Ch1 of How To Rob A Billionaire by HollyShmit

The title and the blurb.

There are loads of billionaire stories flooding Wattpad currently, with either possessive leads, fake-it-till-you-fall-for-me relationships or friends/enemies to loyal lovers...but robbing from a billionaire sounds fun. Robbing from a billionaire crime boss? Now we're talking. Respect to the female protagonist for that.

The contract is again a common element and the cover is not to my taste, but I'm intrigued by the premise. Also, the #lovetriangle tag caught my eye - for all those reading, one of my favorite romance tropes is the "love triangle" complex - so I'm totally hooked by this story.

P.S. It was hilarious to find the male protagonist's name, Rob B. Illion, perfectly match the title of this story. Comment here if you thought so too.

Is it me or was this chapter....a let down?

The beginning could've been executed better since the setup is somewhat laid out in the blurb and the cliffhanger was obvious because of it. I really thought the robbery would be sophisticated, as you're robbing from a billionaire of all people. But it was just the usual pickpocketing with the side dish of seduction (even though I didn't catch much).

I know this is a dark romance, but it would've been really nice to see a better version of the robbery. There was another crime, committed by the male protagonist this time, but I wasn't scared of him. Maybe I've read and watched too much action to find this so-so? I didn't find him that dangerous either.

I think I expected too much from this story...I really thought there would be a "Bang!" because of the cool premise. It's just not the book for me.
