Before I start this book, I'd like to say, that if there are any cuss words, that one off my friends sometimes tipes in this book and like led to write cuss words and I have done my best to edit them out. We loaded up in the car. It was me,my mom,and my dad. I have no siblings. My little brother was supposed to be born in August, but he died at birth. We were going to name him Jacob.
My name is Maxine but I go by Max. I was born on December 30th. I was due January 26th but I was born early. I had to stay in the hospital for a while but I'm fine now. Many say I was an Easter accident but I don't believe them. I can't feel happiness or joy. Life has been to painful. I'm a vampire. I can run so fast I'm like a shadow. I'm 14 and I'm in 9th grade. We are moving from Nashville, Tennessee to Masked Hollow in Missouri.

When we arrived at the hospital, mom got my door and I got out carful not to fall. I broke my leg a month ago in a car accident but the cast gets to come off today. When we went inside, they sent me to a room with a female doctor. She helped me onto a table and walked over to a cabinet.

"So what's your name?"she asked sweetly."I'm Alexa. I heard your new here. I have a daughter named Maddy, she's 15 and in the same grade as you."

"My name is Maxine but my family calls me Max."I said absently "I was told that your new here at the hospital. Is that true?"

"Yes actually. I'm new to this hospital but I've lived in this town my whole life."she said,"who told you that?"
"The lady at the front desk."I said blankly.

"Well that's nice. I hope you get used to this place because your parents said they aren't going to move again and live here for the rest of their lives."

"That's good. I don't want to move any more. All of my friends and family are gone. And my best friend is dead. She died in a school shooting. That's why we moved."I said and I put no emotion into it.

"I'm sorry to here that. I hope your able to move on."she said that as if we knew each other or we were friends.

"I'll be fine. Soon I'll be in a school with others. Hopefully I'll make a friend. Or two."

Hey guys it's Max(aka:the author)! I'm going to have to find a nickname for you guys. Anyways I've finished the first chapter of this new book so now I'm writing two books at a time!
