Me: Hey babe, still coming over later?

Bestie💚🔐: Of course, my shift just ended I can't wait to graduate from college and change my job. I need something more settled.

Me: Yeah I understand because at the end of the day when I get home, there is too much time on my hands.

Bestie💚🔐: That's what I need so we can start building our own family.

Me: You guys really considering have a baby together?

Bestie💚🔐: Yes! I told him we should wait until I change jobs though but his argument is it doesn't matter because I will be home for a whole year raising the baby.

Me: He has a point, you can try applying for a job before the year maternity break is up.

Bestie💚🔐: True True, I have officially moved in with Diondré please let me know if I'm moving too fast, I feel like I am.

Me: No you're not, you are grown woman and if that's what you want then do it. Besides you two already had the baby talk.

Bestie💚🔐: [laughs] you're right.

Bestie💚🔐: Yea babe.

The line clicks and I gather my stuff to head over to the Dionnis company, I should be meeting my team there since they were on the road already.

I pulled up to the parking lot and walk inside the building to meet Brandon and Joshua. "Hey guys, miss me?" I say in greeting, this is the first time we're meeting in person since I came back out to work.

"Of course we miss you" Joshua says and Brandon chimes in "Yea we do". I give them both a hug then we step into the elevator.

"I think Dionnis likes you" Joshua tells me.

"Mhmm, what makes you say that?" I say acting oblivious to his statement.

"He gets grumpy when you're not with us, you know when you were on vacation he approached me asking her you? His face was emotionless yet so serious I couldn't read him" he says recalling what he saw that day.

Yep sounds exactly like Dionnis.

"I'm sorry he came to you like that" I apologize.

"No no it's fine, so you two going out or something?" He asks and Brandon glares at him.

I knew Joshua had a crush on me but he has a terrible taste in women he used to date especially his child's mother and I don't want to be caught up in that drama.

Joshua is a little older than I am probably 30 years old and about 5'10 tall with small long locs, no beard and slightly bowed legs that would drive any woman crazy. His eyes are gray so he's probably mixed which explains his creamy beige complexion and his small nose piercing to top it off.

Everything about his appearance reeks trouble, I know he's a playa and that's why I chose not to go there with him (There as in a relationship). I don't share and I guess that's why his baby mother is acting crazy his dick is definitely the cause of her madness seeing how he's always acting cooky and making it print in his cargo work pants.

Last year he made a proposition to me, he wanted us to be friends with benefits. I was actually considering it until one day he had a flat tire; I took him to pick up his daughter from daycare and drop her off at her mother's house but the lady came at me talking about I'm a hoe for going with her boyfriend.

I didn't sleep with her child father and if I did he would be following me around like a dog on a leash.

I don't know if sis was delusional or what cause Joshua told her straight up infront of me that they had nothing going on besides co-parenting.

Shame woulda kill me.

From then and there I knew I couldn't get caught up with him and his crazy baby mama.

"Something like that" I reply as we make our way from the elevator to the server room. He looks over at me with a frown on his face but quickly mask it when we arrived at the I.T department.

"Hi Keith" I wave and he walks up to me to holds me a warm embrace.

I freeze like a deer stuck in headlights. Keith was always a bit too touchy for my liking but I am caught completely off guard by this.

Joshua gives me a knowing look and I roll my eyes. Why all the men around me wants to end up dead?

Dionnis does not play about me.

"Good to see you Anéyah" keith says as he lets go of me.

I look up at him with a faint smile "Uh, we came to do a data analysis on the server system" looking everywhere but at him, the atmosphere in here is very thick you can cut it with a knife.

Brandon clears his throat "okay we'll be on our way" he says pulling me by my hand and just like that Brandon saves the day.

"Thanks B" I whisper, "don't mention it" he smiles and open the cage that protects the CPU.

My flight leaves tomorrow morning and I can't wait to see Anéyah. Last night she video called because she was feeling horny, I told her I wanted to see her play with herself while she finds pleasure in her hands since I'm not there to do it for her.

Ms. B: I think Ms. Marshall is trying to drown Ms. Reyes.

Me: [exclaim] Fuck ! How did this happened? Call the guards and no matter what do not call the police.

Ms. B: Okay sir

I could hear her panting as she runs to the front of the house to get the security guard. She calls him for help and shortly after screams can be heard through the phone.

Me: [shouts] Ms. B!!

Ms. B: Sir I went to my house after giving Ms. Reyes her supper, I locked the door like you instructed but I don't know how she got out. I heard screaming so I came outside, I checked her house but she wasn't there and I remember seeing Ms. Marshall and her friend getting into the pool earlier so I wondered there to see if the screams came from them.

That's when I saw Ms. Marshall holding Ms. Reyes head under the water while her friend tries to calm her down telling her to let go.

Ms. Bernadette starts to cry and I waste no time in accessing the outside cameras on my phone.

Me: Calm down, everyone is safe now I will deal with this when I reach home.

Ms. B: okay sir

She hangs up the phone and I look to see what's going on from the camera feed. As much as Anéyah might be still upset about the injury Lemar sustained she wouldn't hurt Kira unless she provoked her.

I watch as Anéyah was being pulled from the pool by Greg and storms into the house with Lya not too far behind.

Lya passes her phone to her and mine starts to ring right after.

Phone Call

Me: [deep tone] Yes Anéyah?

Anéyah: I need you to choose, it's either you keep this bitch here and I leave or vice versa.

Me: Can we talk about this when I get back tomorrow anéyah?

Anéyah: [shouts] No we're talking now!

Me: [growls] Anéyah lower your voice when speaking to me.

Anéyah: you lose all dominance when your baby mother disrespected me yet another time !!

Me: Okay okay, give me until tomorrow please Ms. Bernadette will handle Kira.

Anéyah: [bitter laughing] I am so sick and fed up of her and this bullshit. Why did you disturbed my peace of you knew you was gone put me through hell Dionnis? [cries].

Me: [sighs] Anéyah I really love you please just let's talk tomorrow.

Anéyah: Whatever!

The tone in her voice was bitter and cold, I have never heard her sound that way before not even when Lemar was in the hospital. Could she really be giving up on us?

I call the doctor to go over to my house and check on Kira and the baby since I don't know if anéyah did any damages.

I dial Kenrick's number so he can check on Anéyah.

Phone Call

Kenrick: Yea bro?

Me: I want you and Antwaun to go over to my house right now.

Kenrick: Okay, what happen why you sound like that?

Me: Anéyah tried to drown Kira and now she's threatening to leave if I keep Kira on the property.

Kenrick: [laughing] I don't mean to laugh but that girl don't play enuh, I knew sooner or later she would of whooped Kira's ass.

Me: [groans] This is serious.

Kenrick: Yeah you're right, we're going now.

He hangs up the phone and I face palm myself. Everything was going great until today, Kira is making my life a living hell I can't wait for that baby to be born. Co-parenting is no longer an option when it comes to me dealing with Kira, if the child is mine I will be filing for full custody effective immediately.

Fiftie comes through the door and sit on the sofa across from me so he can see all areas of my house.

"Aaliyah called me" he says giving me a knowing look and I sigh.

"Dawg this girl a fuck up my life" I admit.

"The consequences you have to bare for not listening to Kenrick" he scolds and I groan out loud.

"Look on the bright side, Kira is still alive" he says and begins to laugh.

Why all of them finding this funny? If anéyah wasn't threatening to leave me I could of maybe see the humor in this tragedy.

"Anéyah wants to go back home and she expressed her frustration with dealing with Kira" I state.

"Sorry to hear D, I hope everything works out tomorrow that's if she's still there by tomorrow" he says and that fuels my urge to leave tonight.

There are no more flights leaving JA to Miami today only tomorrow morning, I wanted badly to get there tonight. I better see where Luke location is.

I dial the pilots number.

Phone Call

Me: Luke please tell me you're in Jamaica.

Luke: Yes I am, why ?

Me: I need to get to Miami tonight.

Luke: I was preparing for our early departure tomorrow.

Me: Luke I will pay you double if you get me to Miami tonight no excuses.

Luke: Okay give me an hour.

Me: Okay bro, thanks.

Luke: [laughs] Like I had a choice .

I hang up and jolt from the seat to pack my bags. I can hear the sounds of fiftie's laughter as I ascend the stairs.

The incident

Knock-Knock

I have been in the living room because I am expecting Lya. Dionnis haven't gave me the permission to share our house passcode with Lya so I have to be in close proximity of the front door or she would have to ring my phone to let me know she has arrived. To save myself the hassle I chilled out in the living room and watch tv to past the time.

I open the door and smile when I see her fine ass standing at the entrance. "I miss seeing you often" Lya whines.

"Same, our boyfriends live extremely far apart" I reply pulling her inside.

"Facts!" She says and we both started laughing.

"Come let's go upstairs and change I want to go inside the pool" I tell her and make my way up the stairs with her following closely behind.

I punch in the code and open the bedroom door for us to enter. My swimsuits are in the walk-in closet since Dionnis made me get rid of the dresser I made him buy for our bedroom.

He wastes money like it's nothing.

Lya walks into the closet and freezes"Bloodclarrt, this is how unuh a live? Diondré needs to build one of these since he's complaining about how much closet space I've taken up" I chuckle as she admires every inch of the room.

"Lya get ready no man, me no wan night come meet us out dey enuh" I whine.

"Okay okay girl but damn this is nice" she says in awe.

I shake my head and grin at her excitement. I was the same way when I first saw it.

I pull the bikini panty above to my waist and Lya does the same, we took turns tying the back of each other's tops.

Lya turns to the mirror and start twerking her ass so I grab my phone and take a video of us fooling around.

"Okay let's go" I laugh and pull her from the mirror.

The pool water is warm, I hold onto the border and lay my head on my hands soaking up the sun. "If Dionnis propose to you, would you accept?" Lya asks curiously stirring up turbine in my head.

"I don't really know Lya, I mean I love him and he is it for me but I just don't know if I'm ready for such a big step" I turn my head in her direction and she shrug her shoulders.

"If Diondré propose I think I'm gonna accept, he's financially stable, he's kind, loving, very attentive and open. I don't want to pass on a person like him so I will cease the opportunity when I can" Lya states and I agree. Diondré is a nice guy and he treats Lya like a queen so it's only right for her to say yes.

She has been through a tremendous amount of abuse and trauma, she deserves to know what soft life is like and revel in it.

I turned my face back to the left side because the sun was beaming on me a little too much. "Right choice" I respond.

"Who's that?" Lya asks.

"Who is who, what are you talking about?" I turn my head to see what she's referring to.

As the person gets closer their appearance becomes clearer. "It's that..."

"Kira" I finish her sentence by saying.

"Girl what is she doing here?" Lya asks and I have no answer to her question because I'm quite shock that she's here walking freely.

"Hi ladies" she greets as she comes to a stop near the lounge chairs.

Lya gives me the side eye and I roll mines continuing to soak up the natural vitamin D.

Dionnis has to be crazy having this woman on the same property as me and my child. She's obviously unstable and I don't want her no where near me or Lemar.

"Where is your baby bump Anéyah? I thought you were pregnant for Dionnis or you was just lying so you can move into his house and become his girlfriend" she says with distaste, hoping each one of her words would cut my skin like a knife.

Father God you know I'm trying to be on my best behavior and this bitch keeps trying my faith.

"Kira I do not appreciate you stirring up confusion with my bestfriend, just leave her alone please" Lya tries to diffuse the situation before it escalates because she knows the other side of me.

"Let's go inside Lya so Ms. Reyes can absorb some sunlight without us disturbing her peace since her skin is looking rather pale and ashy from being locked up in a house day in and day out" I lift myself from the pool and walk across the pavement to the lounge chairs for my belongings.

"At least I don't have to fake my pregnancy" she gloats as she voluntarily rubs her now oversized belly and smirk at me.

I chuckle at how persistent she is.

It's pathetic.

"You're right, I'm not pregnant and look where I am and the level I possess to what you're getting?" I laugh out loud "sweetheart even with that belly you still couldn't get where am at, give up the act it's embarrassing".

I grab my towel and phone, and before I can walk away she throws her juice in my face and walks up to me. "I'm sorry I missed you that day just know next time I won't"  she threatens and I push her into the pool, jumping in after her.

"Bitch don't you ever! Show - your- face- near - me- again" I lift her head by her hair and held it under the water as each word leaves my tongue.

Lya starts to scream for help. "Anéyah please don't kill her, we can deal with this another way please just let her go!" She exclaims.

"No Lya" I shout.

I can hear Ms. Bernadette screaming and talking on the phone but my main focus is on Kira. She scratch at my arms to try get me to release her and before I know it I'm being pulled away from her by someone's firm grip.

"Ms. Marshall please calm down, Mr. Millar will kill all of us if anything was to happen to you" Greg says pulling me out of the pool and the next security guard lifts Kira to safety.

"Let go of me Gregory!" I exclaim.

"Not until you calm down, please go inside Ms. Bernadette will deal with Ms. Reyes okay?" He says trying to deescalate the situation at hand.

He puts me down infront of the door and I storm inside and straight upstairs to my bedroom with Lya right on my tail.

"Where is my phone?" I ask Lya and she hands it to me, I quickly dial Dionnis' number.

Phone Call

Dionnis: Yes Anéyah?

Me: I need you to choose, it's either you keep this bitch here and I leave or vice versa.

Dionnis: Can we talk about this when I get back tomorrow anéyah?

Is Dionnis being serious right now? If I wait until he comes he will try manipulating with sex and I won't be able to resist. For some serious I've been extremely horny today even after played with myself the day prior.

Me: [shouts] No we're talking now !

Dionnis: [growls] Anéyah lower your damn voice when speaking to me.

Me: you lost all dominance when your baby mother disrespected me yet another time !!

Dionnis: Okay okay, give me until tomorrow please Ms. Bernadette will handle Kira.

So it was him that told the guard to intervene? Greg said the same thing to me when he wanted me to enter the house.

Me: [humorous laugh] I am so sick and fed up of her and this bullshit. Why did you disturbed my peace if you knew you was gone put me through hell Dionnis? [cries].

I truly love Dionnis but dealing with Kira is taking a toll on me, I can't keep allowing her to disrespect me and send threats my way like I'm the one that did something to her in the first place. Dionnis never mentioned being in a relationship before me and Kira thinks I spoiled her chances of being in with him.

Dionnis: [sighs] Anéyah I really love you please just let's talk about this tomorrow.

I wish he really meant every word but you can't keep putting the ones you love in harms way, that's not love.

I will wait until he gets back to hear his silly excuses.

Anéyah: Whatever!

I hang up and Lya sighs making her to way to the bathroom and I throw myself across the bed.

She's mad I can sense it.

I exhale and raise the phone over my face because it started to ring.

Phone Call

Me: What kenrick?

Kenrick: Are you okay? I was told to check come in on you.

Me: I am fine, tell your friend I don't need a babysitter.

Kenrick: [laughing] You're too hot headed, sometimes you have ignore.

Me: I did, I really did but then she threw her drink in my face as I was about to leave.

Kenrick: So you tried to drown her? [laughing out loud]

I roll my eyes even though he cannot see me, it's annoying how he finds this amusing.

Me: I wasn't going to kill her, I just wanted her to know I'm not the one to fuck with.

Kenrick: She really did find out and the baby is okay, Kira on the other hand is a bit shaken up.

Me: I don't care, do not update me on her condition.

Kenrick: okay fine, your brother says to chill.

Me: Both of you can kiss my ass.

Kenrick and Antwaun starts laughing on the other side of the line and I roll my eyes.

Kenrick: We won't bother come over.

Me: Good, Bye!

Kenrick: You best behave before you see the true side of Dionnis.

Me: [scoffs] I'm not afraid of him.

Kenrick: Not yet.

The tone in which he said that makes me think he's afraid of that other side of Dionnis.

Me: alright bye.

Kenrick: bye anéyah.

I lay down and ponder about what kenrick said about Dionnis. Is he really that bad like people say he is?

Lya comes out of the bathroom. "I'm going to leave I have a full day ahead of me tomorrow and a long drive home" she tells me.

"I'm sorry Lya I tried to contain myself" I apologize for scaring her.

"It's okay she started it" she says and I get up from the bed and give her a tight hug. "Drive safely okay" I tell her.

"I will" she leaves and I go to the bathroom to get ready for bed.

10:45pm|

I'm on my way home from the airport in hopes that anéyah is there in my bed sleeping.

I reach home in under 1 hour and head straight upstairs. I open the door and there she is sleeping peacefully under the covers. Trying not to make a sound I went to the bathroom and freshened up then join her in bed.

I snake my arm around her waist and pull her closer to me in a spoon position.

"Mmm... Dionnis?" Her voice comes out velvety soft as she wakes from her sleep.

"Go back to sleep anéyah" I say in deep stern voice and she says nothing, I wait until her breathing evens out then I close my eyes and do the same.

Super long chapter but I wanted to make up for being slow with new updates.

Good news my job overtime period has finished, I will have more time to focus on writing.
