Fragments of the Heart

It's been a long year
full of laughter and tears.
Not one day has passed
without writing, my dear.

Poetry has saved me
on multiple occasions.
No matter how many things I dealt with,
it was there for me in my personal equations.

Through heartbreak and distress,
I threw up stanzas like I did in my phases.
Through happiness and euphoria,
I morphed into 200 Microsoft pages.

People who know my works
would think my life is an easy upkeep.
People who know my works well
would know that I feel deep.

These poems are fragments of my heart,
sewn together with delicate heartstrings, you see.
No one could ever take my writings away
because they will always be a part of me.
