"Are you sure she'll cope with this?" Peeta questions me as we head towards the lake water edge with Dwyn in my arms.

"All we can do is hope." I murmur in reply.

It'll be our first time I've been in the lake since Dwyn was born, now over a year ago. Peeta has sneaked in a couple of times. Now, it's Dwyn's first time. Peeta and I begin to wade in slowly.

As we get deeper, Dwyn starts to squirm in my arms.

"It's okay Dwyn. I've got you." I whisper and we walk further in, me going to just to my waist.

Peeta carefully dives in beside me and I sigh. I cup some water into my hand and sprinkle it over Dwyn's feet with a smile. All she does is look down to her now wet feet with curiosity.

I chuckle and panic runs through me and she leans down to try and touch the water. "No, no Dwyn." I usher and walk into the lake a bit further, so her feet are just about submerged the water.

"How's that princess?" Peeta asks as I see him come back up, metres away from us two.

"I think she likes it." I call to him and I laugh as Dwyn moves her feet in the water, creating small splashes.

"Do you like that? Do you like that?" I gush to Dwyn and she gurgles in reply. I kiss her brown curls. Peeta sinks under again to go for another swim.

I slowly wade a bit deeper and in minutes, I'm up to my chest. Dwyn submerged up to her belly.
"Hello." I comment as Dwyn lies her head against my neck a few minutes later. "Not too keen?" I question her and hold her head in my hand, stroking her hair with my thumb.

"When you're a bit older Dwyn, I think Daddy will be very keen to teach you how to swim." I alert her and she reaches her arm up and rests her hand on my chest.

If only I had my camera right this minute. I'd love to capture this, or even better, get Peeta to sketch this out.

Peeta pops out again and smiles when he sees us. "Could you sketch this later?" I ask Peeta and he nods.

"Let me take her for a little bit. I know you're dying for a swim." Peeta suggests and he comes close to us.

"Okay. But I don't want Dwyn going any deeper Daddy." I instruct Peeta as I slowly detach Dwyn from my body and placing her in her fathers arms. Peeta knows how I'm still being very protective over Dwyn. He understands clearly the reason why.

I smile before carefully diving into the water, making sure I don't create to much splash.

I glide under and I feel happy and relaxed. I open my eyes and continue swimming. I couldn't remember what it felt like to be under here.

I go up for breath before pulling myself back down.

I keep my eyes closed and shape my lips into a smile. I stay still in the silence of this world.
I rise back up and my content world is broken when my daughters squeals attack my ears. My face snaps to their direction and I quickly swim towards them.

"What happened!?" I exclaim, worried why my daughter is upset.

"Within 10 seconds, Dwyn realised you had gone and has been squealing for you since." Peeta explains and he passes Dwyn into my arms.

I hug her and gesture that I'm heading out. He nods and I walk out.

"Dwyn. Sshh Dwyn, Mama is here. I'm here." I coo and I get out. Still dripping when on land, I bob Dwyn in my arms.

"It's okay baby girl." I repeat, cradling her head in my hand.

This is probably one of the reasons why I didn't want to go swimming myself. Dwyn's bond seems to be stronger with me. But it makes sense, Peeta works most of the day at the bakery now.

"Dwyn." I coo as she begins to calm down. "There we go." I whisper and sigh when she stops. I stop bobbing and just stand there. My eyes trained on Rose's tree.

I don't know if she's on Peeta's mind anymore but she certainly is on mine. "I think your sister would have loved to help me look after you gorgeous." I state to Dwyn and soon enough, I discover her soft and shallow breathing.

Signalling she has fallen asleep in my embrace.
