Chapter 13

You awoke slowly, still only vaguely aware of the sleeping Sans curled up in your arms. Your eyes fluttered open and your ears twitched as your body began to wake itself up. Carefully, you disentangled yourself from Sans, being sure not to awaken him from his peaceful slumber.

His face was so serene, so tranquil. You smiled at the sight of his peaceful expression, especially after what had happened. Your smile faded into an angry grimace as you recalled Papyrus' actions. A low growl erupted from your lungs. Quiet, deep, but brooding and fierce, a growl that would frighten anyone who heard, which is why Sans moved, a slight frown appearing on his sleeping face until you realized and stopped. Thankfully, he didn't wake up.

You quickly left the room, silently closing the door behind you. You had decided that it was time to relocate Papyrus. To move him far, far away from Sans. You knew the perfect place.

There was an abandoned ranger station, deep within the forest, and far away from any form of civilization. Papyrus would be certain not to harm Sans there.

You snapped and teleported to the station, overlooking it. One of the windows was broken, and a lock would be needed, but it was nothing you couldn't handle in an hour or two, so you set to work.

There was some wood back at the cabin, and a lock could be easily made, so you set off. A few hours later the ranger station was a, more or less, functional holding cell for Papyrus. Grinning at your work, you teleported back home.

You found Sans still in his room, sleeping soundly. You were surprised, considering his reaction the first time he slept this long. You smiled, looking at him curled up in a ball. You left the room again, quietly as usual, and a darker expression took over your face.

You came upon the door to your room, where Papyrus was incarcerated. You could hear him, scratching at the door just a little bit at a time, trying to knock it down. When those noises stopped you could swear that you could hear his thoughts. His contemplations and wonderings as to how to get out of the room. Little did he know that he'd be leaving soon enough.

But, before that was started, it was now lunch time, so you stepped off to the kitchen to prepare some lunch for yourself and your two guests. You spent a good hour cooking the venison, trying to take your mind away from it's worry for Sans. By the time you were finished, you still hadn't let that go.

You simply teleported Papyrus' plate into your room, doubting your ability to deal with him without committing murder. You left yours and Sans' plates in the kitchen, making your way back to his room to wake him up. You found him as you left him, peacefully sleeping. He was still curled up in a ball, but it seemed that he had tangled himself up in the sheets since you had left.

You knelt down, softly chuckling at the adorable little skeleton. "Sans, c'mon lil' Sansy, wake up," you cooed at him, trying not to startle him. He groaned and turned over. "Y/N?", he mumbled. "Oh, get up lazy bones," you said in a bit more of a stern manner. Sans turned back to you and his eyes fluttered open. "Yup, definitely Y/N," Sans muttered to himself. He slowly pushed himself up. "Ready for lunch?," you asked him happily. He nodded and you helped him stand, pulling him up by the hand.

The both of you walked back to the kitchen, where the two plates were waiting. Sans almost immediately dug in, feeling more comfortable around you than he had when you first met. As he went to pick up his plate you again noticed the red stains on his jacket sleeves and made a mental note to clean him up after moving Papyrus.

"Would you like to watch a movie while we eat?," you asked Sans. He again nodded, his mouth too full of food to speak. "Heh, alright. How about another war movie?" When Sans nodded again you had the perfect movie in mind.

Sitting in the bottom of the box, the movie 'The Imitation Game' sat collecting dust, you having not watched it in such a long time. You pulled it from its place in the box and put it in the DVD player. This was one of your favorite movies, and you couldn't wait to see what Sans thought, so you sat back against the couch, Sans beside you, and let the movie begin.

Throughout the movie Sans looked extremely interested. He wasn't on edge, as he was while watching the Narnia movies, but his eyes held that hunger... that hunger you see when someone is really interested in something. You were more looking at him than paying attention to the movie. You had honestly though that he'd be asking questions again, but his eyes also held some measure of understanding.

As the movie came to Alan Turing's proposal, you noticed a very faint, light blush dusting his cheeks. Very small, hardly noticeable, but there.

At this point the both of you had finished eating and were only watching the movie. It was now that you decided to grab the plates and take them to the kitchen, Sans seemed to be enjoying the movie more anyways.

"Hey, Sans," you called, "I'm gonna take care of something real quick." Sans nodded at you, still watching the movie, and you chuckled at him, turning to go get Papyrus.
