day two ♡
2) remove your phone's lockscreen.
×××××××
setting yoongi as his wallpaper is already a hard thing to do because taehyung always has his hands on his phone (he still does even if he's doing the fourteen days thing already, just to tease the younger), but now that he has to remove the last piece of wall of his phone?
jungkook can already feel the embarrassment he'll encounter later when somebody sees his wallpaper.
as possible as he can, he kept his phone in his pocket and would sometimes leave it in his locker. so far, he's kinda succeeding and getting through the day without anyone seeing his wallpaper, which makes him happy.
he sat on a booth beside the window of the milk tea place that he and his groupmates decided to go to after classes to get their report done. they had to report the nervous system, prepare a powerpoint presentation about it, and make a questionnaire for their classmates to answer. since they were allowed to choose their own groupmates, jungkook was grouped with bambam, johnny, and of course, taehyung.
johnny was the first one who arrived, about five minutes after jungkook got in. then bambam followed thirteen minutes after because he had to run back home to get his laptop (luckily, he lives just a few streets from their school). and taehyung arrived an hour later, when they're almost done with the report.
"where have you been anyway?" jungkook said, glaring at taehyung. tae sheepishly smiled and grabbed a random milk tea from the table and drank from it.
"had to do something last minute."
"more important than our report that is due tomorrow?" bambam asked, making jungkook nod.
taehyung scratched the back of his head and looked down. "i, err, k-kinda auditioned for the school p-play?"
"you did?!" the three exclaimed, making everyone snap their heads towards their table. he nodded and told them to keep quiet.
"why didnt you tell me? i couldve accompanied you and cheered you on." jungkook pouted, suddenly feeling bad that his bestfriend had to audition and go through all those on his own.
"i intended to not tell you because i dont want to be distracted. seeing your face makes me puke..."
"yah!" the younger smacked taehyung in the head using his notebook, not stopping until he shouted defeat and tapped out.
"can you guys please stop?" johnny mumbled, hiding his face because the others started looking at their booth weirdly because of the commotion.
they continued doing their report, once in a while bickering and ordering food and drinks to satisfy their hungry tummies. by the time they wrapped it up, it was already 9 o'clock. they stepped out of the shop, laptops, notebooks, and papers in their hands, and the cold gust of air of the chilly evening enveloped them, making the four shiver under the cold touch.
"maybe i'll just take a cab. i might freeze to death if i'll still wait for the bus." johnny said.
"how about you, bambam? how are you going to go home? you live outside the city, right?" jungkook asked, concern evident in his tone.
bambam bit his lip and nodded. "yeah. riding a cab isnt really an efficient and wise choice. i dont know how to, either."
his head then snapped up. "c-can i borrow your phone? i think my mom can pick me up if she's still at work!"
jungkook quickly fished out his phone and gave it to bambam, not even remembering that he has no lockscreen and that his wallpaper is yoongi.
he only realized it when he saw his phone screen light up, and he internally screamed and stabbed himself as he watched bambam fiddle with his phone.
"eh?"
bambam raised a brow, making jungkook mentally pray to the gods to give him another chance to do the fourteen days challenge.
bambam faced the phone towards jungkook. "who's this?"
jungkook felt himself jumping and screaming hallelujah when he saw that instead of yoongi's pretty face on the screen, it's a pop out of a new message. he forgot that a pop out always displays on his screen whenever a new message comes in, and he's silently and greatly thankful for that feature, even tho he find it annoying like most of the time.
he grabbed his phone and read the message, which was just his cousin who was asking him about his mom's phone number. he attached his mom's contact info and sent it and quickly opened his inbox.
he gave the phone back to bambam, who just thanked him and quickly typed a message to his mom.
taehyung nudged jungkook and pointed his pouted lips towards bambam. 'did he see it?'
jungkook shook his head and did a thumbs-up. 'got lucky today. i think fate wants me to end up with hyung.'
tae raised a brow and pretended to gag at his bestfriend, which earned him another smack from the younger.
half an hour later, bambam's mother picked him up, and the three went their separate ways.
once the two boys reached the bus stop, tae remembered something so he nudged jungkook.
"hmm?" jungkooks sleepily responded, finding it hard to stay awake. tae laughed and ruffled his hair.
"you ready for the third part of your fourteen days?"
jungkook groaned. "what is it now?"
the older grinned and typed in a message and a few seconds after, jungkook's phone dinged, receiving the message.
after reading the message he got, he turned to taehyung, his mouth agape and his eyes wide.
"are you serious?!"
