Gabriel’s POV

The hot air of Mrs. Vanderbelt’s Scentsy Room Spray clogged the air around them. The redhead from gym stared at them blankly as if trying to process them.  

Gabriel glanced behind at the crowd of girls fawning behind them.

“Am I that handsome that you must stare?” Will remarked, his trademark smirk spreading over his face as he bent down to the redhead's size directly in front of her face.

“Actually-You’ve got dirt on your nose, by the way. Did you know?” She brought her finger to the side of her nose, “Just there.”

Will straightened himself abruptly and brushed the side of his nose in confusion, staring at his finger for dirt and then at James, Enzo, David, and Gabriel.

“You don’t have anything there, Will, “ Gabriel said with a roll of his eyes.

Gabriel brushed back the deeply dark brown hair he shared with Will and sighed in disappointment. Will didn't do much to maintain the superior image of the group but the girls were highly attracted to him.

Will put on an upset look and then stared in false anger at the girl who was already making her way down the hall. Her scarlet hair flew behind her and paper loosely wedged in her expendable threatened to fly out.

“STUPID MUGGLE,” she yelled to Gabriel’s confusion back in their direction.

“I’M ACTUALLY AN UNDERCOVER AUROR YOU SQUIB!” Will hollered back.

Vanessa’s POV

Vanessa and her mother had read the whole Harry Potter Series and watched every movie including the Fantastic Beast ones featuring Newt Scamander. They were both huge Potterheads and could recite the books word for word. A squib? How dare he? She was at least a muggle-born witch! Vanessa reached forward as if to grab his stupid face and slammed it against the desk which alerted the attention of various students and staff.

On the other hand, Vanessa was relieved on having requested to the principal at the beginning of class to have Marissa removed from her classes. If Marissa meant well, it didn’t seem like it.

She felt her phone vibrate through the pockets of her sweater. Vanessa picked up one of the history textbooks and propped it up on her desk, sliding her phone in front of the pages.

Her mom had texted her, “Would U mind coming home?”

For a second, Vanessa felt a pang of fear, her fingers shook as she texted back, “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing! I’m feeling really good today! 😁 I think the treatments are working, honey! 👍”

“Why don’t you come home early, we can have some family time!😘”

Vanessa’s face lit up and her fingers sped over the keyboard, “I’d ❤ to! R U going to drive me or should I walk?”

“I’ll be there to pick you up, give me ten minutes.”

“OK, bye 😘.”

She clicked the button on the side of the phone and the screen turned black. Her hand shot up, “Mr. Nestle, can I start packing up? My mom’s coming to pick me up in ten minutes.”

Mr. Nestle nodded from his book and shooed her away. She was out the door before he could realize what he had agreed to.

David’s POV

Will swung his legs over the desk and let his head dangle back at David.

“Keep it like that and I might rip it off,” David warned.

“Calm down,” Will replied back in a whisper, “I’m so bored. You just wanna ditch school today and go home early?”

“Yeah right. Like they would just let us out of here.”

Will smiled, “Who said we need permission?”

“No! You are not dragging me into another one of your “brilliant” plans,” David hissed.

“Fine. I’ll just go grab James and Enzo. You can stay with the worm,” Will said, signaling to Gabriel.

Will positioned his chair to James and Enzo who sat in front of him. David caught Will’s sleeve before he could say anything, “Fine. Let’s do this.”

This is just a filler chapter to get them out of school.
