It was a bright and beautiful day, the sunlight made the water glisten.

Jeongsuk swam out of the reef disobeying her parents orders to stay close to home.

Today was the day.

The day she finally decided to go to the place she's always been so curious about. The human world.

She swam closer to the surface, she knew exactly where a good place was to pull herself up on shore without anyone seeing her.

As the water got shallower she started to get more scared...

This is it. She thought.

I'm officially rebelling against my parents orders.

I'm finally following my dreams to see what's beyond the ocean.

She stuck her head out of the water and saw the coast was clear.
She was on a beach, but it was a bit further out where nobody really goes.
She was behind a few tall rocks.

All of her strength was used to pull herself onto the hot sand.
Her tail felt like it weighed a ton out of the water, this was harder than expected.

When she finally heaved herself all the way out of the water she just kind of sat there.

What now?

Legends said that when a mermaid goes on land their tails disappear.

As a warlock there are things you need to get for potions that you can't get at the store.

Things such as seaweed.

I mean you could get some at the store probably, but it would be rather strange asking which isle the seaweed was down.

Luckily for Kayden, he knows just the place to get some seaweed at wothout having to go to the store and paying for it.

It was his own little place at the beach that was kind of away from where anyone usually goes,
there were several tall rocks that blocked anyones view from seeing what he was doing.

With his bag, that he is planning to use to carry the seaweed walked to his spot at the beach.
He admired how sunny it was out and how beautiful the water looked today.

When he got to his spot he climed behind the rocks.

What he saw there was completely unexpected...

A woman,
completely naked as well,
just sitting in the sand looking dazed and confused.

Her hair was long, wavy, and a little nappy and her skin was fair.

When she noticed him her eyes widened.

Kayden quickly covered his eyes, he felt his face heat up.

"IM SORRY MISS. I DIDNT MEAN TO DISTURB YOU I DIDNT THINK ANYONE WAS HERE I JUST CAME FOR SEAWEED!!" He said quickly.

He was about to walk away but she spoke up.

"WAIT! Don't leave!"

He stopped and turned back around with his eyes still covered.

"What is it?" He asked.

"I-i need some help."

He sighed.

"With what?"

"I can't walk. How do you use these?" She asked, pointing to her legs.
Only Kayden still couldnt see her because his eyes were covered.

He was completely confused.
He really was just thinking of leaving her there, but that would be bad and he just couldnt do that.

He dropped his bag and started taking off his jacket.

He shuffled toward her with his eyes closed until he felt his shoes touch her feet.

He draped his jacket over her then opened his eyes releived to see that she was covered now.

She was just starring at him with big brown eyes that glimmered.

He let out a big huff and shakely moved his hands under her to pick her up. She didn't question anything and didn't awknoledge how awkward this really was.

He didn't really think she even knew how awkward this is at all.

He lifted her and carried her bridal style. He pouted as he walked past his discarded bag on the sand.
He came here to do something and ended up doing something completely different and unexpected.

"Where is your home at?" He asked her.

"I dont have a home up here." She simply replied.

"Then where am I suppised to take you?"

She just shrugged.

"I'll take you to my place." He furrowed his eyebrows as he carried the stranger back to his house.

He got some strange looks as he was walking down the street, he was more than releived when he finally got to his appartment.

He set her down on her feet for a minute to get his keys out, she seemed a little wobbly just standing there. She was clutching onto his jacket while she watched him fiddle with his keys.

When he got his door open he picked her back up and walked in, shutting the door with his foot.

He plopped her down on his couch and stepped back to look at her.

"Where are your clothes?" He asked.

She tilted her head,
"What are clothes?"

He gave her the most 'done with you' look ever and decided not to go anywhere further with that topic.

"Let me see your wound." He told her knealing down to her legs.

"What wound?"

"Your leg is hurt right?
That's why you can't walk?"

She tilted her head as she starred down at him. He groaned.

"Im sorry, if you would excuse me for this." He grabbed her leg and examined it carefully.
He felt his face get hotter as he did so.
After leg one he grabbed leg two.
Both were uninjured.

Why is she unable to walk then?
He wondered.

She yet again didn't awknoledge how awkward any of this is at all.
She seemed completely innocent.

"Why can't you walk?"

"Well living with a tail all of my life up until now should be a good explanation. You see I'm not used to my 'legs' yet." She said "legs" as if it were a whole new word to her.

He was thoroughly confused qnd was starting to gwt a headache.

He just sighed for the hundredth time and decides to just let her stay for today.

He walked over to his small storage closet and pulled out a blanket.
He set the folded blanket beside her on the couch.

He walked into his room for a second and grabbed one of his shirts,
then returned to her and threw it in her direction.

"Put that on please." He instructed.

She took the piece of cloth that landed on her head and examined it.

"How?"

Kayden groaned.
He took the shirt from her and closed his eyes again as he took off his jacket that was covering her.

He searched for the head hole and slipped it over her, when she was covered enough he opened his eyes so he could see if he was putting her arms in the right way.

Yet again she didn't find any of it awkward at all which he found terribly weird.

Once she had the shirt on he was satisfied with himself.
His shirt was huge on her, it was like a dress so he didn't have to cover his eyes around her anymore.

"You can sleep here for one night.
One night ONLY.
The bathroom is down the hall first door to the left if you want to take a shower first." He told her.

"What's that?" She asked.

"A shower? You know the faucet that spits water out to bathe under?" He explained.

"It spits water?! Wow I've gotta see that!"

She hopped up happily.
Then fell to her knees when she realized she still didn't know how to use her legs.

Am I going to have to carry her everywhere?! Kayden thought.

He picked her up and walked to the bathroom. He sat her on the toilet lid and turned the water on in the shower. She awed in amazement as she watched the water come out out of the showerhead.

She literally just got in herself somehow with his shirt still on and everything.

"HEY YOUR GETTING MY SHIRT WET, WHAT THE-"
He paused when somethung started happening to her, something he didnt know how to explain.

Next thing he knew she was laying at the bottom of the tub with a huge scaley tail.

Kayden was speechless.

His eyes were wide as he watched her happily giggle as the water sprinkled down on her.

He rushed out of the bathroom and shut the door behind her.

A MERMAID?!?!?!

WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL???!!

This actually explains quite a bit...
