I Am Tired

I'm tired beyond belief,
and it's not lack of sleep.

I am tired.

I'm tired of life's sudden tides,
the push and pull of numb minds.

I am tired.

I'm tired of being in the dark,
and living by your every remark.

I am tired.

I'm tired of not getting out of bed,
and feeling awake but dead.

I am tired.

I'm tired of looking for you everywhere I go,
and realizing you would never show.

I am tired.

I'm tired of believing in second chances,
because you never helped the circumstances.

I am tired.

I'm tired of being tired all the time,
simply because I mistook you as mine.

I am so, so tired.
