"I'm so happy you're awake"

That day was one of the strangest experiences of my life.

"Madre... what happened?"

Sometimes I wish I never asked that question. That question has triggered so many flashbacks and nightmares.

"You were raped mi hija..."

It took me a few seconds to process until I started sobbing.

    "I'm so happy you're awake" Vanessa said, Lin was sitting beside her. Multiple blankets were tucked around her with the addition of her parents tightly holding Genevieve's hands.

"V... What Happened?" She asks, Lin looks down as he remembers the night. He remembers running after his daughter, losing track then finding her alone half naked in an alley.

"You were raped mi hija..." Vanessa says, her mothers voice echoing in her head.

Genevieve started off at the wall unable to look at the people with her. Tears started falling as she thought about it. Vanessa pulled her into a tight hug. Lin hung his head in his hands.

"I know hunny... I know how it hurts" Vanessa says, Genevieve tightly holds onto her mothers blouse.

"You're just saying that" Genevieve sobbed, Vanessa kissed head and continues to rub her back.

I wasn't just saying that...
