"Don't run. Things like that will only this worse for you." The voice said. I knew this was a dream but I was still scared. I've had this same dream a million times but I am still scared.

"Please.....please just let me go...." I said as a needle was stabbed into my arm.

"I wish I could but I can't I'm sorry."

"I hate you! Your a dang traitor! I thought you actually cared!" I yelled. That's when he hit me hard enough to knock me out.

"Ahhh!!!" I said waking up. Thank goodness I was awake.

"Max? Are you ok?" Maddy said walking in causally.

"Yeah. I'm fine."

"Ok well it's time to get ready for school." Maddy said.

"Yeah. Ok." I said and got in the shower. After I got out, I put on my black sweater and black jeans with a black hoodie and black and blue tennis shoes then put on my pearl and diamond necklace that my dead grandmother gave me. If you notice I wear black and blue. I walked out of the bathroom and started to walk to school when a car drove by.

"Hey do you need a ride?" U familiar voice said.

"No dad. I'm good."

"Alright. Be safe. Oh and I have a surprise for you." He said pulling over. "Nathan, will you please get out? Max this is Nathan. He will be your bodyguard and is not to leave you side. Got it?" My dad asked.

"What? A bodyguard? Fine. Whatever. Got it." I said.

"Aren't you cold?" A voice asked.

"I'm fine now we have to go. I have to get to school."I said to Nathan. The whole way to school we walked in silence. He stayed close to my side and I avoided talking about anything and everything.

"You know you could just ask me not to ask personal questions." He said as we were a block away from school.

"Maybe I'm just trying to be polite." I said.

"You do realize I know about your emotions right? You don't have to hide it."

"Maybe not around you but I work at my aunts dinner. So I do have to fake it."I said bluntly.

"So what grade are you in?" He asked. Basically he's tall with black hair that flows in front of his eyes. He where's a black suit and has green eyes. Yes any teen girl would fall for him but I'm different. Yes he is cute. If I could be happy I would be on my toes. But I barley know him.  I have to keep my guard up.
