Prologue
You were a were-wolf, a monster of incredible power. Were-wolves usually have the strongest of monster souls, but sometimes a were-wolf will have human soul traits, these monsters were the most powerful. You were one of these wolves. Your soul was like a slab of marble. It was a light blue mixed with the traditional monster white. The two colors were always swirling and moving around one another. Because of your human traits, your soul was right side up, and you appeared human outside of your wolf form, but you were alone.
During the war, you and your kind were put on the front lines so as to find and kill the stronger, more powerful humans before the weaker monsters were sent to fight. This would supposedly give you a fighting chance. However, you and the monsters underestimated the power of the humans, and fell. You being only (AGE) at the time you ran as fast as you could. You had watched your family die in front of you, and the thousands of monsters you once called friend.
You ran and hid in the forest, only knowing of the monster's defeat when a few campers passed and were talking about it. You hid in that very forest for thousands of years. Eventually you had made a proper home for yourself, a small cabin in the far reaches of the forest, hidden from any who dared come close by your powerful magic.
In that forest you watched and waited, waited for the day when the monsters would be free and you could come out of hiding. There was only one entrance into the underground, and you made sure it could be found every day. You watched as six humans fell down that hole, sacrificing their soul to the freedom of your race. You watched with disgust as they tried to climb back up, to save themselves, and failed miserably.
Another year passed, and the last human, the seventh, fell down the hole. They didn't try to stop themselves in fact they jumped. About a year later you heard a noise, it sounded as if something had shattered, and when you went to look the monsters, your people, were standing on a Cliffside. The barrier had been broken, your people had been freed, and this my dear reader, is where the story begins.
