Scar POV

It's been a day since I went to Etho and Pearl for help. Every 2 hours, Etho uses his healing magic to help Cub, who is still rendered unconscious. I pace around the room waiting for Etho to come out. I see the pale red magic fade from under the door, and Etho walked out.

I look at him expectantly but all he did was shake his head. 'Nothing' That was all he said. It was the same thing he said every time he came out. Since yesterday, Xisuma, and Doc as well, came to figure to out what happened. But I already know. Etho and Pearl seem to know too.

'Was it the wardens?' 'Was the skulk messing with his eyes?' 'Was it the shriekers noise?'

Those were the only questions I heard all morning, but I already knew the answer. Just when they were about to ask another stupid ass question, I interrupted. 

'Do you think this has to do with the Skulk Saga from the Empires crossover?' Everything froze. Not just everyone, but everything around us. The howling morning wind, the rushing waters down below us, even Jellie, who was meowing anxiously, seemed to tune down to a hum. Everyone stared at me, then each other with a look that read 'Why didn't we think of that sooner?' 

'Soooo' X started to say. 'I think we know what happened now...' and everyone nodded their head in agreement. Skulk. 

'We should get Shelby.' X said. 'She was able to cure him last time, I think she may be able to do it again'. What can I do? Nothing. I could use some healing spells, or vex magic, yes, but they would never approve. They can't know I'm a vex. Cub was only an exception because he was a 'good vex'. He was also a friend of Python, like me. Any friend of Python is a good person. I miss him, I really do, but once you leave Hermitcraft, theres really no hope in coming back. 

'But where can we find Shelby? Empires is ov-' Doc started to say, but I cut him off. 'I can get her.'

 'How?' Asked X. These goons I swear. Maybe start doing things other than Hermitcraft for once?

'Another series we're both in, called New Life.' All I got were a bunch of Ohhhhhhhh's. 

'What are you waiting for!' Cried Gem. Wait, when did she get here? 'Go save your boyfriend!' I instantly started to burn up. 

'W-w-what!' I shout. 'H-he's NOT my boyfriend!' Everyone started to smirk at me, and Doc starts to chuckle as Etho walks up to me. He shows me his redstone-covered comm and shows me a video of last night? Uh oh... I swear, if I talked in my sleep again-

Me and Cub were cuddling, I must have fallen asleep waiting for him to wake up. But what surprised me, is that I wasn't the one sleep talking. It was Cub. He started shifting in his sleep, to snuggle closer to me, and was muttering. I couldn't really hear it all, but from what I heard was an 'I love you'. I looked away from the video, turning redder then Etho's left eye. 

'You didn't even see the best of it.' Etho laughed. There's more?  'Come on, don't be chicken and look.' He devilishly smiles from under his mask. I force myself to look at the screen again. Etho unpauses the video (Waaaaiiiiiiiiiit, was Etho FILMING THIS THE ENTIRE TIME!? WHAT THE HELL?!?!) 

I look at the screen. Now, it was me snuggling closer to Cub. 'I love you Cubby.' I say, letting the nickname slip. Oops? 'Luv ya too Scar.' I freeze. The video ended, and Cub responded to me? 

'That was the closest too Cub waking up.' X sighs.

'Scar?' Someone said. I don't bother too find out who said it. 'S--r G-o---es, I re--at, HE-MIT C--FT -O SCAR GOODTIMES!' Someone screamed in my ear. It was Doc, his accent bright as day.

'S-Sorry, just zoned out I guess-'

'ZONED OUT? You were like that for MINUTES!'

'Well...' I start to say. 'I have to go get Shelby now- BYE.' I yell as I run through the door. When I was far enough, I took a stop on a roof, coincidently it was already the top island of Grian's base. I put away my elytra, careful to not clip my wings in the process. Finally, I let my cloaking spell drop, revealing my vex wings. I was about to fly off again when something interrupted me. A voice. No, not him!

'Scar?'

I looked behind me. 

Grian. 

'Grian! I was just- I can explain, ok!' I said a bit too quickly.

'Scar...' Grian started to say. Instead of telling me to explain, he ran away in fear. Panicked, I threw my elytra back on and left the server to go get Shelby.

'Oh hey Scar!' Shelby greeted when I knocked on her door. 'What can I-'

'Shelby! Somethings wrong with Cub! We think it has to do with the skulk and we need your help!' I yelled out, cutting her off.  She looked up at me.

'Take me to him' She said, determined. I grabbed her hand, and took off. 

'Where are we going?!' Shelby yelled as I kept running faster and faster. 

'To the rift!' I respond. 

'Theres a rift here!?'

'Yeah! Now hold on tight or you'll end up in the void!' 

'THE WHAT!?'

We spawned in the middle of the sky. Shelby was screaming.

'Here!' I yell over the wind handing her my elytra.

'What about you!?' She screams back, taking my elytra.

'I'll be fine as long as you can keep a secret!' Shelby nods her head. Then, I let go of her hand, and she zooms past me. Then, I let my wings out, then yelled to her 'Follow me!' I yell, and she does.

We fly and fly until the majestically majestical land comes into view. We land on the dragon-looking peak on top of it.

'Can you please not tell anyone...' I whisper to Shelby. She cocked her head to the side a bit in confusion. I sigh. 

'Do you know about the different types of vexes?'

'Yeah, learned it in my first year at witching school.'

'Well...' I start to say. 'I'm was born a vex.'

'Ok? I don't understand. You can't control if you were born a vex or not. They should look down on the turned vexes if you ask me. If it's a kid sure, but vex-borns only really go for the older and capable ones.' Shelby said.

'Cub was bit when he was young.' I whisper. 'When the village found him, he was already vex, and had a bite mark right here.' I say, pointing at the crook of my neck.

'Wait, we have to get too Cub!' She said, panicked.

'Right!' I respond. 'If you don't mind being carried, may I please have my elytra back?

Shelby smiles. 'Let's go save your boyfriend!'

'HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND!'

'What ever you say Scar, what ever you say...'
