"Why did you-"

"Your the biggest idiot I know." I said harshly,"How do you not know who that was and if you did, why did you not react?"

"I don't know who they are because I'm not from here. Now why did you do that? I was fine." He said leaning over me.

"Because believe me I normally don't react like that but let's just say they are a group of people that you want to avoid." I said. "Now I have to get back to my job." I said.

"Are you just going to leave me? You know maybe you shouldn't go home tonight. If you hate your step mom so bad even though your mom was never to kind to you."

"Shut up!" I yelled angrily. Nobody could here me because they were on the far side of the room.

"But-"

"I SAID SHUT UP! You don't know what your talking about!" I turned around and pushed him to the wall and held the knife to his throat."My mother loved me! She was there when dad wasn't! She did everything she could to keep my happy! It's not her fault she was murdered! I swear if you ever say that again I will kill you!"I yelled but was crying. I dropped my knife and sank to the floor leading my back on the wall and my head in my hands,"I'm.....I'm sorry. I'm just protective of my mother." I said still crying.

"Don't be. I crossed a line with you I should have left be."

"No. I threatened your life a could have killed you. Do be sorry that I'm a jerk. Besides I needed to get that out of me."

"Max my job is to-"

"To be my bodyguard I know," I said nodding my head."but I stepped out of my place. For that, I am so sorry. My emotions are out of wack. I'll be fine........hopefully"

"Are you sure your not mad at me?"

"Well I'm mad because of the comment but I'll be fine." I said. I got up and when back to work,"though I fond know why you prefer to just stand there. Go hand out over there with the crowd. We have a band playing tonight."

He shook his head. "No I'm a bodyguard."

"Ok well my work is done and the maid is here so I'm going to listed to the band play." I said and took my apron off. I had been focusing on my feelings from there on and all that made me want is someone to comfort me. One thing lead to another and I was kissing Nathan. I wasn't forced. I hadn't been pushed. I just did it.

For the next couple of weeks I pretty much ignored him because of my embarrassment. I wanted to yell myself. I was a complete and utter idiot for kissing my bodyguard.

"Are you mad at me?" He asked one day.

"No. Why?"I asked.

"Because you are avoiding me. Don't think I can't see it. Is it because of what you and I did back at the dinner?" He asked.
