Guys okay so like thanks to soulofstaars and tinkertaydust for putting out Jean Grey and Scott Summers fics, I had a really rad idea. So ya'll know how my first fic on here was my Scott Summers fic 'Dexter' and how it was like #1 in X-Men and ScottSummers and whatever, and while I'm super proud of the idea, I hate the execution.

Now, before ya'll decide to come up in here and say you loved it, know that I really appreciate you guys (honestly deadass all the new people who read it, I'm so sorry know that I improved) but while I love that you guys love it, I'm not happy with it. Like. At all?

But I really liked the idea, so what I figured was this: How about I rewrite it?

Like, I'm keeping the original Dexter up, with the new faceclaim and everything (though i kinda wanna switch it back now to show improvement, but I did state already why so I think I'll keep it the same for both) but I make a new story and I rewrite it the way I would now.

This might fall through, but we can see how I would do it now and get rid of all the extreme uses of slang because that was so heavy handed and get rid of all the cursing and get rid of that disgusting dance scene, because that was just *shudders* (I could make it more like the one I did in my Sam Wilson fic, though that one also makes me cringe, but whatever)

What do we think? Like, I have way too many other fics, but I really do love Dexter's premise, but I'm tired of all the "but Pyro already exists" comments because I know! I would change it to be Icarus like I wanted back when it was supposed to be a series.

That is deadass why I wanna rewrite it. Just to change her name to Icarus. But I won't change it in the original one because I'm too sentimental.
