Chapter 1
You were out hunting when it happened. You had been chasing a doe for about an hour, you were just about to strike for the kill when a loud, shattering sound tore through the forest. The doe heard and bolted. You froze, ears locked in an upright position. You were in wolf form, down on all fours, ready to bolt at the drop of a hat. Then you hear it again. The crashing sound, like someone had just knocked over a shelf full of china. You jumped and followed the sounds. It rang through the forest three more times.
You followed it to the edge of the forest, just beside the barrier. You could feel your soul beating in your chest, pumping against your ribs. You carefully stepped out of the bushes where you were hidden, not making a single sound and you looked up to see the cliff edge where the barrier was. Magic was flowing off it in waves, and once more the sound of breaking glass tore through the air, ripping its way past you and and echoing through the trees. Suddenly all the magic just disappeared. There was a thick fog, and a figure approached through it. Then another, and another, and another until there were seven shadows hidden by the grey mist. You couldn't make them out, and you squinted, but the mist began to fall away and dissolve around the figures. There was a tall goat-like man wearing a black cape who you immediately recognized as king Asgore. You held back your excitement at the barrier being broken. You feared for your life. What if the king resented you for being hidden here on the surface for so long? You pushed these thoughts away and continued identifying the figures on the cliff. There was a slightly shorter goat-like woman, the queen, Toriel. There was a small yellow dinosaur, and a tall fish-like woman with red hair tied back in a pony-tail. There were two were-wolves, like yourself. Your spirits lightened when you saw them. They might accept you. You've been alone for so long.
Both of the wolves were in their two-legged form. They were both skeletons. One of them was almost as tall as the fish-woman, and was wearing a tattered red scarf with black armor looking clothes and black skinny jeans. The other was much shorter, and wore a black leather jacket with a yellow fur hood and simple gym shorts with a yellow stripe down the side. He looked anxious, almost scared, standing with his hands shoved in his pockets.
Then your eyes passed to the seventh figure, standing at the head of the group. It was the young human you saw jump down the hole. They had a new look about their face. Rather than the look of pure sorrow and hurt, now they looked happy and determined. You didn't know what exactly had happened, but that human had helped break the barrier. Your vendetta against humanity had been fulfilled, now you were at peace with them. You didn't mind them anymore, as long as your people were free.
You turned and left, still fearful for your life. You returned to hunting and managed to catch a doe. You returned to your little cabin, where you transformed into your two-legged form and cleaned the meat. You prepared dinner and went about as usual, wondering about how you would go about re-entering monster society.
