do you ever get that feeling
where you know you've been good—
so good—
recently
but then you find yourself
standing way up high 
and you simply look down
and stare upon the concrete ground
and you know if you jump
there's no chance of escaping unscathed
but yet, you long anyway
to slide one leg then the other
over the rail
and to leap down
to your fate?

i know this feeling is inevitable
when i find myself way up high.

even if i i've been so incredibly good lately,
i just can't resist the temptation
to know what it feels like
to jump.
