Spotlights*

I keep waiting. I don't know what exactly I'm waiting for, but I've been doing this for a while. It's like a switch. It's when the switch is off that I'm like this, waiting for something I don't really understand.

I don't usually like to save electricity, so I keep the switch on. When it's on, I'm what society calls Normal, so I try my best to stay that way. But at some point, I get tired of smiling too hard. I get sick of the Normality, so I turn off the lights.

You might say that 'turning off the lights' is a bad thing, but I see it as an opportunity to breath, to feel what I couldn't in the spotlight.

So here I am, waiting for the final chapter in the dark where I can breath without people questioning my motives, wondering when my story will end.

I'm happy.

I just hope that you're as happy in the spotlight.
