Chapter 3
That night you ate deer again. "Yo Sans! You want somethin' to eat?" Sans was still sitting in the living room, patiently waiting. Very odd, but you dismissed it. "HELL YEAH!" You heard him wince as he stood up too fast. "How about you stay in there, and I'll bring it when it's done." "Yeah, that sounds like a plan."
It took you a good hour to cook the venison. You had already skinned the meat, which shaved off about half an hour from your preparing time, but actually cooking venison was a completely different business. You had to do it just right or the meat would either be inedible, raw sludge, or it would be as tough as a rock and impossible to chew. You could probably eat it raw, but you preferred the taste of cooked meat to raw meat.
Finally you were plating the second steak for Sans. You put the skillet on the counter to be washed later, and went about finding two forks and knives. You now had to carefully balance the two plates on one arm so you could open the kitchen door. You made it into the living room and handed a plate to Sans before sitting down yourself. His eyes widened and he practically devoured the whole thing.
You stared in disbelief. It had taken you three times longer to finish your food. "Wow Sans, you sure eat fast." he looked up at you and blushed slightly. "Sorry, that was really fucking fantastic though. Haven't had a meal like that in years." Sans sort of trailed off at the end, like he was thinking about something. "Alright, well c'mon, you're stayin' the night." you stood up and grabbed the plates, walking off to the kitchen to wash them. "Wait, what do you mean?" You sighed. "Number one, you're in no condition to leave by yourself, and number two, I don't feel like leaving right now. Besides that you look 'bone' tired, so let's get some sleep, shall we?" there was silence, then you heard snickers. "Did you just fucking-" "Make a pun, yes, yes I did, and it seems you found it to be quite humerus." You smiled as his laughter grew louder.
You decided to put the dishes in the sink and wash them in the morning, walking back into the living room just as Sans started to calm down. "Man, you are pretty good at this, and that's no 'fibula'." you rolled your eyes and chuckled at his pun. "C'mon, time to get you to bed." you extended a hand out to him, and he accepted. You carefully helped him into one of the guest rooms in your cabin. He plopped on the bed and fell asleep almost immediately. You chuckled and turned off the lights, leaving the room.
You went to your room and sat in bed, reading a book for a few hours, then you heard shuffles from the guest room. You shrugged it off when it stopped, but almost jumped off the bed when you heard a loud thud. You slowly walked to the room and opened to door to see that Sans had somehow fallen out of bed. He was hissing in pain. "Ow, fuck fuck fuck fuck!" You stooped down and helped him back up, checking his broken ribs for any further injuries. "You alright?" "Yeah, I think so." He didn't sound so sure. "I could put the mattress on the floor for you if you want." He nodded at you, "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea." He stood up and moved to the corner of the room while you dragged the mattress off the bed.
"There you go. Heh." you chuckled as you thought about something funny. "What?!" "Oh, it's nothing, I just realized that we've only just met a few hours ago and you're already falling for me." you smiled mischievously over at him. He literally pressed his ears over his eyes and pressed his palms to his face. "Fuck you" he mumbled. "Just go to sleep" you pushed him down on the bed, pulled the covers up over him and left him to sleep again. This time you actually went to sleep in your room, rather than staying up reading. It was around midnight when your eyes began to grow heavy and darkness took over your mind, allowing you the sweet release of sleep.
