The Announcement
Krystal shook Fox awake, still not quite sure how the dream wasn't fully a dream.
"Wha- What's going on?" Fox woke up with a start.
"Good morning Fox, well maybe, that's for you to decide."
"Umm, okay."
"I'm pregnant Fox."
As if a knife had been drawn between the two, they just silently stared at each other.
"Wow this is-"
"You don't seem very excited." Krystal said, but she didn't frown.
"To be honest neither do you."
Krystal looked away.
"Are we ready for this commitment?" Fox said getting up.
Krystal stay silent for a while.
Fox slipped some pants on and he went upstairs to get a belt.
But in Krystal's mind her answer was no.
Fox sat down on the bed. That's a lie, He flopped on to the bed. He had never felt so nervous before, not only would he care for Krystal but soon he would be responsible for another being. It was actually quite terrifying.
He turned his head and he looked at the picture of the whole team after they defeated Andross. So much confidence, nothing could go wrong. He looked over and saw Krystal on the wedding day. She was so beautiful in her wedding dress, while he practically sweated bullets, he was so nervous that day.
But even that day could not compare to the gut feeling of fear Fox could feel now. He got of the bed, he must have been on it for a while because the clock read later then he expected. He got up and walked to the closet. He opened the door to get a belt, when he saw a woman in white standing in front of him. Black holes in her head replaced her eyes.
Fox immeadiately slammed the closet door shut and ran down the steps.
Krystal was gone and so were the SUV keys.
"Shit!" Fox said aloud.
For some reason Fox felt an uneasy feeling. He was not alone. Suddenly the basement door swung open. Fox didn't want to go and see what did it.
Now he felt bad for not really believing Krystal in the first place. Why would she make up something like this anyways?
Suddenly down the stairs came the woman dressed in white. Fox bolted to the basement. The door shut softly behind him with a click.
Fox in his terror tripped and fell from the midpoint of the steps and he landed on his back. After being stunned he got up to see three hooded figures walking in a circle around a table with a large black vase. The figures sang in what Fox could only guess was an ancient language. Muffled from the singing which was quite loud, Fox could hear a baby crying in the background. Fox tried to back away, but some unseen force held him hostage.
"Who are you? What do you want?" Fox cried.
The chanting continued, but one hooded figure broke the circle and walked towards Fox. It tore off the cloak and leaned against Fox. Fox tried to turn his head but the unseen force prohibited this motion.
"Who are you?" Fox said again a little louder.
The figure giggled,
"Don't you remember me Fox?" Angel stepped into Foxes view.
Fox didn't know what to say.
"Cat got your tongue, let me make this easy for you."
Angel stepped forward and kissed Fox. Fox resisted most of the time, but in the end he gave up. Just when he was starting to like it Angel stopped.
She stepped back,
"Your a good kisser. Too bad Krystal will see you kissing me in the future."
"That's never going to happen, I would never."
'"When lives depend on we'll see."
Fox glared at Angel who was unzipping her out fit a little to tease Fox some more. But Fox shut his eyes and thought of Krystal, what was she doing, was she safe?
Angel frowned,
"I thought you were better then this Fox."
She walked over to his ear. She whispered something.
"Fox, how is Krystal anything to you, why is she something that you think I am not."
Fox stared at the two chanting maniacs and then he answered.
"Krystal is the most beautiful woman I ever laid eyes on, it an honor to be in her presence, she caring, loving, sweet, and I adore her, she's a goddess, my goddess, and I would love her no matter what. You two may have your similarities but Krystal is my soul mate. Not you. Not ever!"
"Really? Because Krystal thinks your doing something naughty behind her back."
"I'm planning something big for her, but it's a surprise."
"It the surprise you cheating on her?"
"No, it's not."
Angel slowly let Fox down, he lie on the cold basement floor. The unseen force not letting him resist. Angel climbed on top of him. She smiled and said,
"No belt? You came prepared."
"Get off of me now Angel!" Fox said. He had a really bad feeling that Krystal was near. Suddenly he heard the SUV engine in the garage. It shut off.
"Angel get off of me now!"
Angel only smiled as she reached down Foxes pants.
The SUV door opened and then shut. Fox could hear Krystal approaching the door to the house.
Angel leaned down and kissed Fox tenderly. She placed his paw/hand (Whichever I don't know) on her chest.
Apparently the unseen force was talking a doughnut break, because Fox summoned the strength to get and throw Angel off. He raced up the stairs as Krystal entered the house.
"What were you doing down there?" Krystal looked down at the basement, she saw nothing.
"Uh I heard a noise and I went downstairs and a bat was down there. So I chased it. It got into my fur a little, that's why I look so scruffed up."
"For real Fox."
Krystal didn't like when Fox lied, which seemed to be quite often lately and she could tell even without using her powers.
"Fox why are you thinking of Angel?" Krystal demanded, stepping closer to Fox.
"Ok, I wasn't chasing a bat in the basement."
Krystal remembered her dream or illusion from the previous night.
"The bitch better not be down in the basement Fox."Krystal raced downstairs.
Foxes heart was racing.
A few minutes later Krystal came up.
"I don't know what you were doing down there but if I catch you doing anything bad behind me back...." she didn't finish.
Fox looked down and saw a smiling Angel. He slammed the door shut.
Fox looked over at Krystal, she lie on the couch reading a magizine.
Fox knew Krystal was exceptionally strong for a creature of her size, but so was he, he wondered what she might do, maybe not too much.
Krystal slowly turned her head towards Fox.
Maybe he shouldn't have thought that out loud.
"Not too much!" Krystal never roared at anything or anyone before, until now.
Fox ran to the garage and shut the door behind him.
'Crap' he thought. He forgot the keys.
"Krystal took the keys off the counter top and lay them to rest in her cleavage."
Fox may be her mate, but that didn't mean she would let him touch her whenever he wanted.
Fox slowly slinked back in to the house.
"Krystal I'm sorry."
Krystal didn't look up.
Fox knew he screwed up this time.
