Max POV

We went to the movies and watched lego batman. After that we went out and got Chinese. It was really good since I love to eat Chinese food. When we got home, it was already 11:00. I went to my moms room and said goodnight. Nathan and I said goodnight and he went to his room. I took off my makeup and date outfit and got dressed in my pjs. I sat on the edge of my bed and scrolled through my music. I put on ear buds and listened to Demons bye imagine dragons (song listed above). I stared at my ceiling for a while. I started to get the energy to fly so I jumped out of my window and took off. I still had my phone and earbuds with me so I could listen to music. I landed in my house in the woods and played my music over my speaker. As soon as the song started over, I sang along. It's a love song. I sang the song till the very end. When I heard a footstep in the house, I turned around. It was Maddy. She came over to me and smiled.

"That was beautiful Max." She said and put the song on replay.

"Wanna sing it with me?" I asked.

"Sure." She said and the song began again. We sang it while sitting on the window seal. We sang the song like 5 times till she said that she had to go home.

"Bye Maddy." I said as she left.

"Bye max." She said and disappeared into the woods. After she left I closed the door and the windows and just sat in a chair. I listened to the music as the rain began to fall. When I saw a figure in the doorway, I stood up. It was Nathan. He was wet from the rain.

"Hey. Your wet." I said and started to grab some clothes for him. He smiled as he looked at me.

"Yes I am. And with the way it's raining, you will be too if you try to go home." He said and I noticed his phone.

"Crap Nathan, your phone. It's wet. That can ruin it." I said but he held his hand up to silence me.

"It's fine. I can get a new one. But we aren't heading home till the rain clears." He said and I handed him some clothes. When he came out of the bathroom, he was almost dry. He walked into the living room and I took a towel to his hair and started to dry it. He looked at me funny but I continued to dry his hair. "Max I can do it myself."

"I know. But I can do it better." I said with a smile.

"Oh really?" He said standing up, making me drop the towel. He put his hand in mine and smiled. "I think I'm better at it." He said and turned to face me directly.

"I wouldn't say that." I said knowing that we weren't talking about drying his hair. Slowly he pressed his lips on mine and kissed me as the chorus of the song started to play and he smiled against my lips.

"I think I win." He whispered To me.

"I will give you a 6." I said and smiled as we pulled away.

"Just a 6?" He said and took my hand in his as he walked over to the window and looked out. "How about a 10." He said and turned to me again.

"I don't know." I said and smiled as he presses his lips on mine again and we stood there like that. We didn't speak or move. We just kissed until he pulled away and whispered, "I love you Maxine. I will always love you." And he hugged me and I actually fell asleep in his arms. Talk about surprising. When I woke up, he was in the kitchen cooking something and I was on the couch. It was morning. "I called your man and said we would be home after the storm ends." he said after realizing that I was awake. My mom knows about my house in my the woods. And the rain was still poring hard outside. Luckily dad won't be home till Monday and it's Sunday.

"Okay." I said trying to stand.

"Are you ready for breakfast? It's eggs and bacon." He said and put breakfast on the table. He sat down and I got us some milk. I sat down across from him. He smiled as I handed him his glass.

"What?" I asked confused.

"You look pretty when you wake up." He said and I realized that I had no makeup on so he could see my face and my hair was messed up.

"Crap." I said starting to stand up.

"What?" He asked as I started to walk.

"I don't have my makeup on and my hair is a mess." I said stopping to look at him.

"Max. You don't need your makeup. Your beautiful without it. I promise." He said and I sighed.

"Now I know your lying." I said.

"Max why don't you like the way you look?" He asked confused.

I sighed again and walked over to him. "I don't like the way that I look because I have always been told that I'm ugly or I'm stupid or that people hate the way I look." I said and a look of sorrow appeared on his face.

"Max. I don't know who said that but they are wrong. You are pretty in fact, you are beautiful. Never doubt yourself." He said and I just smiled. I was lucky to have a guy like that. He always try's to make me happy and is sad when I'm sad. I just wish I could understand where I am coming from.

"Ok..." I mumbled and sat down. We ate and then Got dressed and presentable for the public. I was glade to walk outside now that the rain had stopped. It was a beautiful morning and I loved to feeling of sunshine on my skin. I jumped off the porch and took off in the sky with Nathan behind me.

When we got home there was a surprise waiting for us.
