After another hour, the three climbed out of the vents and left the train station, finding themselves walking for a while until they spotted a petrol station, making their way towards it. The tension was strong between the sisters and Lia gave the two as much space as she could.

Lia browsed through the snacks section, grabbing pretty much every junk food she could find and carry in her hands before making her way over the counter to pay for it. She was always glad to carry her debit card with her at all times.

Natasha made her way towards Lia, placing down the items she also wanted to buy while conversing with Yelena.

Yelena walked towards the two. "You just didn't want your baby sister to tag along, whilst you saved the world with the cool kids."

"You aren't really my sister," Natasha stated while Lia clenched her jaw, noticing the look of slight hurt in Yelena's eyes but remained silent.

"And the Avengers aren't really your family," Yelena retorted.

"Why do you always do that thing?" Yelena asked Natasha out of the blue.

The redhead raised an eyebrow. "Do what?"

Lia paid the cashier the amount, giving him a generous tip who thanked her gratefully, paying no attention to their conversation whatsoever.

"The thing you do when you're fighting. The ... like the..." She nodded her head backwards and forward, glancing down at the ground and up at the two. "This thing that you do when you whip your hair when you're fighting with the arm and the hair."

Yelena mimicked the pose, extending her right leg out before putting her arm out and flipping her head back and forth. "And you do, like, a fighting pose."

Lia snickered, sharing a laugh with the blonde but soon hid it with a cough as Natasha stared hard at the two.

"It's a ..." Yelena stifled another laugh, staying in the same position. "It's a fighting pose. You're a total poser."

Natasha shook her head. "I'm not a poser."

"Oh, come on. I mean, they're great poses, but it does Look like you think everyone's looking at you, like, all the time." She said standing up and nodding towards us.

"All that time that I spent posing, I was trying to actually do something good to make up for all the pain and suffering that we caused. Trying to be more than just a trained killer," Natasha explained while Lia scoffed slightly.

"Well, then you were fooling yourself because pain and suffering is every day and we are all still trained killers," Yelena retorted, shaking her head.

"Except I'm not the one that's on the cover of a magazine." Yelena stated, glancing at Natasha. "I'm not the killer that little girls call their hero."

The blonde walked out, leaving Natasha and Lia at the counter, the latter sighing and grabbing her things from the counter before also heading out. She let the two sisters have some time to themselves to rekindle their relationship as they sat at an empty table.

Lia found herself walking around aimlessly near the station for a bit while snacking on a packet of cookies. She soon made her way back to the two, taking a seat beside them, listening to the two talking about their fake birth certificates.

The three sat in a comfortable silence before Yelena glanced at Natasha. "Don't."

Natasha's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Don't what?"

"You're going to give me some big hero speech, I can feel it," Yelena replied, shaking her head with a fond smile.

A smile also formed on Natasha's face. "Speeches aren't really my thing."

"Yeah, I assumed they were your boyfriend, Steve Roger's thing," Lia stated, smirking innocently at the redhead who glared at her but their was a faint blush on her cheeks.

"What?" Yelena glanced between the two, chuckling while Natasha kicked Lia's shin, a bit too roughly.

"Ow! What is with you two sisters and kicking my precious shins," Lia groaned, massaging her leg while Yelena and Natasha both shared a laugh, with Lia soon breaking into a smile too.

"Shut up, it was more like an invitation," Natasha stated, glancing between the two.

"To go to the Red Room and kill Dreykov?" Lia asked.

Natasha nodded. "Yeah."

"Even though the Red Room is impossible to find and Dreykov is too slippery to kill?" Yelena added.

Natasha smirked. "Yeah."

Yelena shook her head. "That sounds like a shitload of work."

"Could be fun, though." Lia suggested, shrugging, while Natasha chuckled lightly.

"I saw where he put the keys," Natasha said, glancing at the shed before back towards them.

"Top drawer, green cabinet," Yelena added.

"Well then, what are we waiting for?"

A while later, the three were on the freeway with Lia seated at the back, Yelena and Natasha both in the front, the redhead driving much to Lia's displeasure.

"You know, this is the first piece of clothing I've ever bought for myself," Yelena stated, glancing down at the vest she was wearing.

Natasha glanced at her then back to the freeway. "That?"

"Yeah. You don't like it?" Yelena asked her.

Lia smiled. "I think it's cute."

"Is that like a ...?" Natasha paused. "Is it army surplus, or .."

"Okay, it has a lot of pockets," Yelena remarked, bothered by Natasha's comment. "But I use them all the time, and I made some of my own modifications."

Yelena glanced down at her vest, seemingly very proud of it while Nat chuckled. "Oh, yeah?"

"Whatever. Shut up. The point is, I've never... I've never had control over my own life before, and now I do," she stated.. "I want to do things."

"I like your vest," Natasha finally stated.

"I knew it. I knew you did. It's so cool, right?" Yelena said excitedly which made Lia's heart slightly flutter from her adorableness.

"It's good. Yes. I like it," Natasha nodded.

"And you can put so much stuff in there. You wouldn't even know." Yelena continued rambling excitedly while both Lia and Natasha chuckled lightly.

Yelena fell asleep during the drive shortly after and according to Natasha, it was still going to be a long drive.

"So, how'd you two meet?" Natasha asked, glancing at Lia through the rear mirror.

"Funny story actually," Lia stated, a fond smile growing on her face at the memory. "She basically broke into my apartment and tried to kill me before convincing me to help her take down the red room."

There was a slight pause before Natasha spoke, a small smile on her face. "That's nice. Something she'd definitely do."

"You know, I will fullfill my promise," Lia reminded, meeting Natasha's gaze through the rear mirror who understood immediately what she meant.

If anything happens to her, I will kill you.

"I didn't doubt you would, Herondale."
