He said in a serious tone and glared at them. Lily, her friends, and a Spartan stood there, feeling nervous in his presence because Ruby had "accidentally" followed them to the dropship and was now with them. Andras spoke up in their defense.

Andras: Director, a person named Ruby Rose just appears out of nowhere and just simply came to aid us unexpectedly to fight against a hostile individual named Cinder. Although when we fail to capture or kill her and we head back to the ship, she simply follows us behind and onboard it.

Deegan looks at Lily with serious glare.

Deegan: Is that true, Captain Long?

She gulped.

Lily: Yes sir. She somehow follows us without us realizing it.

A director let out a sigh of frustration as he sat down on the office chair. He rubs his forehead to massage away the frustration and looks up at them.

Deegan: So where is she now?

Lily: She was being interrogated, and after that, she went back to the cell at the detention center for time being of what we're going to do with her.

Deegan: I see... Any treatment received for her?

Claire: She was treated fine, sir. Nothing harms her. Although we put her aura cuffs and semblance suppression collar for precaution.

She stands firm.

She shouted and slammed both fists on the desk at Ozpin sitting on the chair. Ironwood and Glynda are there with him as they were discussing the incident last night when Yang along with Blake and Weiss followed her behind to try to calm her down.

Glynda Goodwitch: Miss Xia Long, behave yourself!

Yang: Not until what's happening to my sister! Tell me who took her.

Ironwood: You're Yang Xia Long, am I correct?

He said to Yang.

Ironwood: We are trying to identify the infiltrators that night during beacon dance. But unfortunately, something blinds me and we never get a good close look of who they are.

Glynda Goodwitch: Which is troublesome to be unable to find out who they are.

She deeply sighed that it was stressful today.

Yang: Headmaster, with your permission, I want a rescue mission to find my sister.

Ozpin: I'm afraid I can't do that.

Yang: Why not!

Blake: Yang.

She comes over as she places her both hands on Yang's shoulder to calm her down. Ozping breathed in and said to her professionally.

Ozpin: First, we do not have a clue of Miss Rose's whereabouts. Second, there will be an event where it involves all students represented from different kingdoms to provide special news that you and your teammates will hear at the auditorium. Until we know her whereabouts, Weiss Schnee will be temporarily leader of your team. So please, trust on us, we will do whatever we can to find your sister. Do you hear that, Miss Schnee?

Glynda Goodwitch: I was just wondering who it was? We weren't aware of what's happening outside. The security cameras are having some errors for no reason. And now, Ruby Rose just vanished in thin air.

Ironwood: Which is why sending more troops spread across Vale to find her whereabouts, locate those who are responsible for involvement in beacon dance night, and eliminate enemy forces who stand in our way.

He stood up from his chair firmly. He calms down and continues to speak to him.

Weiss: Yang, as much as we worried about Ruby, you need to calm down.

Yang: Calm down!

She screams at Weiss which frightens her.

She said with serious glare to her.

Yang starts to calm down to subsist her anger and look at her in regret.

Yang: I'm sorry, Weiss.

She went to embrace her as Yang embraced her in return. After that, they let go of each other.

Weiss: I just hope Ruby will be alright on her own, wherever she is, she can go through with it.

Ruby Rose was released from the detention center as they received a call to release her. However, she is not allowed to return her favorite scythe so Ruby is filled with tears to miss her Crescent Rose. They've removed aura cuffs from her, and told her to never use semblance in the public city.

Then she sees two men wearing black tailored suits with black neckties and they wearing black eyeglasses. These are Secret Service agents. They approach her as one of them said to a young huntress.

Secret Service agent: Are you Ruby Rose from Vale?

Ruby Rose: Uh... Yes. I am?

She responded awkwardly.

Secret Service agent: Miss Rose, please follow me. We'll take you to the white house.

Ruby Rose: Uh, White House?

Secret Service agent: Please come with us. It'll be easier to cooperate.

Ruby Rose: Um, okay.

She felt nervous, as these people were noticeably different from those in Vale or other kingdoms. Despite this, she hoped she wouldn't face the same harsh treatment she might have as a prisoner elsewhere and might even receive better treatment here.

She was escorted to a black limo waiting ahead, where they placed her inside and closed the door. Once inside, she noticed a familiar face sitting next to her, which surprised her to see again.

Lily Long: Why hello there, Rose.

She was wavering a hand at her. She is wearing a casual t-shirt and jeans for off-duty.

Ruby Rose: Wait, I know you. You were the same one when I accidentally followed you behind your ship.

She said surprisingly.

Lily Long: Hm, the ship you are referring to is a dropship, and you make the first one to be brought here.

Lily said.

Ruby Rose: Here? Just where am I?

Lily Long: You'll see when we get there. In the meantime, why not have some snacks I brought here for you. I hope you like it.

She brought out a grocery bag filled with soft drink cans and cookies, which made Ruby so happy to see her favorite snacks.

Ruby Rose: Cookies! Yummy!

She grabs the cookies out of the grocery bag and begins to eat them.

The limo drivers arrived in Washington D.C., where they encountered a city so modern and futuristic that Ruby Rose found it hard to comprehend how different it was from Vale or other kingdoms. She observed humans and faunus alike enjoying their lives without feeling discriminated against. This made her happy, hoping that humans and faunus could coexist together peacefully, much like Blake or Velvet had envisioned.

The two girls were having a conversation. Ruby asked Lily about their location, and Lily explained that they were in Washington, D.C., the capital city. She went on to describe it as part of a nation called The United Federation of America, which confused Ruby, as no such kingdom existed in Remnant. Lily reassured her that her father would explain everything once they arrived.

As Ruby continued to gaze out the window, they approached the gate, which opened to reveal a larger-than-life White House—the residence and office of the head of state and government, the President.

They went out the limo where Ruby see this place so amazing in her eyes, sparkling of seeing architecture design.

Lily Long: Welcome to the White House.

Ruby Rose: White House?

Lily Long: Yep! This place has history ever since the beginning of that year. This place is where you are going to meet my father.

Ruby Rose: Wait, your father lives here?

Lily Long: Of course! After all, he is a leader of this nation.

Ruby felt shocked that her father is actually a ruler of this so-called United Federation of America which seems to suggest that he is something like a councilor from Vale or other kingdoms. She gulped, feeling nervous to meet someone who is governing this land.

Lily Long: Come on, don't be nervous. You will be happy to meet him once you get to know him.

Ruby Rose: O-Oh okay.

She said, still feeling nervous. Both girls enter the white house where she tours around the place for Ruby Rose to familiarize it. They goes through security first, and then they exploring the place.

Once they were done exploring the area, they headed to the oval office where the president was waiting for them. They entered the office room to see Pres. Alexander P. Long sitting there. A president spoke to them genuinely.

Alexander Long: Hello, dear. I was wondering to see how our new guest tour around this nation?

Lily Long: Oh dad, she is surprised to see something very new.

Alexander Long: That is called culture exchange.

He chuckles before looking at nervous huntstress.

Alexander Long: So I've heard your name is Ruby Rose, am I right?

Ruby Rose: Oh? U-Um, y-yeah. I am Ruby Rose, s-sir.

Alexander Long: Whoa now, don't you fret, darling. There ain't nothing to be scared of.

Ruby Rose: But, um, I've never met someone who governs the land before. In fact, I never met the councilor of Vale before.

Alexander Long: Well, y'all have a chance to meet a president, which is me, of course. I'm Alexander P. Long, by the way.

He stands up, giving her a hand.

Ruby Rose: Um, nice to meet you.

She grabs his hand and they both shake hands.

Alexander Long: So, tell me, what do you think of it outside while on the way here?

Ruby Rose: It's a really amazing place. I see that both humans and faunus are having a good time together.

Lily Long: It sure is.

She commented.

Alexander Long: Dear, why not bring your sister here and tell your mother to get ready for lunch with our guest here.

Lily Long: Sure thing, dad.

She walks out of the room, leaving Alexander Long and Ruby Rose in the office room. He sat back down on the chair and said to her,

Alexander Long: So, Ruby Rose, I wanna ask you something.

Ruby Rose: Oh, uh, sure.

She sat on the couch nearby.

Alexander Long: Tell me, do you know anything about this nation?

Ruby Rose: Nation? I thought it's a kingdom.

Alexander Long: Oh no, Ruby. It's not a kingdom. A nation in definition is a large group of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language, inhabiting a specific country or territory. Way different from kingdom.

Ruby Rose: Oh.

Alexander Long: So do you know much about it?

Ruby Rose: Sure. So I can understand what's going on here.

Alexander takes a deep breath and lays back against the chair as he is about to have a long history of his nation's origin.

Alexander Long: Well, you see...

Alexander Long: Oh dear, it seems like I talk to you so long that you can't understand much information.

He sighed.

Alexander Long: I should've thought of that.

The door knocked before it opens to see his wife coming in the room.

Kasey Wolfin: Honey, lunch is ready. Lily also calls her sister to come here too. Oh, so this is a guest she's talking about.

She said.

Alexander Long: That's right. Just having a friendly conversation. Ruby, come on, let's have some lunch.

Ruby regained normality from dizziness and she replied to him.

Ruby Rose: Oh okay!

She stands up and follows him before she meets a woman standing right there at the door.

Kasey Wolfin: Hello, young lady. My name is Kasey Wolfin, Alexander's wife.

Ruby Rose: Ruby. Ruby Rose, it's nice to meet you.

She said with a smile to Alexander's wife.

Everyone had lunch together today. A minute later, they finished eating, and the servants came to clear the table. They enjoyed their time together, chatting with each other. Lily's older stepsister then said to Ruby Rose,

Veronica Long: So Ruby Rose, what do you think of lunch today?

Ruby Rose: They're so good! The garlic bread. The meatloaf. The oven-fried chicken. They taste so delicious.

Alexander's wife chuckles.

Kasey Wolfin: I told you she likes it.

She said to her husband.

Kasey Wolfin: Anyway, I'm going to check in the kitchen.

Lily Long: Sure, ma!

Kasey steps up and heads to the kitchen room.

Ruby Rose: So, you're her sister?

Veronica Long: Step-sister. But I saw her as my own sister, something I never have one before.

Ruby Rose: I'm surprised you are a general in the military. In fact, I've never heard that the United Federation has a military like Atlas.

Lily Long: Oh please, Atlas military is nothing when we have a much more advanced military arsenal. In my point of view, Atlas military really sucked at it.

She made a negative comment about the Atlas military.

Lily Long: I'm sure that  my father told you a lot, right?

Lily Long: Faunus outside the UFT struggle for equality, facing discrimination from humans. White Fang extremism is rampant and widespread. Banditry and crime syndicates pose significant challenges. Grimm infestations spread across the continent like parasites. As President of the UFT, it's time to initiate better change for the benefit of both humans and faunus in combating these issues.

With their support, we can extend our assistance to them. By revealing ourselves, they will join our side and we can help meet their needs whenever possible.

Ruby Rose finds their cause so noble that she believes they are truly planning to reveal themselves to the world. She then asks them a question.

Ruby Rose: Then why stay hidden any longer? Why not do it now?

Alexander Long: See, that's the thing. We need a perfect opportunity in order to make a grand entrance. While we do not have an opportunity, we do what we can to provide the people behind the scenes while we ready ourselves for action.

Veronica Long: Since you brought here by some "accident" you called it - We decided that it would be best time to use this opportunity.

Alexander Long: Our trusted private military company, Perseus Corporation, contacted us 4 minutes ago that there are some shady activities that have been going on.

Veronica Long: We believe that it's located in MT. Glenn. A ruined city that used for people to live there back in the days.

Lily Long: But now it's a ghost town.

Veronica Long: We believe that it has to do with the White Fang since Roman Torchwick provides us information about their whereabouts.

Ruby Rose: Roman Torchwick! Where is he now?

Lily Long: Locked up for now. The agency guys would deal with him and his partner in time. After all, my team and I succeeded in capturing them.

Ruby Rose: Wait a minute... I knew that voice was something so familiar.

Then she gasped of realization.

She screamed in surprise upon realizing that the person was the same one who had hung out with her team to take down Torchwick and his partner in crime that night.

Lily Long: Yep. Me and my team make pretty good teamwork, if not for your aid.

She said with a smirky smile.

Veronica Long: Anyway, the Perseus Corporation wants us to help them eliminate the White Fang. We don't know their exact plans, but reports indicate they have a train located deep underground in the city. Since you're here, I think you should accompany Lily and the others to go there.

Alexander Long: If you make that happen, we could seize a perfect opportunity to reveal ourselves during the Fleet Parade. We would hover over the city, showcasing our magnificent navy force, which has ventured to the stars and begun colonizing uncharted planets to expand our population in the future. This event might occur before the Vytal Tournament starts, and I understand you and your team will be participating, correct?

Ruby nodded.

Alexander Long: Then answer this: as the President of the United Federation of Terrans, will you help us make a new change in this world and bring peace and order to both species against the menace of Grimm? Will you join us in stopping the White Fang from committing a terrorist attack against Vale?

He said to Ruby Rose, offering her a choice. Ruby Rose had been pondering for a long time whether to join them. After a minute of contemplation, she looked up at them with a determined expression and gave her answer.

Ruby Rose: Yeah. I'm in.

Lily Long: Nice!

She replied with excitement about her choice.

Alexander Long: Excellent to hear, Ruby Rose. You'll be leaving in the next hour after my wife brings the dessert.

Ruby Rose: Dessert?

When she heard someone walking into the room, Ruby turned around to see Kasey bringing a big plate of dessert—cookies and milk—which made her incredibly excited, as it was her favorite kind of dessert.

Ruby Rose: Okay. I'm 100% helping you guys to make the world a better place!

With that response, Ruby Rose will assist the United Federation of Terrans in launching a new campaign once they reveal to the entire world, potentially altering the history of Remnant forever.
