2 - Haiku
Haiku - (俳句 high-koo) are short poems that use sensory language to capture a feeling or image. They are often inspired by an element of nature, a moment of beauty, or another poignant experience.
Contemporary haiku may stray from nature as a subject. Urban environments, emotions, relationships and even humorous topics may be haiku subjects.
Guidelines are as follows:
1. A 3-line poem about nature.
2. It is a "word" snapshot trying to capture one moment in time.
3. The first line has five syllables.
4. The second line has just seven syllables.
5. The third line has just five syllables.
3-5-7 = 17 syllables in total for Japaneese Haiku
English Haiku ranges from 5-7-5 to 8-8-8.
For reference, I have added the wikihow link in the external link for better understanding of the subject.
Hope it is useful.
Do read my poem and leave your comments. :)
