Max's POV

After he left I walked downstairs to my mom.

"Honey." She said and pulled me in for a hug I wasn't angry anymore. I was just sad. But I couldn't cry. I had to be strong. Dad was gone and it was just me and mom. I was happy though.

"Why did you guys divorce?" I asked her.

"He loves another woman." Nathan said entering the room.

"You knew?" I asked.

"No. When you first came home today and ran upstairs, I heard him say that." He said.

"Oh. Okay. What do we do now?" I asked clueless. Then I remembered that I had to clean. I walked over to the kitchen and stared to clean my dishes and then the rest of the house. I hadn't done chores in over a month so the house was a mess. But after an hour of mom and Nathan watching me clean, I finally finished and started to make dinner. I made some soup and dishes it into two bowls. I set the table and then brought mom and Nathan to the table and pored them some milk.

"Max? Aren't you going to eat?" Mom asked.

"Yes." I said and washed the soup pan since it was empty.

"What are you going to eat? There is no more soup." She said.

"I know." I said and walked to the fridge and picked up a bowl of leftovers from last night.

"Max no." Nathan said. He knew that I hated leftovers and that I had hated last nights dinner. "Max you aren't eating that." He said and put his food in front of me.

"I can't eat that." I said.

"Why?" He asked.

"Because. There is garlic in it. I can't have garlic. I'm allergic. I will swell up and have to go to the doctor it I eat it." I said and ate the leftovers.

"Max your not eating that." He said and got up. He mad some macaroni and threw out the leftovers that I was going to eat.

"Here." He said and sat down handing me the food and a glass of milk.

"Thanks." I said and began to eat. After dinner we were all back to normal and decided to watch some movies. It was about 11:30. We were about to go to sleep when the house phone started to ring.

"Hello this is Danny, the director of Masked Hollow high school and I would like to inform you that few to some recent damage the school will no longer be in session. We had a tornado hit the school and it completely destroyed the school. So till the school is rebuilt, you will have online classes. Thank you for hearing this message. Bye."

I fell asleep that night and wondered what the online classes would be like.
