Chapter 3~Mimi Mushroom
Mimi Mushroom~Wednesday 10:37 A.M
Hiiii! My name is Millie! Or Mimi for short! I'm a fast talker, with some social media intel. And please don't judge. Have you ever been that girl at school who every guy wants to be with and every girl wants to BE? But in reality most of your life is kinda odd? Well, I have! And Mushroom isn't my last name, but I keep that as my input name because, why? Welp, they're fun and mysterious! I'm ordinary in every way. You know, house, status, those sort of things. But then theres one thing in your life you hate? That's me! My parents. They're basically 5 year olds. Which is also the reason they're married. They both have IPD, a disorder that involves adults acting like children. I'm basically the mother. And I'm their only child which is also kind of inconvenient cuz' that means they want me to be around them 24/7. So, how am I even in a school if my parents can't work, you ask? Easy answer: My grandma. She's a nice kind of status person. And she's also the reason I have A+'s in all my classes. She knew right away that my parents weren't able to properly take care of me because of their disorder. But they still kept me because my grandmother wasn't able to get full custody of me. So she taught me how to cook, clean, you know. All those mother stuff. So now I'm the smartest in my class! Even though my grandmother wasn't able to get my full custody, she still had me visit her most weekends. Now to the part where my life is lucky in school. I actually owe it all to my parents. Because of their condition, I made a TikTok account, and an Instagram account. I posted pictures of me acting like a mother with my 2 baby parents. And now, thanks to IPD, I have 2,000,000 followers on both the accounts. So yeah, my life is pretty normal. Or at least, it WAS until I turned 13. Brace yourself
-flashback-
I wake up in my bed and then get dressed. I feel a sort of heavy thing on my back but it goes away. I walk to the bathroom the brush my teeth, then I scream. I scream so loud, the whole world probably hears it. My grandmother rushes into the bathroom and gasps. I try to tell her what's on my back but she already seems to know.
-end of flashback-
I can explain it from here. There were pixie wings on my back! I screamed so loud, because, who wouldn't scream after finding out your half mythical creature? As it turns out, my family comes from a long line of Pixie Elders. One was blessed by the Magic Goddess, Hecate, and was turned into a Pixie. Now, as each generation goes by, only 1 person is chosen to possess the hybrid that is the pixie. It's one of the rarest hybrids on earth. So rare, some people don't even believe it exists. Welp, all you have to do is ask me, because I know the answer. And since is was Hecate, the Goddess of Magic, you're able to make your wings disappear, but even if it makes is easiER, it doesn't make is EASY. I was constantly slipping up and kept making my magic activate on accident. One time, I managed to make a few things in the classrooms float, and that started a month-long rumor of a ghost in our school. Other than that, life was mostly fine. But my magic always slipped out on accident, and no matter how much my grandmother tried to teach me, nothing ever seemed to change. On the bright side, my social media had started growing more and in the last 4 months, I gained another 2,000,000 followers. My parents were still a pain in the but, so, there was always that. But life was mostly fine. I spent most of my time hanging by the pool at my grandmother's mansion, and of course, we kept trying to fix all my magic slip-ups, which, always failed horribly, but then, there was one more thing. Studies. Ever since I'd become a magical pixie thingy my studies were falling farther and farther behind. One time I got a B-, and I almost fainted. No joke. Things started going back up when I turned 15, and my grades got better again. So, that's good, I guess. Right now I'm walking home from school. My hair used to be solid brown but now it's blonde with a few mermaid pastel colors at the end. So what was I saying, oh right! After i went around the block I almost died right there on the spot. MY HOUSE WAS ON FIRE. FIRE!!! I rushed inside to find my parents on the floor freaking out. "HURRY! COME ON!" I screamed. My mom got my cat Snicker Doodles, and my dad grabbed our dog, Rocky. The hurried outside. I immediately called the fire department. After about 2 minutes, they finally arrived and put out the fire to our already burnt down house. I turned around at my parents. "WHAT THE HELL!" I screeched. "Sorry, dear! We were trying to make cookies, and I guess we turned the oven a little too high, and-" "A LITTLE TOO HIGH?! YOU COMPLETELY RUINED OUR HOUSE!!!!" I shrieked. Just then a car pulled onto the side of our rode and my grandmother got out. "WHAT HAPPENED??!!!" She yelled. "Cookie accident." I mumbled, trying to choke back tears. But it didn't work. All my tears were sucked out of my body. "You just put your life on the line and your CHILD'S life on the line!" My grandmother yelled. "Grandma, stop." I said. "No! You could've been killed! In fact, that's it! I cannot allow this any longer. You're going to a boarding school! There, you'll be safe from your reckless parents!" She yelled. My parents both got on their knees and started begging for forgiveness. But my grandmother made up her mind. And to be honest. I felt safer being 10 feet away from them. And now a boarding school's entering my life. I looked back at my parents, on the floor crying, the police, Fire Department, everyone. I turned back around and looked forward at the road my grandmother was driving on. I felt one emotion.
Sadness.
