We've got to protect you from them," he lowered his mouth to her ear, softly blowing on it. Serena shivered, her body gradually heating up at the feeling of his chiselled abs being pressed against her back while his muscular arms held her tight, not allowing any room for movement.

Serena rolled her eyes, stuffing all her raging hormones into a chest, locking it and kicking it away. She didn't like the feeling of being dominated by men she barely knew, even if she found them hella attractive. Her own smirk spread across her lips, and she leaned closer to Hawks, their faces only an inch apart.

"Believe me, love," she whispered huskily, her voice lowering an octave and her tone holding a sound that made both Hawks and Dabi freeze while something in their pants stirred at the sound. "I don't need protecting."

With that, she activated her quirk, freezing time all around her. She wiggled out of his grip, pushing his arms away from her and stepping out of his hold. She unfroze time and walked out of the alleyway, not bothering to glance back at the couple that stared at her with lust shining blazingly in their eyes.

"Damn," Hawks muttered, biting down on his lip as he watched her walk away, eyes trained on the mesmeric sway of her hips. The blonde turned towards the male, a cheeky sly gleam in his eyes. "I like her," he said. Dabi chuckled and brought the male into his embrace.

"Me too, birdy. Me too."

Hawks felt his eye twitch. "WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT YOU CALLING ME THAT?!"

Serena walked home with a small smile tugging the edge of her lips. Something about the two unlocked a hidden burning desire inside of her. There was something about them that had her craving more and more. Her mind was wild with her deepest, darkest fantasies of the two.

"I'm home!" she called when she opened the door, shaking those thoughts away. Serena dropped her bags by the door, slipping off her shoes and placing them neatly on the shoe rack she bought after not liking how her dad left his shoes lying around everywhere.

She heard shuffling in the living room, telling her that there was more than one person here. Serena's brow furrowed. Her father didn't tell her that someone was coming to the house, which meant only two things. One: he forgot to tell her or two: someone was here uninvited. It was most likely the second one.

Serena quickly formed an ice sword in her hand, leaning against the wall of the room's opening. Upon hearing multiple pairs of footsteps walk over, Serena quickly acted and swung her blade, immediately pausing in her actions when she locked eyes with her homeroom teacher. The sword pressed against his neck lightly, drawing no blood, luckily.

"Mr Aiawa?" she questioned, glancing back at her red-faced father, who's clothing was all messed up, including the male in front of her. Serena rose a brow before she dropped her hand, the sword vanishing as well. "What are you doing here?" she asked, although the blue-haired child had a pretty good answer forming in her head. By the state of their clothes, the red hues on their faces, and their bright eyes, Serena deduced that they were making out. She could also see both their lips bruising very faintly.

"He came to visit me," answered her father, who smiled sheepishly at his daughter while rubbing his neck.

Serena hummed, nodding at her teacher before brushing past him and her father, heading to the kitchen. She could hear Aizawa and Rin say their farewells, even picking up on the tiny flustered whine that left her dad's lips. The blue-haired girl felt happiness bloom for her father. She was glad he found someone that could support him the way she couldn't. Serena decided that she'd let her father tell her about his relationship with her teacher in due time, not wanting to embarrass him or put him on the spot.

"So, how was training?" Rin started, hoping that his daughter wouldn't question what she saw. Serena shrugged, grabbing the bowl of grapes from the fridge and popping them into her mouth one by one.

"It was alright. I finally managed to control the temperature of my ice!" she triumphed, her eyes shining bright with pride. Rin gasped in happiness.

"Show me!" Serena chuckled. Her father always managed to be more excited than she was. The blue-haired girl gripped the grape, activating her quirk and freezing it. Her dad moved closer, wanting to see better. She then laid it in her palm and concentrated solely on the grape. Slowly it began to melt as she increased the temperature of her ice. "That was amazing, Serena!" he praised, wrapping her into a hug. "Maybe a few more years and then you can actually defeat your old man," he teased, poking her cheek.

Serena huffed, freezing his finger just as it made contact with her skin. Rin just laughed, using his own quirk to unfreeze the ice. "Now go to bed," he ordered, pushing her up the stairs. "You've got to wake up early and train with moi tomorrow!" Serena shook her head at her father's actions and entered her room. She quickly got ready for bed, ignoring everything around her.

Serena needed to sleep and regain her energy. She knew that tomorrow was going to be a hard training lesson. Her dad never went easy on his little girl. He wanted her to best him and the only way he could do that was by defeating her numerous times until she finally got the upper hand and knocked him down. Rin knew that when that day comes, his daughter would start her life as an independent person. She would no longer need his help. And, even though it ached his heart, he couldn't wait to see his daughter grow up to be the hero he and his late wife dreamt of her to be.

Rin finished whatever he was doing downstairs and quickly came to his room. He got ready for bed and sat in it, reaching over to grab a picture of him, Sakura, and Serena as a baby. Serena was sitting on his shoulders while Sakura held the camera up, taking a selfie of all three of them. He clutched it to his heart.

'She's going to be number one, Sakura. Just you wait,' he thought, placing down the frame and curling up in his bed, missing the company of his best friend.

A woman with long blue hair stood at the edge of his bed, softly stroking her fingers over Rin's face, brushing away a few strands of his wild brown hair. She walked over to the other room, a smile gracing her angelic features as she spotted the love of her life curled up on her bed, her face displaying an expression of pain as she clutched the pillow closer to her. Just like she did with Rin, the divine creature tucked Serena's hair behind her ear.

"I love you, Serena Maeve Akari," she said as she sat beside her daughter, tenderly stroking her cheek, watching as Serena calmed down, her nightmare disappearing. A feeling of pure white warmth replaced it. "Just like your ancestor, you will rise above them all and take your place as the legendary warrior queen."

Sakura smiled warmly as her daughter turned around, burying her head in her lap just like she used to do when she was a child. "You will be the one to end all evil, to create a world of peace your ancestor managed to do long, long, long ago. You will be the world's hero from the wickedness that surrounds it." Serena clutched onto her mother tightly, the familiarity of it bringing her a peace she long forgot. "You will guide those out of the dark and into the light, showing them that even evil can become good."

The angel lowered her herself, placing a soft kiss onto her daughter's cheek. "You will face many hardships along your journey, but I know, without a doubt, that you will be able to accomplish anything and everything you put your mind too."

Sakura's eyes welled up with tears. "One day, you will become one with the warriors of our past, and you will, with their power, bring a peace that is long overdue." One of them managed to escape, dripping from her eye and landing on her daughter's face, but instead of rolling down her cheek, it was absorbed into her skin.

Sakura stood from the bed and spread her arms. Strips of blue exited her body, each one of them leaping into Serena's body, a faint blue glow surrounding her as Sakura's power was taken in by her daughter. "I give you what is left of me. Use it wisely," she gently stroked Serena's face once more before flying out of the window that was left slightly open. "I look forward to watching you grow," she said, smiling at her girl from behind the glass. "My little warrior."

With that, Sakura looked above, grinning merrily as she grabbed onto the extended hand of the woman that saved the world once upon a time ago.

"Welcome home, my child."
