Feel and Felt/ Show not Tell

Feel and Felt are a sign that you're telling instead of showing. In some cases you're fine but is you're using it too often make sure you catch yourself and fix it.

The ground seemed to get closer after he took a step.

Show not Tell is not always right because in the end you have a bunch of pretty sentences that mean practically nothing. Instead of always showing and not telling do this:

Show emotion
Tell feelings

Don't tell us "she was sad" show us "her lip trembled and her eyes burned as she tried to keep her tears at bay".

Don't show us "her eyelids were heavy- too heavy. Her limbs could barely function and she couldn't stop yawning." tell us "she felt tired that morning.
