PPG POV

A peaceful night at Hoenn. Sapphire and Ruby are outside of their homes to watch the Millennium Comet, it is only visible for seven nights once every thousand years.

They sat down on a blanket and waited for the comet to show up. Sapphire is napping on Ruby's lap as he is stroking her hair. Ruby smiled at her cute sleeping face.

Soon, the clouds started to disappear and the comet became visible.
Ruby shook Sapphire gently and she woke up. Once she saw the comet, she smiled and got up.
"I gotta make a wish..." She whispered. She closed her eyes and held her hands. In a few seconds, she finished. She looked at Ruby, who was just staring at her with a smile. Her eyes widened and just avoided his eyes. She then asked a question to make this scene less awkward.

"Hey Ruby, is it true that if you make a wish on the comet it will come true?"

"I don't really know. But, I don't need to make a wish."

"Why?" She tilted her head in confusion

"Because, I already got my wish."

"Really? What's that?" She tilted her head.
He smiled and kissed her forehead.
She blushed. She was speechless.

"It's you stupid." He whispered.

"W-What? Are you serious?" She stuttered.
"Of course."
"But I don't think I didn't need the comet to make my wish come true. Since wishes are granted if we do something about it. The comet is only there for us to be inspired to believe we can do anything. It also inspired me to say this and do what I've always wanted to do." Ruby looked at Sapphire.

Then he leaned in and kissed her. She was shocked but kissed back. They pulled away.

Sapphire couldn't say anything. She was too confused to even find the right words to say. Then, he finally said something she could reply to.

"I love you Sapphire." He placed his hand on her cheeks and kissed her softly, gently caressed her cheeks.

"I-I love you too Ruby." She smiled.
"Ya know? My wish just came true." She said and laid her head on his lap.

"And what would that be?"

"I wished that you would love me back."

The two looked at the night sky as the comet flew across.
