Pretty much every day at school I played basketball at lunch. I didn't need but I did play. But one of the people on the team eventually came up to me and she was smiling after the game.

"Hey my name is Maddy. You've been playing basketball with us for one night I thought maybe I should get to know you. So I would like to know can we be friends?"

I was still registering this so I did look kind of funny. This is what I look like.

"Also your hair looks really pretty. I wish I could do that with my hair for my parents won't let me specially not my mom. But I think it's nice you get to play with us not very many new girls play.  Not very many new kids ever play any games with us even if we invite them. It's kind of sad really so we thought you would maybe be different. Turns out you are and you actually played."

"You know for a girl who doesn't talk much in class, you really talk a lot when you're out away from the teachers. I find it kind of funny but you know just another regular person." I said as if I actually could be happy.

"You know my mom knows you. She is the one you saw at the hospital. She told me that you can't feel happiness and joy so I can tell you're lying. You know you don't have to hide it from me. I mean I get it if you don't want to tell the others but you know I'm a good kid I'm also really good at keeping secrets. Oh by the way I also know you have wings and your vampire so there's no need to hide that one either. If you'd like to be friends, I'd like to make the offer."

"I guess you could be my first friend that I've actually made even though I don't know how to be happy with that one."

"Hey I know you can't feel happiness and joy whatever feeling again you just have to be happy for just little bit. All I want to see if you be happy for right now because I can't find it sad that you can't be happy. I know you've had a hard life that's why want to be your friend I want to make things easy for you. So do you say you want to be best friends?"

"Yeah I guess so."

"Great see you can come over to my place after school. I'm really happy! Oh by the way, I have one little question. When is being a vampire like? I've always admired them even if they're kind of weird I like them. Do you know how I could become one?"

"Yes I do know how you could become one I can actually make you one right now but I don't want to hurt you that's the thing. If you're going to be best friends that does require me not hurting you doesn't it?"

"true. True. That is very true. But if I'm willing to take pain then it's technically not bad."

"what would your mom say? When you get in trouble. I'm going to play myself."

"She only cares about me dying my hair cause she thinks I would look weird. But she really doesn't care if I become a vampire because she loves them.

"Are you sure?" I asked casually." I don't wanna get you in trouble."

"Yeah I'm sure. But maybe after school..."

"Okay."
