"Is it?" Nathan asked.

"So what. It doesn't matter. I kissed you. I didn't know what I was doing. All I knew was if I avoided you I wouldn't have to be mocked for what I did. I'm an idiot I got it. I-"

"Your not an idiot. Your smart. You were just happy and caught up in the time."

"I'm not happy. It's proven. I'll never be happy. Never again. Have you ever heard this saying? What has been truly lost can never be found again. -Ceil Fantom-hive. This applies to me. I'll never be happy again! Thanks for reminding me!" I said and ran out of sight. Please tell me he didn't follow me. I thought. But as I round led a corner in a dead sprint, I ran into him. He just grabbed me and held me. Then he pulled me back.

"You will be happy again. Never give up. And I believe the phrase is, grab onto the rope even if it's thin and pull yourself back to life. -Ceil Fantom-hive." He said with a smile and was now leaning over me. My face was a flush pink. When he saw that, he smiled more and said,"I won't die until the day you are truly happy again." Than he leaned down and kissed me soft and short. "Now we can't stay in the woods forever now can we? We must go to your house. It is almost dark." He said and grabbed my as we walked back. That night I looked up at my ceiling. Then my phone buzzed (Nathan is in the room across the hallway) I decided to check the time and the phone number. It was 2:31 am and Nathan was calling me.

Me talking- hi Nathan- hi
"Hello?"
"Hi max. Aren't you supposed to be asleep? It's 2:31 am."
"I know. Why did you call me?"
"Give me a sec." he said and then hung up. Seconds later he walked through my bedroom door. He wasn't wearing a shirt but I had on a belly shirt and house shorts.

"Hey" he said.

"Hi. Why are you awake?"

"I could ask you the same thing." He said and sat next to me on the bed.

"Ok. What do you need?" I asked moving over.

"It's about earlier. I wanted to know if you'd go out with me." He said almost as quietly as a whisper was.

"What?" I asked confused. "Why would you want me. I can't feel certain emotions and I'm a freak." I said.

"Because I-I don't know how or when it happened but I like you ok? I just wanted to know." He said and got up. As he approached the door I said,

"Ok."

"What?" He asked.

"I said ok." I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Really?" he asked.

"Yes." I said. "But don't expect me to smile." I said and he hugged me tight. "And we can't tell my mom or dad. Especially not my Dad. He will kill me." I said.

"I know. I've been working for him for 10 years." He said smiling, "and I will make you smile. I promise."
