Gimme the money

When you realise that you don't know someone was well as you thought you did
~
Peter Parker's P.O.V
Peter's mind was working over time, trying to find away to escape so far his best plans were:
• Naruto run out of there to avoid the bullets (won't work because they're
not in area 51 and the meme is pretty dead anyway)
• Challenge the man to a dance battle (Peter wasn't sure how this would help but he didn't have many options)
• Pretend he could speak English (probably wouldn't work as the man knows he speaks English)
• Train an army of flamingos to attack the man so they could slip away. (Peter was getting desperate)
• Try and contact someone (they couldn't call anyone because Karen was offline, Peter was leaning towards Carrier Pigeons)
• Order a Pizza (Probably wouldn't help the situation but he was hungry)
He heard Flash shouting something at the man who replied "well you see, I'm not alone"
Five people walked in through a side door and Peter snapped back to reality.
He didn't know two of them, one of them was Gerald , the man they spent all day looking for, and the last two-
Peter looked over at his friend, he had taken his mask off to show a face of betrayal.
Because standing Infront of them was Mr and Mrs Thompson.
"Mum? Dad? W-what?" Flash's voice cracked.
It was obvious Flash was holding back tears, he had been let down by his parent over and over again but this, this was extreme.
"Hello Eugene" His mother said coldly
Flash spluttered obviously trying to find some response. Eventually he managed to say "you work with this piece of shit?"
"We work for whoever's willing to pay" his father said, looking disdainfully at his son.
"But- but why? Why now? Why me?"
The defeated look on Flash's face almost broke Peter's heart.
"It's about time you weren't just a waste of space"
Flash looked like he has a million questions but Gerald interrupted, his voice was gravelly and unpleasant to listen to. "As touching as this family reunion is. I have stuff to do so can we please wrap this up"
"Now, now Gerald let's take our time to enjoy things" The Man said keeping his gun fixed on the two boys "Rosie tie them up"
Flash's mother stepped forward, forcibly pushed them back to back into two chairs and tied them up. Locking it with a padlock. She made a big show of throwing the key away.
"Now that we have the boys where you want them" another member of the group said "I trust we will receive the money you promised"
The man smiled pleasantly again. Peter wanted to punch him.
"I'm afraid there has been a little change of plan"
"Change of plan?" Someone questioned, anger clearly present in their voice.
Peter stopped listening to the argument that was unfolding before him and tried to talk to Flash. Rosie Thompson was still standing nearby so he kept his voice low.
"Flash we need to get out of here, now's our chance"
"What's the point" He heard a defeated voice reply. "My parents are going to kill us. And it's my fault"
"Wha- how could this possibly be your fault?"
"In my parents office I saw a picture with them, Gerald and the other two people in. It was taken in 2010, the year my sister died. They must have joined because I killed her."
"Flash your sister died saving you, it was an accident. She made her choice just like your parents made theirs. But you can't just throw away her sacrifice now-" Peter tried to turn to face Flash but the bonds were to tight "we have to try"
Flash didn't seem convinced but Peter felt him sigh. "Fine"
"Great" Peter whispered quickly "now do you know how to pick locks or something?"
"Do you have a paperclip?"
"No, why would I have a paperclip?" Peter whisper yelled.
"I don't know" Flash whisper yelled back.
Peter looked around and a glint of silver caught his eye "Would a safety pin work?"
"I guess"

Peter and Flash tried to move the chairs towards the safty pin on the floor as surreptitiously as possible. It wasn't very hard because everyone was arguing furiously.
The chairs squeezed against the concrete floor and both boys held their breath. The only person who took any notice was Flash's dad who looked around before returning to the argument.
After what seemed like an eternity, although the only moved a few feet, they were next the the pin. Peter slid down in his seat and grabbed the pin. He handed it to Flash who started to pick the lock.
Peter started listening to the conversation again when he heard someone tell "What are you gonna do kill us?"
"Well, yes"
They seemed taken aback but someone spat in the man's face "I'd like to see you try. I'm going to give you one chance, give us what you promised or we'll hunt you down"
"No."
"What do you mean no?"
"No, I will not give you your money."
"You know we will kill you right now? It's 5 against 1"
"Crap I dropped it!" Flash said to Peter.
"You did what??"
"Were did it go?"
Peter could here a helicopter overhead. Could this be Mr Stark coming to save them?
A rope fell through the hole in the ceiling and everyone stopped to stare at it.
"What the hell" somebody muttered.
Tick. Tick. Tick.
"I'm terribly sorry" the man said grabbing hold of the rope "but you all have to die"
The five people pulled out their guns and pulled the trigger but nothing happened.
Tick. Tick. Tick
"It's so sad when all your bullets get. . . Misplaced. Isn't it?"
Somebody tried to grab his feet but the man was too high up.
Tick. Tick. Tick.
Everyone ran for the exits but found that they were barricaded. Everyone except Flash's mother. She looked straight at Peter, a blank expression on her face.
Suddenly she ran forwards, not towards an exit but to the chair the boys were tied up on.
She retrieved a pocket knife from an inside pocket and began cutting the rope.
Mr Thompson, seeing what his wife was doing grabbed the abandoned web shooters from the floor and rushed over.
Tick. Tick. Tick
"M- mum what are you doing?" Flash asked, his voice shaking.
Tick. Tick. Tick.
"I've been a horrible mother Eugene and I don't expect you to forgive me but- I'm sorry. For- for everything. I love you I really do."
Tick. Tick. Tick
"I'm really really sorry son. What we did was- was unforgivable. I love you"
Tick. Tick. Tick
Flash looked into his parents's eyes and eventually said "it's about 8 years to late"
Peter and Flash put the web shooters on their wrists, aiming them out of the hole and swinging out just as the building exploded behind them.
Boom
