𝐈'𝐌 𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄, 𝐁𝐈𝐓𝐂𝐇!

Happy New Year! Long time, no see, everyone! I hadn't even realized I'd been gone for, pretty much, the entirety of 2020, but considering the circumstances, I don't think anyone can blame me, especially since I had already kind of disappeared in order to focus on school, but I'm back now and I genuinely have a plan and intend to stick with it, and I'm here to let you in on that plan, as well as clarify what I will be doing, so that we're all on the same page!

𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍

My general plan is to finish the fics that I have in progress, as well as start and finish the fics that I have in drafts and have created along the way, but generally I want to make sure that I don't leave any of my fics (especially the Hero of Heroes ones) unfinished, because it has been haunting me for the year I've been gone and I don't think that's good for my mental well-being lmao.

My general idea is to focus on certain fics for a certain time, but I might not follow that, as I might get inspiration for a fic that isn't in the set group of the month/time segment. The ones that I don't think I'll be updating for some time, I will put a marker saying (O.H.) or (C.S.) to clear things up, but generally I will try to rotate so that nothing is left sitting for too long, and I also don't want to rush myself to finish, because I have done that in the past, and all those fics I have absolutely regretted and am so disappointed in, and some I am rewriting (more on this later).

𝐔𝐍𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆

At this current moment, the only fics I'm unpublishing are:

Because I just don't really have any ideas for them, and it's disappointing, but I think it's for the best, and I'm not planning on unpublishing anything else, but I can't make any promises, but I will make an announcement if something else is going to be retired, but for now these two are the only ones going away.

𝐑𝐄𝐖𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆

I didn't realize I would want to rewrite so many stories—though for some I'm just restarting because they're not finished, but the point still stands that they're being rewritten—because I'm no longer proud of them and they haunt me. The running theme for these is that, for the ones I finished, they wound up bad because I rushed them. An example of this for a fic I'm not rewriting (at least for now) is my Bruce Banner fic "Inside Voices," and I'm incredibly disappointed in myself, but I'm letting that sit for now, and will be focusing on these for the time being in terms of rewriting:

— 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐬 (I might also be recasting Arabella)

What I will be doing is unpublishing the chapters that are up and begin the rewriting process, though for those of you that have read the original chapters and might want to compare them to the rewritten ones, I have taken that into consideration.

𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐘𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐁𝐈𝐍

This will be a book where I place all the original chapters/works that I have rewritten, whether that be the original Lonely Hearts chapters before I rewrote them, the various versions of certain chapters of Sugar Rush, or just the entirety of Human Condition that I had up before I unpublished it due to sort out the casting, and then decided to just fix the entire story in general.

This is just where I can place all my work so that you guys can roast me, as well as just a place so I can have them saved but still seen, because I don't want to just erase them entirely, especially since ya'll have left such sweet comments at times and I don't want to just pretend that didn't happen, but we're just going to move them to a new place. I am still going to keep the original Dexter book up, though, so if you want to read the original Dexter, just go to the book itself.

𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐖𝐀𝐑/𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄

If you were here back in the day and are still here now, you'll know that I had planned to write into Infinity War and Endgame with a fic called "Swan Song," and that has been a genuinely daunting, looming threat on the horizon, and, if I'm being honest, I really didn't want to write it, but I felt like I had to because that would be the only way I could write after Endgame, because I was planning on making some changes and adjustments, and obviously there would be certain things that happened.

HOWEVER! The wonderful, amazing, genius luminite helped me realize that I don't need to write into the two films and instead just show the after effects in the stories I write. To explain, rather than write Swan Song to show what happens to Nicky Green during Endgame, I will just show what happens and, if need be, explain in a few paragraphs to clear up anything that I might have changed from the films. It's almost as if you guys will be in the shoes of everyone who had dusted (or blipped, as FFH calls it).

I've done this before in my other fics, you can see it done a lot in Past Lives, Almost Happy, and Broken Lullaby, and I think I'll be able to do this, and it takes a lot of weight and fear off my shoulders, as well as sets things up perfectly so I don't have to stress about rushing to get things done so I can write into the SamBucky show, and instead can just write into it as soon as possible.

I hope ya'll are okay with this, because I genuinely feel so much better with this plan, and I might write Swan Song some day, but I won't be beholden to writing it first before I can write into Far From Home or any of the other post-Endgame films.

𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐋 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒

It will be some time before this particular book goes up, but this is the Alternate Love Interests book I had mentioned I wanted to write years ago, and this is just where I take my existing OC's and write one-shots or just short novella kinda stories for if they had a different love interest (ex. Nicky Green and Tony Stark). This will be some time before it's up, but I am planning on it, so I figured I would mention it here as well.

I just wanted to say thank you to all of ya'll who stuck around even when I disappeared, because I've been gone a while and I do feel bad about just ghosting ya'll like that, leaving all my fics unfinished, but I really appreciate how understanding ya'll have been about why I was gone and that I took a break, because it really did help me, and now I'm here in full force ready to give my all, and I promise I'll get my shit together and get it done, because no one wants these fics finished more than me, I can promise you that.
