Albino?

(Gilda and Anna's designs)

The three were back at the circus. It'd been a few weeks yet the circus was still a success. Rumor has it that Isabella had been offered money for the performers but always turned it down

"I heard she said that she just wanted her performers to have fun and be happy cause a lot of places don't pay their employees that well" Don whispered as more people filled the seats. Then, just like last time, the lights went out, Isabella introduced herself, her son walked up, did his signature fire breathing trick and the trapezist appeared. It was still magical. Suddenly, someone grabbed his wrist, was immediately taken into the air and set onto one of those hoops trapeze artists use

(Fuck what are these called)

He was sitting in the hoop, dangerously high

"Hey, there" the trapezist greeted, her hushed voice barely audible over the surprised crowd

"H-hey..." Norman shall greeted back, holding on tight to the metal beside him

"Sorry bout grabbing you like that. Momma told me to spice up the show a little bit!" The girl explained

"Momma?... The ringleader?" Norman asked

"Huh? Oh, nah, my mom's the performers' trainer! She used to be a trapezist, like me!" She exclaimed quietly as Norman looked down at the terrifying drop "oh, don't worry, I've been training since I was six! All of us have! I won't let you fall" the girl reassured him

"Ah..." Norman murmured. Then, he saw his mother and friend. From his mother's posture and the way she moved, he could tell she was worried sick. Don was hyped, but still scared for his friend. The three of them knew that all eyes were on him and a single slip up could get him exposed. Just as he was deep in his thoughts, the trapezist let out a gasp

"You're.. An albino..?" She whispered as she caught a glimpse of his neck and hair from under his cloak. Okay. Now he was panicking "I've never met an albino before!" She whispered again

"Huh?"

"Don't worry, the secrets safe with me! But first, I gotta complete this act. Try not to scream!" the trapezist said before swinging her legs to hang onto a bar and grabbed Norman to maneuver his hands into hers "hold on tight, masky! I'd recommend closing your eyes, its less scary" She held onto his hands tightly, the momentum of the swing quickly escalating. Suddenly he felt himself get lightly thrown back into his seat

"Norman!" Matilda exclaimed "oh, praise the Lord, are you okay!?"

"Uh huh..." Norman whispered, his voice hushed

"Are you sure!?" His mother panicked

"Yeah.. Yeah, I'm okay" Norman cleared his throat

"Something happen up there?" Don asked, seeing how his friend was tense and all

"Uhh... No. No, just a little shaken up..." Norman said. Anyways, the performers continued the show as usual, with the exception of most, if not all, bringing someone from the audience into the act. The experience was still as amazing as the day they went there. Time flew by again and the show ended once more

"Well, my amazing audience," Isabella said "usually, the show ends now, but! Our performers want to add just one more act to tonight's performance!" The gingerette swung back down from the platform, towards the crowd, back towards the platform and repeated until she decided who to pick from the audience and got enough momentum. Suddenly, Norman felt someone grab his wrist again and felt the wind swoosh by him as he was brought back to the ropes

"Hi again!" The girl greeted happily, setting him back in the hoop

"Hey..." Norman greeted back. Then, the rope walkers hopped into the conversation

"So you're the boy Chérie keeps blabbing about" the blonde one giggled

"Chérie? Is that your name?" Norman asked, turning to the trapezist

"Well.. Yes and no. Its my stage name!" The girl explained

"Oh.. What about everyone else?" Norman asked

"Mine's Lune and this is Soleil" the green haired tightrope walker said, motioning to herself and the blondette

"Isabella's son is Braise" Chérie smiled

"Anyways, lets get this done" Lune sighed before grabbing Norman, setting him between them and helping him balance on the rope

"Don't worry. We won't let you fall, and, even if you do, Chérie will catch you" Soleil whispered. The tightrope segment went well but, the trapeze segment... Ehh... The boy wasn't paying attention to his mask so, when he noticed the string had broken, it was too late. Just as Chérie set him onto a ledge, the mask fell off. The audience gasped at the sight of the albino boy standing above the crowd. He started getting overwhelmed when he spotted his mother shoot up and start sprinting through the seats, obviously going to go get him

"I... I'm so so so sorry!" Chérie gasped, a guilty expression plastered on her face

"Its alright, I-" Norman began

"Norman!" his mother called out from behind him. He turned and Matilda immediately covered her son with her cloak

"I'm so sorry, ma'am, I didn't mean-" Chérie apologized

"It's alright, my dear, it isn't your fault" Matilda said as she escorted her son back onto solid ground and out of the circus

"... Norman, huh?" Chérie whispered under her breath as she watched from above, the mother and son scurry away with his friend close behind
