"Be proud of who you are, Jungkook. Don't change yourself for others." Jimin pecked Jungkook's forehead, smiling softly. His voice was calming, and it was a huge comfort to Jungkook who seemingly was nervous about the day's events.
Today was different.
Every morning began with a steaming cup of coffee for Jimin, and banana milk for Jungkook followed with strenuous training that left them completely exhausted. At the end of the day, they would cuddle together, and eventually fall in deep slumber until the next day and the routine continued.
They trained along with freaks, who went around to perform bizzare stunts at the freak shows that was held regularly. It was difficult to get together with them since every one of them had a completely different body structure, but Jimin and Jungkook had each other and so, they never minded the diversity.
"I'm pretty sure that they won't like me," Jungkook said. "Look, I'm literally hiding my skin. Why did I even have to go to university when you're here at home?"
"Kookie, listen to me. We can't be always training and working with the freaks. In order to have a stable job, we have to get proper education," Jimin tried to make him understand.
"We're doing just fine with the freaks tho. Why do you have to send me to that damn university? I might even get abducted. And how am I supposed to shed my skin?" Jungkook shot his questions all at once, with a skeptical look on his face.
"Didn't you do just fine at school? How's it any different now? Kookie, you're overthinking. Education is important for now," Jimin ruffled Jungkook's hair, slightly smiling.
"I'm not overthinking, chim. I didn't have to hide my skin at school since I went to a school were freaks were treated as humans. Now, they treat us like an outcast. I'll just learn from home," Jungkook kept raising his voice at Jimin, and he sighed deeply, rubbing his temples.
"You have me, kookie. Nothing will happen. Trust me. Baekhyun's going with you anyway," Jimin patted Jungkook's back, rubbing soothing circles.
"Baekhyun's just a half vampire. He has nothing to worry about," Jungkook pouted.
"And you're a merman. I'm a snake man. We all are different in some way, Kookie. Don't let yourself down," Jimin smiled, assuring that everything would go good.
"Remember the time we met? Think of the university like that and attend it," Jimin said, raising his eyebrows.
"You're different." Jungkook murmured under his breath.
True, Jimin was different. They had met completely by coincidence when baekhyun's dad, the person who ran the circus recruited the snake man who fed on dead animals and a merman who was apparently knotted together by his parents who abandoned him.
Jimin and Jungkook were compatible at once. There was no hate to love relationship nor friends to a lover relationship. They had been connected by their hearts the first time they met. As years passed by, it turned into love and it didn't take time for the hearts to find out the part of their missing puzzle.
"I am different, Kookie. And you are unique. Be yourself and you'll be able to get through this," Jimin adjusted Jungkook's tie, before pecking him on the lips, with a light smile on his face.
"I still have no idea why they made you a teacher rather than being with me," Jungkook pouted.
"Be happy that they didn't put us in different universities," Jimin chuckled, adjusting his tie and running his hands through the neatly set hair.
"But what if you're teaching for a different class?" Jungkook sighed deeply.
"Then I would jump over the fence and spy on you," Jimin chuckled, while Jungkook hit Jimin playfully.
"I was not joking, Jiminie," Jungkook said, sticking his lips out.
"Well, I was not joking too. I would do anything for you," Jimin ruffled Jungkook's hair.
"I know, chim. Anyway, when's baekhyun coming?" Jungkook queried, raising his eyebrows.
"Probably in five minutes or so. Why do you ask that? He must be probably making sure to cover up his features. I'm pretty sure that his pale face and golden brown eyes would seduce many people and I seriously have no idea how he's going to manage," Jimin raised his eyebrows in amusement.
"Don't forget I can seduce people with my voice," Jungkook jumped up, trying to prove that he could do anything.
"I know you won't do that cause you already have me," Jimin said, smirking slightly. "Why do you get so worked up though? Jealous?"
"Of course. After all, we are possessive," Jungkook stated, flashing his infamous bunny smile.
"I know, baby. I'm only yours. It's almost time now. I'll drop you of at the university and take a second round to come back again," Jimin looked at his watch, sighing softly.
"Nothing bad will happen, right?" Jungkook was apprehensive.
"No Kookie. Trust me," Jimin hugged Jungkook, providing him with the warmth he once lost.
"Alright, chim. But I have a bad feeling something's going to turn out bad."

In the mere future that lies ahead,
If I had not trusted you then, would I be free?
I'm running into the darkness again, searching for my cure,
Believing you were my cure was a lie.
You're just like vile,
With your appearance deceiving,
Would I be more happier if I had not trusted you?
Now, locked in these four walls,
With my skin torn into the inky darkness,
Why do I yearn for you when you clearly hurted me?
But again, you're like wine.
I keep wanting for you,
Though you made my life miserable.
I miss the taste of your lips.
Just like strawberries.
Why do they taste like cigarettes now?
Am I stuck in the present or the past?
You didn't changed,
You were changed,
And you're trapped just like me,
Just not within the four walls of the experimental room.
