^ this is me right now and will probably be for a long time until America gets it together

So, we probably all know that America has pretty much fallen down the drain in terms of our presidency and general lack of human rights anymore it seems. I swear, when he was elected it was a shitstorm in our own schools, people were barricading entrance for hispanic students, people were being harassed by neighbors, and now Trump just banned transgender citizens from joining the military.

And that's just the problems in America, the rest of the world is suffering as well (I won't list specifics because this will just make everyone sad) and online people are choosing to spread more hate than positivity which is honestly really sad because after everything that's happened and is happening, we should try to be kinder and more considerate.

So, anyways, it is because of the need for positivity that I will be doing a tag listing some of my favorite things (cue music) inspired by the amazing snixandstones. I was tagged by tinkertaydust and starfragment and I will be tagging a few of my friends/mutuals/people I follow to do this too (although you don't have to and if you wanna do this, but I didn't tag you, go ahead and do it!):

1. okay, so my friends love showing me these youtube videos that are so ridiculous that they're hilarious (my teacher even showed up history of japan if we promised not to tell everyone else) and I find it hilarious, I love the jingles. My best friend recently showed me the Lord of the Rings guide video and I fell in love, it's the best. I just love ridiculous YouTube videos (have you guys seen Potter Puppet Pals? That was more integral to my childhood than the actual book series)

2. the vine from above lmao. i love watching vines, like thomas sanders' vines, patrick william charlton's, and those vine compilations on tumblr because those are high quality. i'm selective with my vines, but if you find some funny, please send them to me because they're short enough to keep my attention and I always love those

3. musicals. I love musicals. I can't always listen to them because I don't have the attention span to just sit and focus, but I love musicals. Newsies, Spring Awakening, Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, Allegiance (so underrated), The Lightning Thief (so good) and so many more, I can't even describe it. They make me happy.

4. music makes me happy. I sing and play a good number of instruments, but listening to music makes me very happy. I can't dance to save my life, but I like imaging choreography and general movements and stories to songs and it just makes my day when I can put in my headphones and walk around my house.

5. stand up comedy. I just...I love laughing, you guys, people make fun of my laugh all the time and recently it's been really hard to actually make me laugh, so when I actually get to it's the best feeling in the WORLD. I love comedians that also talk about important topics and are respectful, but are still funny. I'm still finding more but my favorites (okay, I only watch these three) are John Mulaney, Trevor Noah, and Hasan Minhaj those guys are HILARIOUS. John doesn't talk about very important topics, but the latter two do and they're all just amazing.

So yeah! These are the things that make me happy! Other things that make me happy include: talking to you guys on this site, writing fanfiction, and Tom Holland (I know it sounds dumb, but he honestly does) and honestly, I'm so happy that I actually have more than five things to list. I thought I'd have some difficulty, but I guess not and that in of itself makes me ecstatic.

This was fun and made me happy so yeah!
